I just left the jewelry store on mainstreet. They had colored letter carriers in green and yellow. Wristlets were available in every color but purple. They had all the older designs and a table of harveys. No princess designs. Have a great Sunday everyone.

She'll likely ask you what your looking for then attempt to find it for you, this is why I think it must be someone that either works at DL or lives really close. When I bought the tote she had 9 listed, but when I emailed for placement she said she had just sold her last one so she would have to go look for the perfect placement for me.:confused3 I think she lists them and then purchases the bags after they've sold. I could be wrong but that's the impression I got. Makes sense I guess if she's sure she can get the bags then she doesn't wind up with a ton of inventory.

but then, what happens if there is no inventory at the parks as seems to be the case right now. wouldn't the listing have to state that it is a presell? her feedback looks very good but i would hope she was not selling bags she didn't have. just wondering...

Technically that's true, and I don't know if she has the bags on hand or not. The main reasons that I believe that she may not actually have the bags on hand is the first case with the DL tote. She had 9 listed but when I asked if she had a specific placement she stated that she had just sold out and would have to go to the park to look for me, which she did and I was very pleased:lovestruc. Secondly when the purple LC suddenly began to disappear recently she had 10 listed, again I contacted her looking to find out whether or not she had specific placement and she wrote me back and stated that she had just sold out. This all happened within 5 minutes. The bags were listed 10 of them then within 5 minutes the listing had ended and she stated that she just sold out. I know for a fact that she did not sell all 10 within that 5 minutes:rotfl:. Anyway, in my opinion she's a great seller and a very fast shipper and I assume must have a contact of some sort at DL. She has a ton of stuff listed on ebay and she has good feedback so I doubt that she is just going to disappear with your money. Worst case scenario is that she won't be able to fill and order and you would get a refund.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've been out of town and offline for the past few days.

I picked the bag up at the World of Disney store, Downtown Disney, Disneyland. I would guess they're available at WDW too, but I don't know for sure.

As per my receipt it's called MM10 Big Face Messenger and it was $26.95

The CM said they had just put the bags out on the floor the day I bought mine, and I think it sometimes takes awhile for park merchandise to become available through mail order or online. But if it's not available quite yet, I bet it will be.

Looks like the eBay seller that had all the purple lc listed pulled them again, the auction has been cancelled. I think this pretty much proves that she does not have the bags on hand. I assume she just purchases them once they have sold and then ships them off.

Hi all. I have the black Dooney with the brightly colored Mickeys and the tassels. I'm afraid I don't know the "name" of the purse I have. Anyway, I bought it in December while visiting WDW. I saw it the first night of my trip and just loved it, but thought no way would I EVER spend 200 bucks on a purse! Well, everywhere that I saw that bag I had to stop and look at it...touch it. My teenage son said...mom, just get it. You know you'll regret it if you get home and didn't get it. Well, what can I say?? The boy knows what he's talking about, so I bought it! And I love, love, love it. I get so many comments and complements on it. BUT, shortly after I got it, the stitching on one of the tassles came loose and fell off. A co worker, and owner of many Dooney bags was saying one day how a bad she's had for about 10 years, ripped. She said she contacted Dooney and that they were going to send her a new bag. I don't remember if she had to pay...I would assume she had to pay something since the other bag was so old. Anyway...I just want to know if anyone here has had any trouble with their Dooney bags and have contacted Dooney for repair. I emailed them and they just got back to me that I can send in the bag and they will evaluate it. If it is deemed defective, they will fix it and reimburse me for shipping. And that they will contact me with my "options" for repairing the bag. Anyone have any experience dealing with Dooney on repair or replacement?? Disney Dooney or any Dooney??

I have the same bag you do and the yellow thread on one of my tassels began to unravel as well. Fortunately I caught it soon enough to "glue" it using clear nail polish which stopped it from coming completely undone. That is great if Dooney is willing to work with you on repairing or replacing the bag. A few others have said Dooney referred them to Disney for their Disney Dooney problems.

We are leaving this weekend for a trip to WDW and DCL. My DW really wants a D&B bag and wallet.

Can you get a 10% discount on the bags using Disney Visa? Does it have to be at DTD or can it be elsewhere onsite. I was reading through the Disney Visa discount page and the disclaimer didn't specifically exclude these bags and it appeared that you could get the discount throughout WDW.

Hi! I have the same bag you have. Not the same problem, but I will share a similar experience. I bought my bag in February. As soon as I got home, I noticed a tiny fleck of black came off the bag. My concern was that it would continue to fleck away so I called Disney. I had to be issued a return authorization and was also told they would evaluate it to determine if it was defective. The CM was not friendly or overly helpful. When I asked about being reimbursed for shipping, I was given a flat out "no", even if they did replace the bag. I decided against sending it back. DD15 said no one would notice it and DH didn't think it would continue to fleck (and it has NOT!). It's been said before, different CMs will tell you different things.

I know folks have reported that the 10% discount for using a Disney Visa is valid on Dooney purchases.

But as with many things Disney, the problem seems to be consistency across the board. I know I've read differing reports in this thread. One person reported being able to stack discounts, while someone else said they were eligible for multiple discounts, but had to choose just one. Same thing seems to happen as far as location. One person reported being able to get a discount at the same place someone else reported being denied. :confused3

Some of the above discrepancy might be the dates people are reporting about, and that's not always clear. But I don't really think CM's are always consistent either.

If your DW finds the perfect bag and the CM says no discount, I think I'd ask for a 2nd opionon, and escalate to a manager if necessary.

BTW, I know there are also AP discounts at Disneyland, I assume the same is true at WDW. Not sure if that applies to you or not though.
