From a TR thread on the cruise forum....

WOW, the Dooney & Burke fiasco was mind blowing. People literally spent three or four hours of this very costly cruise standing in line for purses that will be available all year. I took a picture, I'm sure I'll offend some that might read this but I thought it was really awful...and I talked to a poor CM officer that looked frazzled, he told me that several guests in the line threatened his job and said they were going to the highest management they could get to in order to cost him his job. Over. A. Purse.

One of our table mates heard a woman talking about how she was putting them on ebay (they were limited to two per style per person, which is way too many). The woman in front of our table mate (who she did not know) had the nerve to ask her if she could take care of her "purse list" while she went to dinner, because she didn't want to be late for 6 PM dinner. Are you kidding? Our table mate did too. She got disgusted by the whole thing and left the line. I will definitely end up with one, but it will NOT be by standing in line during this precious cruise.

I saw that last night (the post about the Dooneys on the Dream). I think that would be enough to deter me from getting one, LOL. Hopefully they will still have them all year and the hype will have died down by the time I get on the ship

I just found this thread!!

My DH has told me that he wants to get me a D & B purse when we are at WDW in October....well, if he is forcing me . He really wanted to get one last trip, but just didn't have the funds left. I am excited to hear that a new 40th is coming out.

Disney Dream Inaugural Bags

I do not really need the inaugural one, but I love the pattern!

For a moment I had DH ready to get the WDW 40th for Valentine's rather than my b-day. Might have to convince him to get one of these instead since he refuses to go on another Bahamas cruise.

so the Anniversary Messengers..... how much bigger are they than the other crossbody?? I have one of the first sketches and a tonal letter but 'NEED' the 40th messenger, but do they make a bigger one?? I need one bigger than a dinner plate LOL

I also think I need to buy it now instead of hoping they have them in Sept, when we go......

The messenger is a lot bigger than the crossbody style

I do not own both, but I believe this was discussed on the 2nd thread. I know it is a bit bigger, with the dooney checkbook wallet fitting inside the messenger, but not the crossbody.

My tonal crossbody holds a small wallet, phone, and small camera as well as a chapstick and keys, but that is the max.

So sorry, I was posting on the other thread. (#2). I absoultely love the Disney Dream bag, but it will probably be rediculous on Ebay. Here's hoping that on the Fantasy they will do something similar with the date on the bag since that is the cruise I'm taking. Mu husband wanted a longer cruise, so we are saving up for that one. I also hope they don't change the pattern, because I love this one...

I am so excited about the 40th anniversary bags. Now I know what I bringing home with me in May! I can't wait to see what styles they do. I really want a messenger bag. Now I just have to wait 91 more days!

This is my first post in this thread. I really want to buy the Wonder tote and wristlet while at Disney in 2 weeks. My friend is there now and hasn't seen that pattern anywhere. Do you know if it is still available and where? I could buy online but a big part of the excitment is to finally get my bag while at Disney World.
