Sunken Treasure: The unofficial beverage of the Beach and Yacht Club FAQ forum:

http://wdw.smugmug.com/Other/Spring-Break-WDW/22082393_4HQSp9#!i=1762388825&k=JThrpBS&lb=1&s=A

Contents: Malibu Rum, Midori, orange juice, pineapple juice and Sprite with a splash of BOLS Blue Curacao.

Thanks, pixarmom, Feckless, WDW4us2006 and Ninja Mom for the photos!

Please note that the Sunken Treasure is no longer on the menu at Hurricane Hanna's, however if you get a bartender who knows how to make the drink, you may still be in luck!

Thanks to medicgirl177, who experiemented at great personal risk to decipher the secret formula:

Sunken Treasure- recipe by medicgirl177
1 1/2 shots Midori
1 shot Malibu Coconut Rum
1 shot orange juice
1 shot pineapple juice
Sprite or 7-Up to fizzy taste
1 shot Blue Curaçao
Over ice
Dress with Pineapple slice, cherry, or umbrella

Having a party next week for my DS for his 18th and graduation and now also his Eagle Scout. I think I deserve a sunken treasure now. I just can't wait till 8/31.

Cart mom, congratulations to your son ( and you) for all those terrific milestones! I would say you definately deserve a sunken treasure!

On Monday night, dd (8) decided to try some gymnastics in the form of vaulting from the sofa to the floor and ended up breaking her left arm :worried: They needed to do surgery to put pins in. They told me that they can take the pins out in about 3 weeks and then give her a waterproof cast at that point--fingers crossed! I am so hoping for that because then she can enjoy SAB, etc. Any tips on touring WDW in a cast? Thanks in advance!

Ouch. That stinks. I hope she gets through that ok
We have 1 minor medical issue I worry about when we leave Friday: our DD(6) bumped a tooth in the spring either sledding or skiing (not sure). It was noticed by the dentist who advised us to keep an eye on it
Little chips have started to come off. She saw the dentist Tuesday who did not think it needed yanking yet. Baby tooth

If it gives her trouble while we are in the world we will need to find a dentist in the area

Don't quote me on this but I've heard that Buzzy the fly does a little dentistry on the side. His prices are really cheap and if his work doesn't hold up DD can always get some of those new fangled implants from some other dentist.

Also, That kid's discount store called "5 Below" sells those fake, red neck, 'buck' teeth that she can wear. They can be kind of uncomfortable so she might only want to wear them for pictures.

Just sayin....

Oh, the poor kid!! Hope she will be feeling better soon!!:thumbsup2

what other shows does FP+ let you get FPs for? I'm doing the testing for our trip in 2 weeks but I don't have tickets to link so I can't even play around online and see what I can do; I have to wait 'til I get there and get my ticket.
So for Fantasmic, you don't need to get in line an hour early if you have the FP, you can just stroll in right as the show is starting?

There are shows like Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, Car stunts Show(sorry don't know the title), etc. I don't know if you can stroll in as the show is starting. My FastPass+ has a time that we have to show up by. But at least we don't have to wait in a long line. We will see how it works.

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind thoughts. Feeling better about things today, Parkinson's has been ruled out and I have been given new medication. The tremors I have are not affecting my quality of life enough to warrant any surgery, yet. We will keep an eye on things and re-evaluate things in 2 months.

Jim and I are going on a trip the end of September to relax at my happy place. I need to avoid stress as much as possible as that tends to make the tremors much worse. Good thing Jim shares my love of Disney!!

Anyway, we will be at the Wilderness Lodge in just 58 more days and I just got an email saying my dessert party is booked!!

Uuuggghhh , sitting on the dreaded ....... BC, Yacht club, Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon bus ......... All one big LONG loop .
SOMEBODY HELP ME !!!!!!!

This is perhaps the only minus to the BC / YC resorts ! Forgot about this bus !!!!!!

Help ...........
Syndrome ( lost somewhere in WDW)

Ouch! I don't know anything about WDW in casts, but I do know that the older sibling of a student of mine was given a waterproof cast on her arm this winter because her family was going on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to swim with dolphins. She got to do her swimming! Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure she was 8 too! :)

I'm glad the visit went well!

OH NO! I work in a peds ortho clinic and waterproof casts are lifesavers for summer months. She should be find swimming around in it at SAB with no problem. Those things can take a serious beating and keep going. I've written notes/excuses for people in arm casts for WDW and they were told they didn't even need them. You may want a doctor's note that she has no restrictions to ride whatever she wants while you're there (that's typically why I write notes) just in case someone has any issues with the cast or her healing fracture. Take it to guest services and see if they need it for anything, otherwise just keep a hold of it. It won't ruin your magic!!!

Please add me to the list. We just booked a deluxe room at BC for 5 nights, May 2nd thru May 7th. We will be doing a split stay starting at the Poly.

Jeanne and Lily are here and Little Princess Lily is watching Cars with all her Disney friends. She seems right at home ... almost like she was here last week instead of back in December. Off to Animal Kingdom tomorrow afternoon for her favorite thing: the parade!

Have a wonderful visit!

Well, much like KerryCM I also had a fairly great DR visit today also! :)

It appears that my new RA med is working (YAYAYAYAY:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:)!!!! Finally, after 8 previous tries, looks like we got it right!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Just awaiting the labs to see, but fingers crossed that this one doesn't stop working for a *VERY* long time.

I also got permission to taper my steroid, after WDW in...what's that??? TWO WEEKS...YESSSS!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

So happy...was very worried when we booked this trip in April that I would be in a scooter...but nope not this time!!!!:yay:

Sorry about those kiddos HubbDave and Karebear...

If your DD is anything like ours, if that tooth is annoying she will yank it herself.

I am admittedly in the dark about most things BCV and DVC.

Someone just asked me if the BC secret entrance is useful for guests staying in a villa.

Yes, No or does it matter where in the villas you are?

Here is what I have in the BCV post about walkways to EPCOT:

Shortcut from BCV to EPCOT
(Thanks for this info Best Aunt)

If you are staying at BCV, you need to know about the Shortcut more than the Secret Entrance. In this photo, the green building is BCV. The blue building is BC. When you leave BCV and want to go to Epcot, you don't have to walk all the way to the lobby and then out the back. Head toward the BC, but look for the path between the green building and the blue building.

Walk down the path until you get to the point shown here where you can't walk straight anymore (because you would walk into the bushes). Turn RIGHT. This is tricky. Your instincts will tell you to turn left, because you know that Epcot is to the left.

Go all the way to the end, and then turn left again. This also is tricky. The path will be so close to the patios of the first floor rooms that you will think you made a mistake and went the wrong way. You didn't.

Follow that path until you reach the gate. The gate will let you out on the main path. Stop and look at where you are, so that you will be able to find the gate on your way back in. Then turn left to get to Epcot.

I suggest doing it in daylight the first time.

Any other input is appreciated!

Thanks!
