Don't want to mess up FP+ ressies

I want to add my parents to our OKW stay in December in our 2 BDR. They will not enter the parks or do any dining...they are simply there for resort and other "out of park" fun (for a serious Disney fan, "out of park" makes me think of "out of body"...lol...a surreal experience for sure not to go to a park). My question is this....when I sent the email to invite my wife to share on MDE, it messed up a bunch of stuff that she had all ready planned...not the ressies themselves, but my name came off the room and dining reservations. I am nervous that adding other names to reservation will some how mess up all the work she has put in to ADR's and FP+ stuff....anyone have anything go wrong when adding names to a resort reservation? I guess I'm just not sure how closely all these different things interact with each other in the big computer brains.
 
There is a system glitch that rearranges names when changes are made. As spiceycat said, call Member Services to correct the names after you make any changes.

I feel your pain. Spent a good three hours online and on the phone today trying to set things up and I'm still not halfway there.

MDE has to be the worst website I've ever seen. It has to be the prototypical example of Disney IT!

Finally had to call MS. Do you have any idea how annoying Disney music is on speaker-phone during a 23 minute wait??? :scared1:
 

My wait this afternoon was 35 minutes before they answered the call. It took another 65 minutes to straighten out some MDE issues...UGH and we're not finished.
 
Another two hours plus today. So after about six hours on the phone, we finally have all of our party on the reservation, and have ordered Magic Bands for all. Got one ticket which had disappeared re-linked to the reservation. Made two days FP+ reservations, but unable to reliably confirm any of them (or the MBs, for that matter) or see them. The help desk says they're there...:confused3

My cell ran out of battery halfway through the FP+ adventure with the tech support person (who was wonderful). She told me they are having huge issues with the linking part of the website, and have had some people cancel reservations because of the difficulties. I feel bad for the help desk folks -- I know they're getting beaten up by irate customers.

I think they are having more difficulties with regular resort reservations than DVC. For me the MS part was easy -- typical perfect MS call, except for the long wait.

This appears to be one of those projects that will eventually be helpful, but right now our overall experience has been a nightmare. I've never had to work this hard to spend money with any company.
