Hi Lori!!!! Just checking in really quickly - I can't believe how quickly your trip is coming up. I'm so excited for your TR!!! You are going to love MNSSHP - before Willow started school, October was our WDW month (well, for two years :laughing) - it is such a great time of year (I know you are going in September, but it must be the same feeling there). Plus, you are doing the party on my birthday - it HAS to be awesome!!!

me either! I seems to be coming too fast! i'm used to having more time to get ready. time is flying! we used to always go in November, so we're going to try another new time for us. I think it'll be great!

Your plans look good to me! I agree it is so hard to plan a short trip. There is so much to do and how do you narrow it down? it's tough, but I am still so jealous you will be going to MNSSHP!

I think the party is stressing me out the most. of course, if we can skip out on some of the meet and greets, i'd feel a lot better about getting to other things.

I can't wait for the party! we've never done any of the parties, so i'm excited to try one finally. and we love Halloween, so this is a perfect fit for us.

Ok I'm replying to one post at a time so I don't forget! So your first MK day-

If skip FP for ETwB and use it for splash. Like 90% of people will be running to 7DMT and A&E and be in line for quite some time. I don't think your wait will be long at all. And they let in groups for that one, so I heard the line will move significantly with each group. Worst case scenario the lines too long you skip and come back with FP after you use the other 3, I doubt they'll run out.

Speedway was so fun! I have to admit! It's not like other crappy car rides I've been on because a) they actually let the kids drive and b) you really push the gas and control the speed! Love it! Do it!

All the plans look good, you've allowed for multiple possibilities on parade viewing and such so I think you will be good! Although you should def get your butts up and there for rope drop! You can do it! You'll only be there a few days, do ittttt!

Ps glad the girlies liked their treats!

I was sort of hoping the same thing about the enchanted tales line. i'm also hoping that people will jam up the line for 7D at the party, leaving even shorter lines at other rides for us! I feel like I should insert an evil laugh there or twist my handlebar mustache. it's mean to want others to waste their party time, but I just want us to get to stuff, too.

I've also been tossing around the idea of using the fastpass for enchanted and getting our 4th for splash later, or the other way around. I can't decide. when can you get your 4th fastpass anyway? after you use your first one or after all 3 are used?

oh, lady.....I want to try to see rope drop since the girls have never seen it, but i'm not holding my breath. we are just such slow movers in the morning....

they loved them! maddie's done her puzzle a bunch (she LOVES puzzles) and Hannah put a picture from her swim camp in her frame. thanks, miss terri!

Party day plans sound very reasonable! I've seen others with far more ambitious lists that get it all done so you should be good! I know how you feel on characters... I want to do them but then again waiting when I could be doing other things sucks! Lol...

I want to try the monsters dance party for sure and maybe the toy story one too of the girls are still up. When I ask Olivia her priorities are RIDES and CANDY! Lol... Mine are the parade and fireworks. I think the hubs is that waffle...teehee

I am most worried about these party plans. I don't want to miss the parade or fireworks and I want to ride some outside rides when they are all lit up. meeting characters just doesn't seem so important anymore. I don't have a problem meeting jack or jasmine and Aladdin since their lines are supposed to be pretty quick, but i'm starting to lose my excitement over standing in line for 45ish minutes to see Rapunzel. although, i'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in meeting Flynn!

We are going in November 2014 to CBR for the first time too, so please share how your trip went at CBR. We are a little apprehensive due to some bad remarks/reviews on CBR on other websites. So will be interested to know how it went from one Disney fanatic to another

hi! glad to see someone new! i'm so bummed to tell you this, but we've had a change of plans and aren't staying at CBR anymore. we decided that since it's such a short trip, we'd try to save some money and are staying at POP century instead. I still want to try CBR sometime, so i'll keep an eye out for your review of it. I've heard both good and bad too, so i'll be curious to see what you think!

You're so detailed with your plans! Mine are basically "go to MK, ride x, x, and x on FP+, ride other stuff we see, the end."

Why not do the Speedway? Especially if the little ones want to! There's only so long that a kid wants to ride the Speedway; I think I stopped wanting to around 10. After awhile it looks like a baby ride to them. Now, maybe you start riding again when you're an adult.....

I'd FP+ ETWB. I hear that line is one of the worst ones in the park. You could always use your FP+ for ETWB, 7DMT, and AE, and then get your 4th FP+ for Splash. There's always FP+ left for it because it has such a high capacity - when Brer Fox and Brer Bear aren't causing a commotion downstream....

What is this party waffle of which you speak, and where do you get it!?!?

I know, i'm crazy! we used to just go and get a map and wander around in a circle and do what we wanted when we got to it. now, with the parks feeling more crowded and fastpasses and character meets (which we never did before we had kids--except mickey, we ALWAYS have to see mickey), I feel like I have to have a plan so we can do most of what we want.

I just can't decide on the FP for ETWB. I keep thinking we could fastpass that and then use our 4th for splash, or the opposite. then I keep hoping we'll get covered with some pixie dust and the lines will be short and fast and we can FP other things....it could happen, right?

the party waffle.....it's high on the to do list! you can only get them during the Halloween parties. they sell them at sleepy hollow in liberty square. they are a spiced pumpkin waffle with powdered sugar(cinnamon sugar?), ice cream and sprinkles...basically heaven on a plate! and i'm pretty sure you can use a snack credit for them! they also have special cupcakes and candy corn ice cream during the party. oh yes, not just the kids will be on a sugar high that night!

this day seems pretty easy. there's a lot we like to do here, but we always seem to have time. the park hours are 9-7:30, fantasmic at 8.

we have a breakfast ADR at 10:10. I know that's sort of late, but since we'll be out late the night before, I thought that gave us enough time to get some sleep and still have plenty of time at the park. anyway, of course we're going to Hollywood and vine to see doc, Sophia, jake and manny!

after we eat, we'll head out to space and use a fastpass at star tours. I keep thinking about signing Hannah up to do jedi training (I think she'd like it, but also I think rich would like to live through her for a minute and battle darth vader! ) we've never done it before and I don't know how it works (anyone?) but I don't want to have to backtrack for it later either.

after star tours, we'll go to muppets! we didn't see this last time, so i'm excited for it. also, somewhere over here we saw adult coffee drinks. we didn't get one last time, but I want to snag one this time. they sounded delicious! then I think we'll let the kids play in the honey I shrunk the kids playground for a little bit or until my anxiety over losing them in there gets too bad.

after that, i'd like to use a fastpass and do toy story mania. I actually want to go through the queue to see all the cute stuff, but I have zero interest in waiting that long for a ride. maybe one day the craziness over it will pass or we'll get lucky on some trip, but this time i'm fastpassing it.

after that, i'd like to take the girls on the great movie ride. we haven't done it in forever, but I think they'll like it.

after all that excitement, I think we'll grab a snack at starring rolls, which we missed last time, then we'll probably split up. rich wants to do the drawing classes again, and since I love his art from them, i'm all for him doing it a couple times if he can. while he does that, the girls and I will backtrack a little and to do some character meets and find the singing in the rain umbrella. i'd like to go meet mike and sulley, and woody and buzz, then head over to magic of animation and see mickey, Minnie and the incredibles. if we are good on time, maybe we'll do mike & sulley and woody & buzz when we're over there. I guess we'll just check lines as we get to them.

after we get done meeting people in magic, we'll wait for rich to join back up with us. then....i'm so excited for this!...Hannah agreed to go ride rockin rollercoaster with me! I can't wait! I haven't ridden this in forever! the first time I rode, I took the kids I used to nanny to Disney (like 15 years ago) and there was no line. we got off and back on like 3 times in a row. I just love that ride and am so glad my girl is brave enough to ride with me! rich and maddie will find something else to do, they're on their own with that plan!

so hopefully by this time, it's about 4ish and terri (denovagirl) and her family will be in the park!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you get my excitement here, people?!? i'm pretty sure that after I see her, squeal like a crazy person and freak her out with hugs (seriously, be prepared, girl!), we're going to head to the 4:30 characterpalooza, which I think is by the hat.

at 5:30 we all have dinner ADRs at 50s prime time! so excited for this!! send some our way, cuz i'm hoping for a fun waiter this time. I want us to get in trouble!

after this, i'm pretty sure that terri and I are ditching the husbands and heading over to tower of terror. I think her oldest is coming with her, so i'm hoping Hannah might change her mind and come too. I'm pretty sure i'll use a fastpass for this, or work something out with terri. if I don't have to fastpass this one i'm not sure what i'll use our last FP for. maybe FP RNR for Hannah and I and the beauty and the beast show for maddie and rich? not sure....

anyway, after my anxiety attack in the ToT ride (terri--the line seriously freaks me out.....just warning you. also, supposedly when we get off, we need to look over our shoulder and there's something from one of the shows hanging up. I read about it on one of danimaroo's reports. i'll have to go find it), we'll meet back up with dads and kids and go see fantasmic together. then we're headed back to POP and maybe we'll go swim or hang out for a little bit until we're passing out from exhaustion.

of course, that's just the beginning of their fun trip, but sadly, it's the last day of ours. we'll leave early sunday morning because DH has to get back home for work. I hate leaving Disney.....

so fastpasses---we'll use one for star tours, one for toy story mania, one for RNR/? something for rich and Madison OR one for ToT for me and 3 for rich and the girls to do something else. also, I guess we'll have one more after we use all those. so, either i can FP ToT then or if we have time, maybe we can FP star tours again or something. the girls love that ride.

oh, and an update.....I know that I have told you all that we are not morning people, and we're NOT, but I just changed our ADR at kona for Friday morning. we had a 10:15 time, but I moved it up to 9:45. not a huge difference, but I thought it would just give us a little more time for exploring the resort or getting some nap time in. I really want the girls to be awake for the party (I guess I shouldn't worry with the amount of sugar they could ingest that night, right?)

I think your MK plans look perfect! I'm not sure how lines are at ETWB now that Anna and Elsa and the 7DMT are there to pull people away, but last September ETWB definitely needed a FP and I don't think Splash really did. If you're not going to ETWB first thing in the morning, I would recommend the FP for it. It's slower loading because of the nature of the ride.

You do miss the regular queue, idk if it's worth waiting in or not cause we only did it with FP On MDE, it's only showing a 20 minute wait time right now in the middle of the day so you could probably get away with not waiting a long time in September if you go early?

Check my Disney board on Pinterest, I pinned a whole article about the Jedi Training. Sounds like you go to a building near the American Idol thing and sign them up (you have to take the kid with you) and they give you a time to return. We plan to do it with Liv on our other HS day.

Yesssssss! Now that we are getting there earlier than planned I think I am gonna FP+ it with ride swap in the day and we can just use the ride swap ticket to go back that night, its good for several people so the three of us and Hannah if she decides she wants to try it should be able to get on with that so dont worry about FPing it! Plus, with the tier stuff I dont think you can... double check that, I had to switch mine all around since I forgot about it!

I don't think you'll be able to tell i'm freaking out.... I just get anxiety waiting in the line cuz the CMs are so into their roles and it's so creepy in there, but I love the ride!

I think I've finally made a decision about ETwB. I think i'll go ahead and fastpass it in the morning. hopefully we can do that, E&A and 7D all in the morning and then we'll get our 4th for splash if it looks like we'll need it or cancel the one for ETwB if there's not much line and switch it to splash. I watched a youtube video of the line and while the cottage looks super cute, the coolest part is the mirror and you get to see that with fastpass, so I don't think we'll miss much if we fastpass it. yay! a decision is finally made!

also, I can't believe i'm even gonna say this, but i'm trying to move our Hollywood and vine ADR up a little too. If I can't change it and we're up and moving, we can always head over to HS and do something until our ADR comes. there are EMHs that morning from 8-9, so we could always find something to do before we eat if I can't change it to an earlier time.

and, just some fun stuff....has anybody been to $5 below lately? we haven't been in quite some time, and were pleasantly surprised with the Disney jackpot there! I didn't get a picture, but they had several different anna and elsa shirts and a cute olaf one too. they were all too big for our girls, but I keep thinking about going back and getting one anyway and cutting it up for a dress.....maybe. Madison also had fun trying on superhero masks (are these Disney now? I can never remember....)





we got some yummy frozen jelly bellies



saw these cute stuffies. they also had some little ball shaped characters on keychains



then, for being such a good errand runner, Madison got this little playdoh set. there was another one, but I didn't look at what character it was

that'd be awesome! I have seen princess ones before too. But I always see them at random places like Ross or TJ Maxx... And it's usually like one lone package, weird. I've never seen Frozen so that'd be great! I'll have to make sure not to open that in front of the girls and stash them for the plane bags!

You can always do no sew tees for those big tees! I did one last weekend and it was easy and fun! The tanks you can make out of them are fun too!!

Those little stuffies are always on the Disney Rewards site too, lol their eyes kinda creep me out, I've never seen them before in a store either, and the play doh set is adorable! Lots of good finds! Man, we need that store here! :-D

I think you ETwB plan sounds perfect! I totally agree with April, don't waste a FP+ during prime ride time! Also I think you made the right choice moving up your ADRs. For such a short time I think it's worth it to push it to get going!

I don't go to $5 below often but I always seems to end up there in the summer to look for things to put in care packages when the kids are away at camp. They seem to have a huge Disney/frozen selection right now (at least at the Brentwood one anyway). I wish I would have looked at the playdoh sets again so I could tell you what the other was. Madison is loving her belle one though!

I think the stuffies are pretty cute too! Although when I first saw woody I didn't recognize it at first because the hat sort if said fishing hat and not cowboy at to me!

hello, hello, hello.....(say that like burt from mary poppins, we've been watching that a lot lately and it's stuck in my head) just here with a quick note....

so, I still haven't made my iron on to make my sven shirt, but we have taken a step in the right direction! we bought the ink for the printer finally! I know, very exciting... I also need to get myself in gear and get the girls costumes made! and here I thought I had so much time.....it'll probably be a couple of weeks, but I WILL have a shirt to show you sooner rather than later! I am leaving tomorrow to take one of the boys I nanny and his friend to the dells, then next weekend is crazy busy, but I plan to have something together by the following weekend.

just because i'm pretty happy with them, here's a pic of the crochet crowns I made for the girls and their friends coming to the tea party. I thought they turned out so cute. the yarn was so fun with glitter thread and sequins. I also liked that they are super comfy for all the girls. anyone need a crown?



and, even more EXCITING!! we got this in the mail yesterday!



I can't wait until next Friday! I know the day is actually Saturday, but, in case anyone doesn't know, you can actually start making reservations when it's midnight EASTERN time. since i'm in the central time zone, that means I can get on at 11pm Friday night and make reservations. well, at least it worked that way last time, hopefully it works again. I can't wait for that to be done--one less thing to have anxiety about.
