I just read this on another thread. Hope it isn't true.

"I was at EPCOT last week and questioned whether or not the largest bag would be available in the cloth version and was told no because the D&B contract will end. The new bags will be Vera bags....I cannot wait to see this...sometime next year the lady told me"

I really hope this is a case of the CM's not knowing what they are talking about again

OMGNo more Dooney's? I sure hope not. Vera Bradley bags are alright in certain patterns and cheaper but still..............Coach would be nice

I caved in and bought a Dooney Dream cruise bag from eBay and am bidding on a wristlet. We aren't going on a cruise until the fall but this way I will already have a bag and not keep thinking about it.

Going to WDW in March and am hoping to get a 40th anniversary messenger Wish they would have or had a release event like they did at Disneyland.

I saw the comment about Vera Bradley doing Disney bags a few months ago and someone who worked at VB came on and said that there was absolutely no truth to that statement. I don't know if that's correct, but that's what I heard.

My Lucy bags arrived!!! I ordered two so that I could choose but I'm still really torn. Neither of them have really awesome placement and the one I prefer over the other has a weird zipper...like it's hard to close.

The most important things to me are the castle, banner that says Walt Disney World and Mickey.

Here is the one I prefer front and then back. Not a really good Mickey but good castle and banner. I kind of like the balloon placement on the back.

Here's the other one. Good for Mickey but not for banner and castle.

Here they both are together...

I don't know. I'm so torn! Anyway, my mom is going to return the one of the left and order ANOTHER one so I can decide between those two!

I like the placement on the right better too, but I see what you mean about the bumps. Sounds like maybe it got smushed in shipping, I would play with the zipper a bit and see if it gets better or worse.

Yeah that would just be weird...I like the Dooneys.

I wasn't too sure about the 40th anniversary pattern at first, but now that I have seen more pics, I kind of like it, especially on the wristlet.

I'm REALLY hoping for a wallet in that pattern!

Hmm, interesting. I guess only time will tell.


As I've said before, I've had CM's tell me things that I knew were incorrect so many times, I always try to preface any "I heard this from a CM" insights with a disclaimer that it may or may not be true.

Let's stick with the VB rumor. I don't think that would be too much of a temptation for me... unless they made a backpack. I REALLY want a cute backpack style bag.

UGH!!! They show up 8 days after we leave the world. I am so sad! I would really, really, really like one!!! It would be nice if they would offer it in that bucket tote style. I love the looks of that one.

Not sure I would buy any VB bags, so I'm not sure if I hope it is true or not true. Can't imagine Coach bags, as much as I love them, they don't normally do any prints like this.

Is anyone else hoping for another new style or do you think the anniversary print is the style the castmember at Tren-D told me was coming in March?

Here's an interesting tidbit for you... I actually have 2 balloon Margot bags. They both have heart dangles, but the hearts are different sizes.

I can post pictures if anyone is interested.

Did they come with the medallions? I ordered a balloon Margot and it didn't come with one. DS is saying they don't have any more replacement medallions to send out and Dooney's telling me they aren't supposed to come with them. I'm SO frustrated with DS and Dooney right now over the whole medallion issue.

Thanks Zanna for the link to the pics. Can't stop drooling! I don't know which I would prefer, the bucket or the Kristen. I have a non Disney Dooney in the bucket style and it's a nice size for what I carry daily. I know the Kristen is quite big but it seems you get so much more space and print for just $20 more that it seems like the best value. I have a Cindy sketch tote. I wish I could see a side by side comparison of the Cindy tote and the Kristen tote to get an idea of how much bigger the Kristen is.

I have the money saved and was all prepared to buy a new bag when we were there Jan 15-22. Why did they have to wait until now???

I may have to get on the phone with the Disney Shopping people!
