A bit of everything, I'm pretty sure these will all be keepers

I do have a few other bags that aren't pictured, but I consider them here on approval as I'm not sure whether I'll actually keep them or not. I tend to over buy and then sell what I decide not to keep.

Very nice collection!! I LOVE the 55th wallet perfect placement of Mickey and Minnie. If you ever decide to sell I would buy it in a second. But, if I already had one it would stay a keeper.-hope that makes sense kids are out of school today

Do you use your black and white Harvey's tote? I have used mine a few times(I rotate) and it has a yellowish tint. It's not really noticeable until I set it next to a new bag. I never thought a seatbelt bag would turn color It was purchased at TrenD last March.

I think once I get back from WDW I will organize everything and take a good picture-while husband is at work of course. These are all keepers and will someday go to my daughter. I don't plan on buying anything but you never know.......

Hi, I have the black and white Harvey's tote also...bought it at TrenD last year too. I have not noticed any discoloration, but I will find something to compare it to. I was looking at Harvey's website yesterday. They seem to guarantee their bags; perhaps you should contact them and send them pictures of your bag next to something which makes the bag look yellowed.

I've been wanting a Harvey's bag for awhile, but many of the woven styles seem to be so heavy I was afraid once I loaded them with all my junk, I wouldn't want to actually carry them. The boat totes seem to be lighter, so more manageable. I missed out on the LTD colored one, so I was excited to see the black and white version at the Harvey's event Saturday. I just bought mine then, so no time for yellowing yet. I sure hope that doesn't happen though. I love the classic look of the black and white print.

From what I can tell Harvey's is good about standing behind their product, so might be worth a call or e-mail to customer service.

Finding both Mickey & Minnie in a good spot on the wallets is tough! It took me a couple of months of pretty serious shopping to find mine and Liza's, and then I ended up hitting the jackpot and getting them both on the same day, but from two different shops.

I actually have one more wallet that has both M&M on it because after I bought mine, I found one with M&M on the bottom portion, and I couldn't decide which I liked best, so of course I bought it too. I'll have to post pictures of it and see what everyone thinks.

I really need to buy something I like, and then just stop looking altogether. I never do though.

I love both of these wallets for different reasons:

Liza, I didn't see a single wristlet with both Mickey & Minnie on it for probably the first 6 months that the DL55 collection was out, but in the past few weeks I've seen several. I assume the ones out now are from a different production run than the first ones were. I have no idea whether we just got lucky with this new run, or if D&B got smart and started paying a bit more attention to placement. Either way, I like it... except that I lost $$ when I sold my old wristlet and replaced it with my new improved version. Oh well, worth it, at least IMO.

I don't know how well it would come out in a picture. I think I may just contact them and tell them about it and ask if they advise me to wash it with something like oxi clean first before talking guarantee.

I had to tell my fellow Disney Dooney lovers what I did yesterday....not only did I leave my purse at In N Out -- I left my Disneyland 55th messenger (with sketch wristlet inside!)

That was the longest 10 minutes of my life! Thank goodness an honest person turned my entire purse in with everything in it.

I was more worried about my purse being gone than my credit cards and $$ inside it!

On top of that, I just purchased mommy2allgirls 55th wallet to match my purse yesterday morning. That would not have been very fun to receive my matching wallet to the purse that I didn't have anymore.

I read this thread so much but haven't posted for a very long time, but I thought i'd come out of lurkdom as i'm counting down the days waiting for my new Dooney to arrive from Fed Ex....I am getting really impatient!

So, I'm new to the Dooney madness. I have 2, well technically 3. I have the small navy mickey face purse and a disneyland 55 messenger. Now, I also have a 40 messenger, but I bought it first, then learned of the 55, and held on to it until the 55 came in the mail so I could pick between the 2. I decided on the 55 because disneyland will always be held a little closer to my heart, even if it's the "world" I live next to now. Gonna ebay the 40 as soon as I get internet back, curse you brighthouse for taking a week to get a tech out!
So, using my droid (at least it has reliable internet) or else there would be pics.

My question for you lovely ladies is, since I ordered my 55 from online I didn't get to pick placement, and I didn't try to make any requests cause I would have been happy with a couple different scenarios/placements. Ofcourse NONE of those happened! My placement isn't BAD, but I'm not terribly happy with it.
Has anyone had any luck with something like that? Will writing an email or making a phone call to disney and/or dooney do any good? Or am I stuck?
Any help/advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, so I went ahead and emailed disneystore. Tried to be as specific and to the point as possible. The response? A copy of their return/exchange policy that is on their site. Not helpful at all!
Now I have a feeling if I call the number on their site I'm going to get some outsourced office.

How do you all store your bags

I have a few bags and would like to store them so they stay as nice as possible.

At the prices they charge for the Disney D&B collections, I'm surprised that they don't come with dust bags.

Since my handbag obsession extends well beyond these handbags, I already have quite a few extra dustbags around, so I use those.

I've used plain white pillowcases before though. That actually worked quite well because I could label the pillowcase so I didn't have to search through a bunch of dustbags to find the handbag I was looking for.

Or you could make your own. They're pretty easy to whip together. There are also folks who sell homemade ones if you don't mind paying for them.

As much as everyone here can relate, I'm thinking DS online probably isn't really set up to accomdate placement requests. Honestly, I don't know how much help you're going to get on this one.

Sheesh, I sometimes have a hard time convincing CM's in the parks that I want a bag that speaks to me, not whatever they happen to bring out from the back. And it's not that difficult for them.

Did you read what Nikki's mom went through to get her the perfect Lucy bag from DS online? I guess that's always an option, if you're willing to do it.

Good Luck, I hope I'm wrong on this one. I'd love for you to come back and post that you found a great CM who went out of their way to make sure you got a bag with great placement. Unforunately I think it's a long shot.

I kinda have been feeling like it's a lost cause, but you know when you spend so much on a bag you just want to LOVE it, ya know?
And ya, I really don't have enough money to buy a couple more and hope one has better placement, even though I'm get it back, I don't have it to front.
So oh well, unless someone out west feels like being my personal shopper, or someone want to trade the 40 that I have (or can exchange for a different placement preference for them) for a 55 I want. . . . Well. . . That's alll complicated.
So I guess I'm just kinda hoping that I grow to love it, kinda like an arranged marriage. Lol

It's actually one of the new Dream one's, the Satchel. It's a bit of a long story but I was on the Dream Maiden Voyage last month but due to the poor way they they managed the Dooney & Bourke release I was only able to get the crossbody bag despite being only number 48 in the queue to get in the store. Anyway several emails to & from DCL later they are shipping me one to the UK. I just hope it has good placement.

I emailed them last night about my Harvey's turning yellow and asked if it was guaranteed. Here is their response:

Thank you for your email and I am sorry to hear about this! The only thing I can think of would be that maybe due to normal day wear and tear of what you may do with your bag, it could fade. I would definitely suggest taking warm water, colorless detergent and a damp cloth to wipe down your bag. If this doesn’t restore its color to the color you originally had, I highly suggest sending it to our Bag Spa. I have attached the form for you to fill out and send in along with your bag. If this is something you would be interested in, please send the bag and the form our way! As soon as we receive the package, we can clean the bag on up and send it back out to you.

Please let me know if you may have any further questions.

So it looks like I should try washing it with the oxy cleaner first. I guess then in order to prove it is not wear and tear, since I just started using it about two weeks ago for the first time and saw the yellowing before then, I have to pay them $20 to use their bag spa. I wonder if then the guarantee would be in effect if they could not get the yellowing out of the bag?

I saw someone wearing a Dream Inaugural Cruise jacket at Disney the other day. Of course I couldn't resist going up and asking about it (DD was mortified )

They mentioned how badly DCL handled the special merchandise as well. But they raved about the ship and they seemed to have had a great cruise overall. I hope you did too.

On Saturday I used my wristlet for the first time and I dropped it face down in a puddle of water. I freaked out! Luckly it seems okay. The leather doesn't seem like it has changed color or anything yet.
