Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Im so confused! can someone please fill me in?!??!?!

what are you confused about? lets see here ... ill try to bring you up to speed.
-Walt Disney World released sketch prints but in COLORS (Blue, Purple, Pink, Green and yellow) they come in a letter carrier and wristlet only right now
-Disneyland released new bags for the 55th anniversary of the park yesterday there are 5 styles (letter carrier, large wristlet, Messenger, medium tote, and wallet)

I currently have the sketch tassel tote which is my everyday purse, the sketch wristlet which I use as a wallet, the purple sketch letter carrier, and finally if everyrhing works out i will have the Disneyland letter carrier. Here's the thing now I'm thinking that I really need a tote size bag. I figure since I will have the Disneyland letter carrier which I absolutely love I really don't need the purple letter carrier. I could list the purple letter carrier on eBay (it is brand new and still has the tags) and then use the money I get from that towards either a Disneyland tote or hold out and see if they come out with a disneyworld exclusive design. Decisions decisions. Do you think they'll come out with WDW exclusive design?

LOL we are kind of thinking along the same lines. i just got the pink letter carrier and hawky7 got me the disneyland 55th tote. i already have the sketch cindy and the black wonder tote. im thinking ... that disneyland messenger is AWESOME .. should i sell my pink letter carrier and use the funds to get a 55th messenger? but what if walt disney world comes out with a new print? im going there in 2 months and would like the feeling of actually buying a bag there (does that make sense? lol) so .. im also torn about what to do.

LOL, yes it seems we are on the exact same page. The new colored bags came out 2 days after we left WDW, I cannot even begin to tell you how bummed I was. I purchased my tassel tote and wristlet from Disney shopping (I have to admit I got perfect placement on both) and wound up buying my purple letter carrier on eBay. I would love the excitement of looking for the perfect pattern placement myself

Can the new 55th tote be worn over the shoulder?

Really wish I could have been at the event yesterday. =)

There is an auction on ebay now (yes I'm still drooling over these bags on ebay) that shows that it can in fact be worn over the shoulder, however, the straps aren't very long so don't know how comfy it would be. Check it out.

They have the disney dooneys like the sketch pattern, wonder pattern, brown tonal patter, and the new colored sketch patterns at DTD in the world of disney, mousegears at epcot, hotel gift shops (contemporary, poly, and GF for sure. Don't know about the rest but I'm sure they have them), in the emporium on Mainstreet and mainstreet jewelers (don't know if that's what it's called, LOL, but it the shop with jewelry, pins, and watches). I don't remember seeing them at AK or DHS but they're likely there as well. The Disneyland pattern can only be purchased at Disneyland.

It was a great trip and a bit of an accomplishment since I took the kids solo. IT was a true blast... sweaty, but great.

Might trade a resort upgrade for a Dooney, though!

That is so cool you did it on your own. What a great memor for all of you. Glad it was such a great trip minus the sweat lol.

I'm so with you on giving up a resort upgrade for a Dooney. I have read a lot of TR where the kids could careless that they are at a pricier resort. As long as they have a cool pool the kids are happy. Plus WDW has some great hotels at great prices. I so with DLR had a resort like Pop.

Look I'm back. Hahah. Spent all day at the beach and now driving back to the hotel. I'm not thinking that the tote is meant to fit over the shoulder, I think it would feel forced and not stay up. I will play with one in the am and let you know for sure though...

See I'm opposite, I thought looking for placement was totally stressful. Could have been the 50 people behind me in line that I knew were waiting though...haha.

Yep, I think they're very popular too.

I stopped at Vault 28 last night and they said they sold out of every single letter carrier in their initial shipment, both the Disneyland pattern and the colored sketch. I have no idea how many they got in, but yesterday they were telling people not to worry because they had plenty of everything. Hmmm

I exchanged the colored sketch letter carrier I bought for DD, and someone else was buying it before I ever left the store.

I did ask a couple of Vault 28 CM's when they expected to get more. One said she had no idea, the other said probably this week, maybe even today.

But now that the official launch weekend is over, I assume they'll have them at other locations around Disneyland too.

We stayed at POP in June and LOVED it! We had a renovated room and I am now over my "fear " of the values.

We are going again in Dec. and have Pop booked, but DH is the scared one now and lobbying for renting points for BLT to have the monorail.

A pop version at DL would be sweet! The hotels there are outrageous. We are doing the MR cruise from LA and are thinking of a few DL days, but might end up OP to save some $$$. And to buy a Dooney!

wow, i really am surprised the letter carriers sold out SO fast ... but they are so convenient! i love a good tote but a crossbody bag is something so nice to have! especially if you plan to carry it at the parks!

That and it is the "affordable" full purse option... Seems like they are the most listed on ebay too.
