Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

...I must have seen you janell, we got there at 9:30. And I was the one walking up and down the line telling people not to buy it all. ahhaha I was the one wearing gold 50th ears. I must agree, it felt almost overwhelming, like you don't want to rush, but you know people are waiting. But wow oh wow, amazing. Yes cast members were great!!! Pretty sure they all know me by name now, haha, I kept trying to convince them to give me their 55th anni buttons, but still , no one has!

I did get pics!! I just can't figure out how too upload them on my phone. If I don't figure it out, just watch for them next week. So glad its done with though, kinda a long time to wait...but you gotta do what you gotta do!!

Oh I don't remember someone with golden ears on. Darn. I do remember a women waring the 50th white t-shirt with blue writting on it. It brought back memories. Were you there on July 17, 2005? In line I was chatting with others about the pin relase for that day and how we stood in line for 4-5 hours for a pin that said you were there on that day. Oh the things we do for Disney stuff.

I too wanted one of the CM buttons, but I know they can't give them out. Or at least they aren't suppose too. Some Im sure have. I think they can do what ever with them after the day is over.

I thought the manger did a great job. People get really push at these things. I didn't see anyone being pushy or rude which was nice. Other then reading here about the couple upset about the cometic bag pattern. I can see being disappointed, but if you want something that bad, get up early and stand in the heat. We did! It wasn't fun, but we did it because we wanted it. At one point I almost said this heat is to hot and forget the gwp. Even got a sun burn because I didn't realize how much I was sweating and my sunblock was fading away. lol It happens, not blaming disney for that. Im glad I waited the cosmetic is really cute and fits great in the messenger bag.

I did think it was nice of Dooney or Disney or both to give out cosmetic in a Dooney pattern as gwp. Because they didn't have too. Once the Ann cosmetics were gone, they could have just left it at that.

I swear I'm always a day late and a dollar short... I didn't know they had new ones out. I'm interested in a wristlet, mail carrier and/or cosmetic case if anyone has any extras. Thanks

I went back last night at 11 after we left the park, and the cancelled the fireworks like usual...boooo... to see what was left and get a few letter carriers since a few more people had requested those last night. Boy was the closing staff sure totally different than the awesome opening staff...it was like they were so annoyed to be there, and then one girl was talking out loud about how she still needed to do $3000 to make her goal, and I'm thinking, well the store is full...why don't you get to work??? It was strange.

I would think these bags would be available all this year, and then maybe they'll change them to generic retro that isn't 55th anniversary styles. Disneyland usually doesn't like to sell anything after that actual anniversary year. So id guess that they might stop in a year...who knows...and cast memebers would only say...they will be sold the days after the event. That is as much info as they'd give. Guess only time will tell.

And makeup bags are going for WHAT on ebay???geez, maybe I should sell mine!!! That is insane!!!

I got the letter carrier and wristlet for me!! so excited, but I secretly want the tote too. I just don't thin I can justify 3 of them right now, with the fact that they are so muchmore than the others.

Oh hey ladies who were there...was it just me, or does it seem like all the totes had greeaattt placement, and seemed to more consistant on placement. Like every tote I looked at, I was like okay love it. Where as with the others I really looked through to get the most perfect ones I could.

Okay prob won't be back on the boards till tonight, I think my hubby is going to kill me, if I spend all day on the disboards for one more day of our vacation. Hahahaha. Its just so addicting!!!

Well, I think the prices posted earlier were just asking prices. I didn't do an in depth search, but I didn't see any cosmetic bags that have actually sold yet. Looks like there are a couple listed at $99 with no takers, so I really hope the e-bay folks don't make as much as they thought they would.

I just got the letter carrier, and I looked through plenty to find one I liked; but I did notice that the larger bags in the window all had very nice pattern placement. That's great if they tried to make sure all of them did.

Well, I finally caved! I just returned super late last night and have two pics of my new Dooney! I got it completely free thanks to my Disney Visa points.

I absolutely love the placement on it. I really think it's perfect with Mickey & Minnie dead center. Great find and can't beat the price!

Loving some of the placements on the wristlet and know I can afford it now, but really thinking about the messenger but would have to wait a bit... Oh, too many decisions!

Was able to see the new colors (well a few) of the new Dooneys at WDW. The cell phone pocket in them holds the droids and iPhones perfectly. Of course, dont know about the 55th anniversary ones since not on the left coast.

Yep the iPhone 3GS with Mophie fits in the cell phone pocket. I was so happy when I saw that. My Dooney from 3 years ago cell pocket doesn't hold the iPhone. Glad they updated it

I think it can. Although I didn't play with the tote much. The material under the handles seem to be able to fold over a bit so I'm guessing it should fit over your shoulder.

It was a great trip and a bit of an accomplishment since I took the kids solo. IT was a true blast... sweaty, but great.

Might trade a resort upgrade for a Dooney, though!
