just wondering, any updates on the availablity of the purple dooney sketch letter carrier???? are they showing up in the parks or are the phasing this color out?? what about the purple wristlet? it's such a popular color, i can't imagine why they would stop making it. just curious for those of you on property.

also, any word about a colored sketch tote or other items?????? to those who are there and chatting with cm's , we need info!!! inquiring minds want to know!

YUP! That was me, the first one to break news on the disney dooneys! still so happy i was able to share the news with such a terrific group of ladies here! My next trip to WDW is 25 days away and i cant wait to report on all the bags i see and wouldnt it be terrific if there was a new release?!

I want to get a look at the Princess themed ones in person. I was planning on a Wonder tassle tote but now I'm not sure...but I do know I want a black background as I already have the sketch tassle tote.

I was wanting a matching wristlet for my tote, but I'm wondering if they are too big to use as a wallet? Do they fit inside the tote OK? What do you guys use the wristlet for? Thanks!

Is there a good resource for what the sizes of these bags are--it's hard to tell when no one is holding them. Also wondering if there are any tips on how to save money. Which stores at WDW are they at? What are possible discounts. I read about AAA for those that bookes vacations through them, and random coupons handed out during certain times at the parks. I'm wondering if there are DVC discounts? Any other tips for selecting my bag and getting a good price? Help the newbie!

Hi, welcome to the disney dooney addiction Page two post #23 has the the list of stores where you can find them. Disers also have a page on facebook: disney dooney and bourke's where most of us have posted pics of the bags. Disneystore.com has many of them listed with size dimensions. One discount available is the disney credit card= 10% off.

I was at DLR yesterday. Finally got my DL55 LC at Vault 28! They were they only store that had the LC, only 4 of them in the morning, by 2:00pm there was only 1. When I walked by on my way out around 8:00pm, they had 6 hanging. I think they got a delivery. (or they hadn't opened the box when I asked earlier if they had any in the back!) I checked them over, and I had already bought the one with the best placement IMO. (Glad I didn't have to go back to my car and exchange the purse!)
They had the Princess bags there. When I was checking out, the CM asked me what I thought of them. I told him I really didn't care for the pattern, although I liked the styles. He said a lot of people don't like them, and that they are not selling. V28 was the only place selling the Princess collection as of yesterday. They seem to always get the first deliveries. They had all the styles.
They only had yellow and green LCs, maybe 1 pink, and all colors of the wristlets but blue, but only 1 purple.

The specialty shop in the Hollywood section in DCA had all the color LCs, including a couple purple. I asked the CM what the popular color was and she said overwhelmingly purple. Then blue, pink, green/yellow. She hadn't sold any yellow.

So, I personally think when they expand this collection to some of the bigger bags, purple will definitely be one of the colors!!!

I'm leaving for WDW in less than 24 hrs!!! I'm planning to get the blue LC while I'm there. (Have the purple and pink.) I have the green wristlet and I love the color. But it isn't very practical for me, so I didn't get the LC. I may need to get a yellow wristlet so I will have something in all the colors!!! Afterall, I am getting these with a 20% discount. (And FL tax is a few % less than CA!)

well i am so sorry for the sadness that comes with a move like that, but i also want to say congrats on having such a thoughtful hubby who clearly loves you very much! that was a very sweet thing for him to do and i'll bet you will love carrying your dooney knowing it was purchased for you with such devotion!! enjoy your surprise dooney. surprises like this are the best

Thank you for your kind words, it was and continues to be hard on our family where my grandmother is concerned. And yes, my hubby is wonderful and I will cherish my Dooney. I've never had anything like it and I can't wait to grab it up and walk out to my car.

World of Disney had all of the older bags (Wonder, white sketch, brown tonal, and the blue and pink fabric bags). They did not have any colored Sketch letter carriers. They had the wristlets in blue, yellow, green, and a few pink. They did not have purple. Trend D had the same stock with the addition of all of the Pink Princess bags. I only saw the black Princess wristlet. Hoping to head out to the parks this afternoon and may have more updates.

REALLY surprised to hear about the letter carriers in colored sketch not being very available. i guess im glad i bought from disneyshopping.com as my trip is coming up soon! sounds like im probably buying the large sketch tote on my trip since it looks doubtful there will be anything new released before sept. 21! i hope you are able to post more updates from your day in the park today! have a magical time!!!!

I just left the jewelry store on mainstreet. They had colored letter carriers in green and yellow. Wristlets were available in every color but purple. They had all the older designs and a table of harveys. No princess designs. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Oh this is not good, I so had my heart set on a purple wristlet in 11 days! Would be perfect for our dinners at WDW!
