don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

:( Bummer!! I've heard your best best is to book A&E at least 7 days out, which obviously sucks for short trips.

I wouldn't fret, you will get to meet them!

#1 they started the new system at the A&E line this week, have you seen? When the line gets to a certain length thy give you a paper with a return time. So I would go rope drop and even if you aren't first you should be able to get a return time easy, especially in Sept!

#2 we have no idea what they could do with A&E for the MNSSHP! Maybe you can hop in line for them if they do a meet as your first party activity.

I would def still check a lot for openings, I've seen several people on my FB page get then days and weeks later.

I wouldn't tell the girls anything. I am sure you can talk them into skipping it if lines are ridiculous and no other options work out, plus they may not even ask. Just play by ear!

Sorry things didn't go as planned after you were so excited, but in the end it will probably make little difference, you'll still have the best time ever!! :-)

I've been a bad DISfriend and am just now caught up on your PTR! I'm loving all of your daily plans!! Makes me soooooo excited for you and your trip that will be here before you know it! Ah... I want to hide in your suitcase! :)

Don't be discouraged about Anna and Elsa! I'm really hopeful that it will all work out. Terri made some great points... just check back whenever you can and if you can, even though you're not a morning person ;), try to make RD that day. Walk quickly back there and if you can't get in the queue, hopefully they're still doing the new method they're testing this week!

Oh man. I am so sorry. But I agree with what Terri said. I think it will still work out for you. She had some great tips.

:( :crazy2: :confused3 hi guys.....I don't know what emoticon to use tonight. I could not get a fp for anna and elsa on ANY day of our trip. now i'm debating our options....
1) stand in line as soon as we get in the park for EMH to meet anna and elsa
2) keep trying back to get a FP
3) don't bring it up again and hope the girls don't ask
4) tell the girls we won't get to meet them and just talk up all the things we WILL get to do

i'm leaning towards 4 and 2. if we get a FP, then it's some early pixie dust. if we don't, well, we'll still be at Disney, right?

i'm going have to do some schedule rearranging to avoid backtracking, but i'm ok with most of them. not as excited as I was this morning, but ok :thumbsup2

Hi...just catching up today...really sorry to hear about not getting the FP. I had feared that with the short trip but always rooting for the magic, I had hoped for he best.

Those tips that were given are great ones. The new standby procedures may be a great way to make it work out. We have found through all of our trips that there is always magic to be had.

I am sure you will find it and have some.

Just wanted to say I am sorry you didn't get A&E but hope you get the front of the line at rope drop!!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

thanks for the tips! I guess i'm not so concerned about it right now. i'll keep checking back and see what lines and wait times are like and what the system is like then. we'll see them when we see them I guess!

we might have a slight advantage as there are EMH that day and, hold onto your hat, I was planning on getting to rope drop that morning (you didn't faint from shock, did you?). we'll see what happens. i'm sort of liking not worrying about it and having the time to enjoy other stuff and not stand in lines forever.

thanks everybody! I was bummed that night, but i'm ok with it now. it surely won't be the end of the world if we don't see them this trip. we will be in Disney after all! :yay: :yay: i'm going to keep checking on them, but if we don't, well, its a reason to go back soon, right? :thumbsup2

hello, everybody! we had another movie night! actually, it was a movie morning/lunch. we finally had our princess tea party! it was so much fun! I started getting ready the night before.....

we set out some princess friends and tea sets

put up some tissue paper flowers and "curtains" (plastic tablecloths are amazing things!)

set the table

tea cups for the girls

and put the girls hair in curlers for fancy princess hair!

Saturday we got up and into our princess dresses! my favorite part of the morning was after Hannah got into her jasmine outfit and I had taken the curlers out of her hair. she climbed up onto her stepstool and looked into the bathroom mirror and squealed "oh my GOSH! i'm ADORABLE!" :rotfl:

photo with our chalkboard to greet our guests

all the princesses started to arrive about 10:30. I can't post pictures because I didn't ask moms if it would be ok. but, they were SO adorable in all their princess dresses, like a poofy, swirly, princessy pastel cloud! since it was early, we started the movie. we watched Enchanted....

and they played with the tea sets and princesses and had a lot of giggly fun.

finally, it was time to eat. all the princesses were hungry so I didn't get many pictures of food. we had lots of yummy stuff--strawberry jelly/cream cheese sandwiches, turkey croissants, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, carrots and ranch, fruit tarts, apple juice "tea", pink princess goldfish crackers, cupcakes and tiffany blue punch!

this is the best picture of the table. had to put sunglasses on some princesses to protect their identity!

the aftermath.....even princesses make a mess!

I think it was a success! after the party and the clean up, I sat down with Madison and we actually watched the movie again. it was cute and I really liked it! I think the girls liked it too. after the tea party, Hannah and most of the princesses went to a swimming birthday party for one of the princesses. Madison played until Hannah got back and then they both played outside for a couple hours with our neighbor. I think this pretty much sums up the end of the day at our house.....

That's too adorable and so well done. I would have loved something like that when I was a little girl!

That's really cute and such a fun idea. Our little one is playing a lot with our older's dolls so this may be something we have to try.

you did a really really great job.

Looks awesome.

I'm sorry you couldn't get an A&E FP+, but like others said, you never what can happen between then and now!

I'm glad the tea party was a success, such cute pictures.

thanks everybody for the comments on the tea party! it really was a lot of fun. the girls are already talking about another tea party, but I think i'll wait awhile before I plan another one!

I have a question for everyone......is anybody having trouble with the my Disney experience app on their phone? I am trying to change our Hollywood and vine breakfast ADR and when i check for tables that works fine. it lists our tickets and hotel and ADRs. but, when I try to check on fastpasses it tells me EVERY TIME that I need to have valid park tickets (I do) and then it freezes on the screen and keeps giving me the valid park ticket message. I have to get off the app for several hours for it to "reset". when I get back on, everything else works fine, except if I try to look at fastpasses. i know the app can be glitchy, but I've never had trouble like that before.

also--I changed some FPs last night. just changed some times for our HS day. for MK, I switched out our splash mountain FP for the special seating for MSEP at 10 pm. i'm excited about that one since I know we'll get such a great spot for the parade now! it wasn't available when I made our selections the other night, but was last night! i'm way more excited about our FPs now!

I just tried to get on MDE from my phone and it wouldn't even let me on. It just kept loading and then told me there was an error. Maybe there's just a glitch today!

Not sure on the app, since I have no FP yet, but so glad you got the parade seating and you are excited for your FP again!!

The party looks so great! I love the place settings and the food. And your girl was right- she is adorable! :goodvibes They both look so cute!
Sounds like a magical day!

Oh I missed so much! I am sorry you did not get the A&E FP.:sad1: maybe something will work out!

The tea party looked like so much fun! I wish we could have been there!:sad2:
I do love that movie it's pretty cute!

Love seeing your pictures of the party! The girls had soooooo much fun and their little tiaras are adorable! Thanks again for inviting them! Addie loved meeting "her new friends" and Maddie was so cute yelling "Harper!!!" as soon as she saw her. Great time had by all I know!

it's finally working! Yay! I need to get over and read your TR! Thanks for checking your app for me!

me too! I am crazy excited for MSEP!

aww, thanks! I thought they looked pretty adorable myself, but I'm pretty sure I'm biased!

i have to say, I'm feeling like I've been freed from the Anna/Elsa fastpass craziness. I wanted to get one so bad it was really weighing me down. Now I feel like we're going to have so much fun, I'm not going to miss the meet and greet if we don't get it.

We missed you at the tea party, but I have a crown for Charlotte next time we see you!

I'm so glad the girls had fun! I was a little worried since they didn't know anyone else, but then I saw Harper playing with Madison and heard Addie giggling with the other girls and knew they'd be great. They're adorable! I'm glad they could come!

I was so happy after the FP stress was over and feeling pretty good.....but apparently i WANT to drive myself crazy, so i keep changing things around. i'm pretty sure this is about the 875043721 time i have changed our MK day plans. ok, maybe just the third time, but you get my meaning.

so.....let's discuss, shall we?

MK has extra magic hours that morning, so i would like to be there as soon as we can. we're not morning people, so we'll do the best we can. i'd be happy with 8.

i'm already torn on our plan of action.....at 8:20 Mary Poppins meets right by the town square theater area. i hate the idea of waiting around 20ish minutes to see her, feels like a waste of EMH, but i also don't love the idea of having to come back. so....let's say we wait...

then we'll head back to meet ariel with her tail and ride LM. after that, i think we'll head over to gaston's for a cinnamon roll and lefou's brew and to meet gaston, himself!

then we'll hustle over to ETWB to use our 9:40-10:40 fastpass.

we'll stop by the carousel, maybe try pulling out the sword in the stone, then head over to maybe ride Winnie the pooh and THE TEA CUPS!

then tomorrowland speedway, carousel of progress (which we've NEVER done) and maybe, depending on lines, buzz lightyear.

i changed our dinner ADR to a lunch ADR, which i'm pretty excited about. we'll head over to tony's for our 1:15 ADR. my other mary poppins thought. maybe we can be over to meet her at her last time which is 1:15-1:50 and change our ADR to a little later. i'll have to see....

anyway, when we're done eating, i thought we'd find a place by tony's to sit and watch the 3 pm festival of fantasy parade. then we'll head up main street to mickey's philharmagic, small world, stop at the Rapunzel bathrooms (i'm determined to find those pascals!), and maybe try to meet peter pan again. i'm not going to mention this to the girls because it was a very long line last time. it was totally worth the wait on a trip where we had two MK days, but maybe not on such a short trip.

after that we'll do haunted mansion and then head over for the 5 pm meet and greet with tiana and Naveen.

now here's another dilemma....after that we will have to backtrack over to do 7D with our FP at 6:10-7:10. if i can't get a later time, we will do that, then go try to do splash, POC, the tiki room and maybe Aladdin. if i can get a later time, we'll do those last few rides, then head over for 7D. either way, we'll then grab some dinner at casey's corner and go find a spot to sit with our 9:40 FP for MSEP! i am SO TOTALLY EXCITED for that!

after the parade.....maybe we'll stay where we are and wait for the kiss goodnight, then drag our tired butts out to a bus.....

problems with this plan....really only one thing is bothering me. having a 9:40 fastpass for the parade means we won't use our last FP until the end of the day, which means we won't be able to get more as we use ours up. i'm hoping that going in September that won't be much of an issue?

other random things......we have tentative plans to go to DL in 2016 (i know, who plans vacations that far in advance! did i mention that i seem to like to drive myself :crazy2: ). i saw on another TR the anna and elsa m&g there and it is so cute!! we're talking buildings with snow on them, a talking olaf....CUTE! so, i'm not even going to worry about meeting a and e this trip. we'll just save it for DL--maybe the crowds will be more normal by then.

and--so very exciting!!-- :hmghost: i bought our MNSSHP tickets tonight!!! :yay: :hmghost: i still need to print them out, but hey, we have them! i'd better get it in gear and get the girls costumes done!

other then that, i am trying to change the time of our ADR for breakfast at HS on Saturday. i'd like to make it just a little earlier. what are the chances that if we just showed up a little earlier, we'd get in? hopefully, something will pop up before our trip.

i think that's it....thanks for any advice!
