My medium sketch tote arrived today and I love the placement! My princess bag should be here tomorrow.

I'd love to see pics! My sketch will be here on monday and I'm anxious about the placement. I really want unobstructed Tink and castle.

Two words......Saran Wrap.

Wrap it AROUND the handles and cut small squares, etc, and place on the leather where needed. Works like a charm.

Has anyone actually scotchgarded the leather? I was googling info on scotchgarding the handbags and it says to spray the leather, that it keeps it looking new.

For some reason, I didn't want to scotchguard the sueded leather on the Faces bags, call me a wimp. LOL

But, I'll try it on the stripes one. I can re-guard that one this weekend and tell you all how that went.

Also, I DO have a Minnie Faces bag that is STILL BRAND NEW in it's plastic bag! (DH just shakes his head at me)
I think I'll go ahead and scotchguard that this weekend, too, and let you all know.

you were able to use it as a carry on? good to hear! i have this bag and was concerned it might just be a bit too big for the carry on standards (but also thought since its squishable i would still be able to use it)

In the 2nd picture down you can see a lady with the rope handle style as well. That's the one I like.

I love those new Harvey's. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to pass. They surprised the Star Wars world by announcing Star Wars Celebration 6 is August 2012 so I'm trying to save up for that. I like to travel way too much.

Are there any updates lately on the availability of the Dooneys on the Dream?

I haven't seen many on ebay lately (only 2 listed now) and wonder if they are already sold out onboard.

I have my Dream wristlet that I am debating selling and I don't see any completed on ebay to even get an idea of what those are selling for now. Anyone see any sell lately?

The sketch bags all look different so I am afraid to buy one of those on-line. I need to see it in person so I will wait until we got back to WDW this fall for one of those. What do those of you who know more about the D&B purses think?

Hi, I don't know if you are open to buying one of the messengers on ebay but they have had some going for under $200 and they are brand new. The advantage to ebay over Disney is you can see the placement before you buy as well as save money. Most of them, esp. the ones on bid are the pictures of the one you will actually get. I got a 40th Ann. messenger that way last week for $172. It is really nice placement for me and brand new for almost $100 less than retail. I hope that helps.

We have a side discussion about this topic on the Disney D&B FB page - I got a great bag and wristlet in the Dream print from a friend who cruised on the Dream in early April. I have another friend leaving on the 5-night cruise tomorrow. According to Disney Merchandising (whom we called on Friday), there are both Dream bags and Sketch bags on that ship (my April cruising friend didn't see the sketch but saw a ton of the Dream pieces, which is what she brought me).

I can let you know for certain next week when she comes home Sunday!

On another note, I am a bit nervous about availability of the 40th print - it hasn't been online in the Kristen in a while, and I haven't heard reports about any bucket bags, just messangers, I think, in WDW.

I got my first Dooney in the mail from Disneystore.com and had to return it. The mini margot is so small I can't get my stuff in it. I loved the print though. I am ordering the princess bucket as an exchange. I do love the Dooney cosmetic bag though.

Heatherwillmom - I see alot going on in the 40th design purse. First there are 3 characters - Donald, Pluto & Goofy. Personally I don't want any half bodies or cut off heads in the pattern on my purse. The design has the logos for all 4 parks. I hope to have all 4 logos on my purse. I also don't want the wording cut off - Walt Disney World. You will see purses with just Disney world or less. There are 2 banners that say Walt Disney World. I prefer the one that has the train over top of the Walt Disney World banner. I don't like the map of the park or the picture of the old submarine ride so it is fine to have the dooney label over these items. These 2 items appear to be very much front and center on many of the purses. And, of course, I would like Walt Disney's picture somewhere on the purse. Wish me luck in finding this exact purse when I go in July.
