I wanted to thank everyone for their kind thoughts. Feeling better about things today, Parkinson's has been ruled out and I have been given new medication. The tremors I have are not affecting my quality of life enough to warrant any surgery, yet. We will keep an eye on things and re-evaluate things in 2 months.
Jim and I are going on a trip the end of September to relax at my happy place. I need to avoid stress as much as possible as that tends to make the tremors much worse. Good thing Jim shares my love of Disney!!
Anyway, we will be at the Wilderness Lodge in just 58 more days and I just got an email saying my dessert party is booked!!
Okay, my husband thinks I'm crazy, but I know all of you would understand. We just got back from Disney World last Wednesday. School starts for my daughter on Aug. 21st. We have premier passes because we upgraded our Disneyland premium passes when we were in Florida. I want some use out of them before they expire on Dec. 28. It is hard to plan during the school year, even for a weekend trip, soooooo....I thought it would be fun to slip in a mini-trip to Disneyland from Aug. 13-16th. We would drive (6 hours) and stay in a cheap motel to keep costs down. Is that crazy or just normal for someone who hangs on the Disboards?
If it were me, I would not get on this bus, either coming or going, without a little something in my refillable mug! That's why it's a good idea to throw one of these in your back pack or string bag.... you never know when an Sunken Treasure emergency is going to come up!
Now picture this... you are on the bus, which is circling every Disney property... But YOU don't have a care in the world, because buried in your refillable mug is a ice cold Sunken Treasure.... Ahhhh.....

Sounds completely normal to me! I am going to pick up a premier pass myself in DLR for a four day weekend in advance of our 12 day trip to WDW in December. DD won't be 3 until the second trip so we only need one. Trying to figure out if we can BB in the spring to get the most out of the pass... It's not crazy, it's Disney math!![]()
We're in Northern California too, near Sacramento! Hi, neighbor. Thanks for the support. I agree, it's the smart thing to do to get our money's worth. LOL
We are down the road a piece in San Jose! That's it, we are just smart with our money! ;-)
Now if I could just get a nickel for every time I get told I'm wasting my money going to WDW when DLR is the "same thing" and closer... Lmao
OH NO! I work in a peds ortho clinic and waterproof casts are lifesavers for summer months. She should be find swimming around in it at SAB with no problem. Those things can take a serious beating and keep going. I've written notes/excuses for people in arm casts for WDW and they were told they didn't even need them. You may want a doctor's note that she has no restrictions to ride whatever she wants while you're there (that's typically why I write notes) just in case someone has any issues with the cast or her healing fracture. Take it to guest services and see if they need it for anything, otherwise just keep a hold of it. It won't ruin your magic!!!
Great information--thanks! Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. She is starting to feel better and I hope that she mends soon!
Hey all..
Quick question...
Are standard (non CL) water views at YC possibly of the quiet pool? Or is it a safe bet that they'd be of SAB or the Lagoon?
Thanks!

Ugh....
So I'm on hold, but after looking at the website, I know that there are NO rooms available at BC for either the 30% room discount or free dining. We were ok with paying full price, but when I can get a discounted room for a CL room at the Poly.... that's a tough choice.
On the phone, on hold, right now. What to do? What to do???
We love the Poly - stayed in a TPV room last year during F&W and for MNSSHP, and it was awesome. I know the kids really wanted SAB, but my DD7 (sitting with me right now), is actually thrilled about the possibility of being at the Neverland Club again. And being so close to Stitch? Well, jeez..... that kinda seals it for her.
So we'll see. If I can actually get through here at some point, I may have to say a very BIG THANK YOU for all of your help with our decisions at BC, but we may have to switch.....![]()
I've been lurking on this board for long enough ... it's time to show my face! I've got the best reason in the world for a first post - I just booked YC Club Level for November 16-23, 2013!![]()
Keep us posted!!!
The way I see it, you can't go wrong either way!
