Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Just back from Disney World on Saturday the 14th. I could not find any of the purple sketch bags anywhere. in the MK, TrendD or World of Disney. Lots of blue and yellow. Plenty of wristlets although again only a few purple. No princess patterns yet. White sketches were everywhere as were the black. They stopped dong the 20% off coupons on the 9th it seems. We went to a CS place the afternoon of the 9th and it still had the coupon on the bottom that said you must redeem this coupon by 12:00 noon on the 9th. By the time they gave me the coupon it was already expired. So I ended up getting the white sketch tote with the most perfect placement, DH actually found it.

My husband left for Afghanistan this morning and should be back by the end of February or first week of March. Kids are upset This is his first time being gone for so long and my son is really taking it hard.

On Topic: Disney Dooney and Bourke needs to come out with the pattern that is on the colored sketch in different style bags with all of the colors.

Cell phone cases and umbrellas would be nice-any other ideas for products? A backpack? A keychain? More smaller accessories-small coin purse, lipstick holder, purse size agenda. They could make a fortune because a lot people like to coordinate their accessories.

Hang in there, it's hard on the kids. My dh travels a lot and my kids are usually okay with it for the first couple of days then start asking when's daddy coming back and he's normally only gone for a week at the most. I can't imagine having him gone for several months. My cousin is getting married 9/5 then he's off to Iraq for 1 year. They don't have any kids yet but I think my aunt is on the verge of a breakdown over it.

Back to Dooneys: I finally sold several items I had been debating on keeping and I ordered myself the DL 55th tote that I had been lusting after. I absolutely love it!! However, I do wish that the DL 55th print came in the style of the medium sketch tote. I absolutely love the bag but it would be 10 times better if the handles were just a bit longer (I too will be keeping the tags on until I'm certain I want to keep it).

I could not imagine getting married and then going off to Iraq right after. That is got to be hard on them.

I love the Dooney DL 55th tote but wish it had longer handles.

Hi, question for those of you that have the disneyland 55th anniversary tote.

How comfortable is the tote on your shoulders? Seems like the handles are quite short. My sister is debating between this tote and the messenger bag.

i have yet to use my dlr55 tote due to the handles being so short. sometimes, i just stare at it! lol! but, my dlr messenger, ive used every day since i received it! its perfect and so useful!

those handles!! grrrr i wish they were longer too! i havent taken the tags off my tote or even thought about carrying it due to that fact. i love my wonder tote coz the handles are the perfect legnth and that bag is just so comfy on the shoulder!

I know I really LOVE the bag, BUT am I going to use it?? I'm going to try it on again and see if I think I'll be able to use it comfortably, if not I think I may sell it and move on hoping that they'll come out with a great print in something more like the medium sketch tote or the princess bucket bag (don't like the print but the style is definately me). I sold my purple letter carrier and my DL 55th LC in order to get the DL tote and I REALLY regret it! I was able to get another DL LC thanks to catsmom but there are very few purple LC on ebay and the there isn't a single one with a pattern that is calling me, I hope they keep selling them for awhile, DH and I are hoping to sneek in a short no kids trip sometime in the next few months so maybe I'll get the chance to pick one out myself.

In light of this public service announcement... maybe we should open a Facebook page that way we can trade and sell from there. I know there is a Vera Bradley Facebook page that does just that. Not sure how many people would be interested, but I would be willing to create the page... what do you think ladies?

Poohbear158: That sounds like a great idea! Most of disney dooney addicts here buy our bags and then change our minds. This would let us trade among ourselves. As well as post when we saw a great sale going on.

Aww, your awesome! My Dh is like why on earth do you need more than one bag just because it has a different pattern/color?? My response same reason you need all those guns ( he's a gun collector and hunter) and even though I see no difference they each have a different purpose to him.

yes the wonder is a bit smaller than the large sketch. in my opinion, the wonder tote is the most perfect size bag of any of the disney dooneys.
