Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

So I got my 4 Lucy bags. None of them had great placement, but one is good. I'll get pictures of them posted and link it up here. I'll try photobucket again, but don't expect too much!

On a side note, I LOVE the purse itself! Great size (not too big and not too small) and the fact that it zips is a huge bonus for me!!!!

Sorry none of your bags were perfect. Really such a shame that they don't consider placement when making these bags, as it really does make a difference. But the bag is great, isn't it?? I thought it would be too small for me but it really is perfect!

Catira, where on disneystore.com are you seeing that the 40th anniversary is on sale? I don't see anything like that. And I don't want to miss out on an opportunity.

Sorry.. what I meant to say is that they are now selling them on the disneystore website. They are offering free shipping with the purchase of $75 or more. Have you checked out ebay lately? There have been several auctions of the disney dooneys at below the MSRP you would pay at disneyworld

I'm going on a cruise this next week (not on DCL ). Because of spring break, the flights in and out of Miami were ridiculous, so we decided to fly into Jacksonville and drive down. We added a day on each side of the trip, and it worked out very well, and even with car, gas, etc., we're saving lots of money this way vs. flying into Miami.

I mention all of this because I'm seriously considering making us detour on the way back (after the cruise) so I can pop into DTD and/or DHS (I have an AP) and dig through the Dooneys for a wristlet with the placement I want. I figure y'all are the only people who might understand that, after jumping through hoops to save $$, I desperately want to add time to our trip just so I can spend $$ on a Disney Dooney!

I was thinking about picking up a couple of wristlets to tuck away and use as gifts with this deal. But I was really only interested in the Wonder and Balloon patterns since I'm OK buying those online, and it looks like neither are available.

I thought they were probably winding down the Wonder collection, but I'm curious about the balloon bags being out of stock. Did anyone notice when that collection started disappearing from the website? Looks like neither wristlets nor mini margot bags are available online any more. I wonder what's up with that?

I looked closely at the email I got with the code this morning and it says parks merchandise is NOT included but it did give me the discount despite that. I ordered a 40th annviersary bucket bag and am hoping for decent placement. At least shipping was free if I end up sending it back. Well, $4.95 since I am attempting to get the cosmetic bag. Are they still doing the cosmetic bag giveaway? Because although the site didn't seem to advertise it, it did take the code. After I entered the code I did see the bag featured (odd). My main question is, I paid with my Disney Visa. Shouldn't I have gotten an additional 10% off? Was I supposed to enter a Disney Visa code? Because the customer service rep at Chase told me there is no code, that if you spend $50 on disneyshopping.com the discount is automatically applied. I emailed customer service at disneyshopping.com to see what they say because I didn't feel like waiting on hold for ten minutes.

Well a CM named Greg emailed me back and said that he added up my order and I DID get the 10% Disney Visa discount. I knew he was wrong but I added it up again just to be sure and then I called and spoke to a CM named Portia who told me that the DV discount can only be combined with shipping codes. I'm still happy since I still saved money on the bag and shipping and hopefully am getting a cosmetic bag. Not to mention that according to the email, I wasn't supposed to be able to use the code on parks merchandise to begin with!

Thanks! My dad is going next weekend and my brother is going in May, maybe the Lucy will be in the parks. I think either would be able to look for MY perfect placement on the Lucy. The 40th I need to do myself...I'll be bummed if it's only a disneyshopping thing since the placement on the sketch pattern is so difficult.

That's correct you can't combine the 10% disney visa code with the 20% Gift code. However when you add the balloon cosmetic bag shipping goes from free to $4.95 which it shouldn't there's a glitch in their system but all you have to is email guest services and tell them you want the free shipping applied to your order and taken off your credit card amount. If you don't tell them that then they will email you a $5 gift card coupon code

It wouldn't take the GIFT code for me. I wasn't ordering a Dooney though. I was ordering the Sketch Mickey iPad case and a cell phone sleeve. They are both park merchandise. Wonder why it took it for you but not for me? Anyone else have a good code?
