I would email Dooney...that is what I plan to do when it's time to clean. It also helps know what is okay to use and what is not.

Here is the latest reply to my latest e-mail to Disney about the missing medallions:

In my e-mail, I mentioned that everyone was getting different answers and that either Disney or Dooney is cutting back on their quality of these bags And with the extremely high prices of their bags, especially in this tough economy, now is not the time to be compromising the quality, uniqueness and attention to details of these bags So as you can see, she totally danced around my concerns
So I will give them 24 to 48 hours and then will contact them again as I am sure I will not be getting any satisfaction in that time frame I have not received any reply to my e-mail to Dooney so I might have to try them again

Wow...looked at it too. It's cute...but no way it is worth anywhere near 600 bucks. Especially considering how I feel like they are getting skimpy on the quality of these bags...no way.

I agree with y ou on the quality issue. They are fabulous, don't get me wrong.. i'm not here to criticize. Just an observation that the fabric doesn't seem like it would 'hold up' for me because i'm a heavy user of my purses.

Has anyone actually received a wristlet in the new balloon pattern that DOES have the heart medallion? I ask because it is not pictured on the website as having one. Now that I see there's an "investigation" LOL I think I'll call tomorrow and see what happens. I was disappointed to see that it didn't have the medallion - I like the texture of the fabric but overall it didn't seem quite as nice as my Sketch wristlet.

I have no idea how the medallion drama will ultimately end... but it's my guess that folks who bought wristlets might just be tough out of luck. Unlike some of the larger bags, the medallion was never pictured on the wristlet or mentioned in the description.

Of course you can still call and express your disappointment that your wristlet does not have a medallion, but you can't really say that you were expecting one based on the picture or item description.

Hi Guys, I wanted to update about my wrong purse. I called again and was told that they couldn't guarantee what my purse would look like. I said I knew that but would be happy if Mickey and Minnie were on it somewhere. I decided to call again and talk to a supervisor. I explained that I knew theat I couldn't pick which purse I wanted but would like one with Mickey and Minnie on it and that I was trying not to be annoying about this but why it was so important to me to have Mickey and Minnie on it. My husband, the true love of my life, my Mickey bought it for me after saving for a long time to be able to do so. She was very nice though she said she can't imagine that it wasn't the one I picked out. I told her I was sure it was unintentional, that maybe ine was damaged, maybe mine was taken by another guest by mistake or like a PP said maybe they gave me a new one, that I wasn't angry justwanted one with M&M on it. SO, she agreed to issue me a return postage label and I shoudl have it tomorrow. She said she would make a note for M&M to be on it but no guarantee because of the style but seemed like a pretty easy enough request. She said I won't have it in time for Christmas, but that is fine with me, I'd rather have what I want then settle. So, I shoudl be able to send it back tomorrow or at the latest Wednesday.

Sounds like an outstanding plan. I was losing hope as Disney really hasn't handled this well at all. I sure hope Dooney comes through. Otherwise, my two handbags may go back.

The missing medallion issue has been ongoing since the release of the balloon line All other lines of Disney bags have either the Dooney duck or the Dooney heart But the balloon line has neither If you read some of the back pages you will see that several of us have been contacting Disney and have all been given different answers Some people have contacted Dooney so we are waiting to see how they will handle the situation But there are a lot of disappointed, unhappy people who, in this tough economy, have spent good money on expensive bags that appear not to live up to the usual Dooney and Bourke standards
