I would love to do a CA trip too!!! I would love to do Disneyland for a few days and then go to Aulani!!!!! I doubt that will ever happen though!!! How about a summer trip there? I don't think Oct. would work for me. DS and DH would probably go with me, I couldn't go all that way by myself! Although DH said he didn't want to go to CA. DS wants to go to Legoland too.

YAY for the one month countdown. Sometime I want to go to MNSSHP! Can't wait to see your costumes!

A CA/DL trip would be awesome!! I am starting to read some books on DL and it makes me giddy inside!!!!

You gotta believe that the HM overlay is one of top reasons for visiting DL in the fall!!! I want to ride that ride until I'm dizzy!!! Also the original POTC...I say bring the boys and let's go!!!!!

The POTC in DL is soooo much better than WDWs version! I love Space Mountain there too. Toontown is super cute. AND Mr. Toad is still in DL!

Oh, and many changes have been made to DCA since I last went in 2008 - yes, yes - it is time for a return trip out west! We need to make this happen

The POTC in DL is soooo much better than WDWs version! I love Space Mountain there too. Toontown is super cute. AND Mr. Toad is still in DL!

I have heard that about Pirates, and is the same true for their Haunted Mansion?

I'd love a wild ride with Mr. Toad again.

It's doubtful that I will ever make it to Disneyland, but I think Jill will get there. John works in California sometimes for maybe 5-7 day jaunts, so the time will come where everything falls in place for her to go, too. That will be exciting!

MeMom, they have the Jack Skellington Halloween overlay at the Haunted Mansion in DL... we thought that was the coolest thing ever! The HM looks like a southern mansion, it has a different "spooky" for that reason... I think POTC and Space are better at DL, but DL is not WDW... so it is hard to compare, really...

WE HAVE three weeks !!! THREE weeks! A Disney box and the ME tags for Michelle and I came today!!! I bought a few goodies at the Disney store for the cruise coming up in November... I didn't buy anything for my trip.. Gonna shop for myself in october!!!!

A Disney box arrived here today too, and has been doing so weekly for the past few weeks! It had two of the designer princess dolls in it! Good thing that Marc was able to get two because a certain friend of mine from Texas wasn't able to get her Snow White! My goodness that whole collection has turned into a giant nightmare!!!

Did you see the new rules on buying them? Just got an email about it. It sounds like there has been a bit of an uproar around getting them. I knew they were selling out, but oh my. I wonder if a lot of them are showing up on ebay already.

I know you guys don't want to divulge your costumes yet, but DH and I are invited to a costume party and I'm struggling for ideas. I'd love something Disney of course. HELP!

OHHHHH.... definitely, you NEED, NEED, NEED to come to DL in California! It is my happy place! I live in SoCal with AP's and we go for every season. Fall is a wonderful time to visit. In fact... I was there yesterday!

Let's see, there are many reasons, but here are a couple:
~POTC, which I believe is the better version.
~Jack Skellington HM overlay... MY FAVORITE!! (beside the Small World Christmas overlay), this is definitely a must see and you will want to ride it over and over and over!
~Small World... quite different on the outside from WDW!
~Space Mtn, the Halloween, spooky version.. I haven't been on, but my kids love.
~The Matterhorn!
~Nice weather & low crowds (yesterday it was about 5 min waits)
~There is a DL version of MNSSHP (I only did it when it was at Calif Adven.)
~California Adventure's revamp will be done by then with the new Carsland.. and other new things, plus you can see World of Color, which is amazing!

It is a shock if you are used to WDW, it is much smaller (especially the castle), but more quaint and homey.
And of course... the light in the window above the fire station.. when you look up and see it glowing...it just gives me chills to know that Walt was there and you can just "feel" him there!

Have I talked you into it yet??? It is totally different from WDW, but each has it's own pluses and minus'. You would have a fantastic time!

So guess what we are doing today?!?!?!?!?

If you guessed single digit dancing you would be ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!​

In just 8 short days ( 9 for Anita and Megan) we will be stepping foot onto Disney property!!! I for one can't wait!! Am I ready? BWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH not even close! I still don't remember where I'm going on what park day...I know I'll have to go back and look at what Michelle posted and finally write it down, but until then I'm completely oblivious!!! Oh well I'll be at Disney, doing what I want and that is all that matters!!!!

So what has been done since we last talked:

All of the costume pieces for Anita and I have arrived and are ready to go!!! Looking forward to the party!!!

Photopass has been taken care of!!!!!!

New luggage has been bought!!!!! (and it is electric blue LOVE IT!!)

And that is is LOL!!!! I have a lot to do in the next 7 days!! Like get my hair and nails done. Go for a massage to help me relax before flying...pack...make a packing list (maybe I should do that before packing LOL)!! But I'm so ready and can't wait to be back at the Happiest Place on Earth.

So will you indulge me for a minute...I would love to tell you about my weekend!!!

As many of you know this past weekend I celebrated my bday with a surprise trip (courtesy of the best Prince Phillip ever) in Washington DC (I'll post pictures later if you want to see them!!) We had the best time!! We did museums, segways, wonderful dinners, a play at Ford's theater, an after 10 pm walk across the Mall (will NEVER do that again LOL)!!! And we had a blast doing it!!! After all that walking I joked with Phillip I was totally ready to take on Disney!! It was much cooler there than in TX but I survived...thanks to the 2 jackets I brought with me!! Of course wherever I go I always look for touches of Disney and DC did not disappoint (once again I'll post pics if you want to see them). DC is a great city and I would highly recommend you visit if you ever get the chance!!!

OH...and there was a HUGE highlight to the trip and it didn't even happen in DC, but at the airport. As we were going through security, I turned and looked over and couldn't believe my eyes. Standing in line was none other than Frodo Baggins (or one amazing doppleganger of Elijah Wood). Of course I facilated between being stalkerish and cool and totally chickened out of saying anything until after getting through security and Phillip telling me I would regret it if I didn't go over there and say hi! So I did, made a complete fool of myself but I shook hands with Elijah Wood and this LOTR's fan was ONE VERY HAPPY GAL!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!! WOOT WOOT!!!

Whew...thanks for letting me share that!!!!
