Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Are there any reports on how well stocked the Dooneys are on the Dream? We aren't cruising until September and I had wanted a DCL wristlet and DCL bag. I already have the DREAM wristlet but am debating selling that one.

I sure hope they still have the 40th Anniversary bags this summer. I didn't get one in February and am now kicking myself for it. I did get a 40th wristlet thankfully but never did find the perfect placement bag that trip.

We haven't been on the Dream, but on our last couple of DCL cruises I was constantly popping into Treasure Ketch hoping to find the perfect wristlet. They always had plenty of stock, but I think what happens is people snap up the ones with nice placement and leave the ugly ones, so eventually pretty much everything on display ends up being awful. I swear a couple of wristlets I saw in January were still there in April, and they were waaay ugly.

I found a CM who was willing to get more totes out of the back so I could choose the one I wanted, but when I asked about bringing out more wristlets he looked at me like I was crazy since there were already baskets full of them on display.

Of course that's just my theory, and maybe they sell through even the ugly ones quicker on the Dream since there are a lot more people onboard and not everyone is as obsessive about placement as some of us are.

I'm still kicking myself because I bought a white DCL wristlet that wasn't bad in January, but I didn't totally love it, so I agreed to sell it thinking I could just pick up another one in a few months. Nope, didn't find even one I liked enough to buy on my next cruise.

I hope that's not too discouraging. I did find some colored wristlets with really nice placement, but the white ones are definitely hardest because the pattern is larger on them.

Oops I thought your trip was before mine. But, I don't think I'll be buying another 40th bucket or messenger Maybe, a wallet and a wristlet if I can sale my sketch letter carriers. I've never eaten at Earl of sandwich.. what's your favorite ?

I love the original but they are all great. I like to walk over to the margarita stand and eat by the water...I can't wait.

If you're ever up in Boston ShariVT, they're now building an Earl of Sandwich on the Boston Common.
It's not open yet, but it will be walking distance from my office when it does open, so I know I'll be heading there when I'm "homesick" for Downtown Disney!

So I have a Dream set and I'm not cruising this year!! From what I understand, the sketch bags are only on Magic and Wonder. Can anyone else confirm? I am DESPERATE for a large sketch tote and yellow wristlet with good Goofy placement

I am down to 98 days until I leave for the World and I find my perfect Kristen (and possibly wallet).

What pattern is the Sketch? I know it did seem like a very limited amount of patterns on the Dream.

The original is my favorite too - but with the horseradish. They already have one at Logan Airport (don't know how that one is), but I'd never make it there & back to Post Office Square in the hour I have for lunch.
As for tuna sandwiches, the Milk Street Cafe (near Borders / behind the church) has the BEST tuna I have ever had - you should check them out if you're ever in Downtown Boston with your daughter during the week (they're closed weekends).

Is the Dooney/Disney partnership really coming to an end? I can't find where I read it, but I think it was somewhere in this thread. I've just begun my collection, so I hope not! In about 10 days time I've done some damage :lol:

I have a 40th anniversary bag on its way to me as well. It's definitely a great start, but I wouldn't mind a wristlet in the black balloon print some day.

I'd love to share with my fellow DB dissers the Kristen that I picked up at the park last week. I really like my placement and it took me a while to find what I liked but it was out there. The EPCOT was the hardest to find, this one I was able to get one on the side. All the others it was cut off on every side.

When I was in the World the end of April, I was very disappointed in the lack of Dooney 40th anniversary bags I posted some pictures of the displays from several stores in different parks on page 133 I never saw any 40th bucket bags or any 40th wristlets There were no Lucy styles either Hopefully they will be restocking their inventories soon

I was so busy posting photos of the Dooney bags in the parks, I just realized I haven't posted a photo of my new 40th messenger bag I went down with all expectations of getting a bucket bag but when I went to get my white Mini Margot ready the night before we left, I found it didn't hold all the stuff I take to the parks with me So I needed something for the parks and ended up discovering that the messenger style is perfect for my park needs But now I have a brand new never used white Margo I have to sell If interested, pm me

I love how I have the castle and Walt both so centered on the front and also have all three characters It took a while to find the perfect bag for me but so worth the time investment And to top it off, I used my Disney Visa reward points so it didn't cost me a cent And it was the only one that still had the old price of $255 on it

Thanks! Yeah the mini Margot is pretty small but I think it will be great for hands free in the parks. The 40th bag I got is the small messenger. As far as shopping goes I got the black Mickey Wonder tote and cosmetic bag from disneyshopping. The purple sketch and 40th messenger were from ebay since I wanted to pick placement and the Mini Margot is from a DISer. I'm hoping to pick something else in the 40th print when we go to WDW shortly...if they have much available when we're there.
