don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

I think your new plan sounds much more pleasant! :) I think you will have an enjoyable time and feel like you hit the favorites. Now it might be hard for me to go to Disney and skip soarin. But as long as I got to see the castle, soarin could wait for another trip. Lol
And bugsmama11, you're obviously in STL, you'll have to join us next time we get together! How old is Miranda? Sorry if you've been around forever, I've just recently seen you post a lot and noticed you were another STL mom :)

I know your over at our PTR, but Miranda is 2 (won't be 3 til Dec.). And I would love to get together with other mommies who love Disney like I do!

Yay for more time at the MK!!! Love the new plan! MK is my favorite, probably because it's where my girl's eyes light up the most! I've been mulling over potential FP's for us... and 4 (maybe 5!) of our park days we will have our FP+ in MK! Ha ha!

And you mentioned Ursula from April's play! This weekend an old co-worker of mine was posting pics of her and I found out that the little girl was her niece! So bummed we had so much St. Patty's Day festivities and had to miss out on it!

I like your new plans...with little ones MK is the best choice.

I think your new plan sounds good! We are skipping Epcot this time too. I know it's kind of a bummer, but, I feel it's better to skip it then to be all rushed. Plus this way you will be closer to ft. Wilderness, so you will have more time before the HDDMR!

Sounds good to me! I think we might be at MK that Thursday too! I am still working on that!

More time in MK!! YaY!!

I have been sitting at the computer thinking and pretending I was in your shoes with only a few days at WDW and imagining how I would do it, and I think I would do the same.

MK Arrival day
Rest/Stay out all night at the MNSSHP
HS

Yup- I agree exactly with you. With Epcot theres not a lot of rides, it more like the park itself is the experience, walking around taking in the WS and then tinkering around in Future World... it requires a lot of time to really take it all in, so you'd probably be left feeling unaccomplished if you tried to squeeze it in. Better to just stick with the well known faves!!! MK & HS!!

EEEE!!!! We are getting SO close to ADR day!! I am getting excited!!! SO glad hours have been released, now I feel better!

Crazy! Small world!

So to sort of get caught up: Loved the monster idea for your costumes, Miranda is still pretty Monsters obsessed and I still get to watch it almost daily, thankfully Charter has it on demand right now thru Starz so I don't always have to actually put the movie in. Her current faves are Monsters U, Planes, Brave (Meri is what she calls Merida, at least she's close), Despicable Me 2 and now Callie's Wild West on Disney Jr.

I think Frozen will live on for quite some time, I'm worried now that we won't be able to snag a copy? :confused3 I know that's probably an exaggeration, but maybe not? The idea of frozen costumes is great!

We are planning another trip for Oct. 2015 with my parents to attend MNSSHP, my family is big on Halloween pirate: and my dad wanted it to be a tad cooler. So any info you get to pass along from your experience will be much appreciated!

You really were going to try to fit a lot in for your time, which I don't blame you for, but like you posted a bit ago...it may be good to scale back and darn it have to plan another trip :rotfl: I know the feeling of having to fly out so early, so if anyone sees me with a coffee drip around Lambert, just ignore me :coffee:

I already bought Miranda a autograph book, per my mother's request, at the Disney outlet in Chesterfield. I'm not sure yet that that is what I want to use for autographs, I'm not the crafty type...however, to make her first trip special I may just have to stalk Pinterest some more. BTW, your sewing is coming along great and those rompers are adorable!

Movie nights are something that I would love to actually start. DH works swing shifts, so it's hard to have him home so it can be a family night, but we already to watch a lot, but Miranda hasn't seen a bunch of movies, including Frozen...so excited to get it on Tues (fingers crossed).

Oohh and love the pressed penny idea, but might wait til our next trip when she can understand the concept better? We haven't done the ones at the zoo yet, but will maybe give it a shot first?

i'm excited about the frozen costumes. I think I've finally settled on a pattern to use. now I just have to get to the fabric store without the kids. I just can't take them in there when I have to look around....

I can't wait for the Halloween party! Halloween is DHs fave holiday and I think the party just looks so awesome!

:rotfl2: if you find someone to hook you up with that coffee drip, let me know! we could use that too!

thanks for the compliment on the sewing! I love doing it! just made a big fabric store run today! :hyper:

did you get your copy of Frozen yesterday? there were a ton out when we went to the store.

I'm excited about doing the pennies! I've already got a pile of pennies and quarters started and have been telling the girls about cleaning them. i'm thinking we'll keep them in a book while we're there (maybe?) and then make bracelets when we get back.

I couldn't believe I hadn't thought about the fact that we'd be rushing at MK before. we can't miss MK! i'm way more happy with this plan! (don't hate me, but we just don't like soarin' much. we did it once forever ago and haven't been back...:scared1:)

I like your new plan.

MK is your favorite park- so spend the most time in it..... Then pick whatever your 2nd favorite park is for Saturday!

Perfect! :)

I am much happier with this plan. I haven't given it much thought since I decided to change it. it must be right if i'm not stressing out about it, right? :thumbsup2

I think that sounds like a good adjustment! If MK is your favorite park, I think it'd definitely wiser to go there over Epcot. Especially if your only other time at MK will be the party!

i'm way more excited about this plan! we really do love MK best.

And I would love to get together with other mommies who love Disney like I do!

you should totally come hang out with us sometime!!

Yay for more time at the MK!!! Love the new plan! MK is my favorite, probably because it's where my girl's eyes light up the most! I've been mulling over potential FP's for us... and 4 (maybe 5!) of our park days we will have our FP+ in MK! Ha ha!

right? who doesn't want to spend more time at MK? :thumbsup2 now I feel like I can start thinking about ADRs!

if you talk to you old co-worker again--tell her we were impressed with her nieces performance! Ursula was awesome!

I like your new plans...with little ones MK is the best choice.

I agree! (it's the best choice for us big ones too! :rotfl2:)

I really felt like by the time we got there and checked in and got to a park and then had to leave for HDDMR we'd have no time at epcot for the things we wanted to do. i'm a little bummed we won't get to do pick a pearl since we missed it last time, but i'm really happy with the new plan! maybe we'll see you there!!

this new plan really makes me feel much better about going on a short trip. I feel like we'll really get to do things we all love and enjoy it, not just rush around the whole time. AND....I feel like I can really start thinking about ADRs, which is SUPER EXCITING!! :yay:

oh friends....i'm having another dilemma (don't be surprised....I am such an indecisive person, yet insist on being in charge of planning things at our house :rolleyes2 )....

so i'm super happy with our plan to do MK on Thursday, party on Friday and HS on Saturday. now i'm thinking that, even though I know we would love it, we should skip HDDMR and just have dinner someplace in MK. it would give us more MK time and there is an 8 o'clock MSEP that I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see. we skipped it last time and that really bummed me out. plus, then I thought we could do dinner (maybe CRT?) after that when everyone else is watching fireworks. i'm not so concerned with seeing wishes since we'll see fireworks at the party, but if we did CRT, maybe we could see them from the castle? and, some of you probably already know this, but we have plans to do WDW with awesome super close friends in 2017. they've never done HDDMR either and it would be cool to do something new with them. does it sound like i'm trying to convince myself to change plans once more? it sort of does to me....

p.s. I asked DH if he would mind if we skipped HDDMR this trip (he always drools over the pictures I show him), thinking he would be the deciding vote, and he gave the ever helpful answer "I don't care. whatever is fine." thanks, babe.... :faint:

Well, you know I love Hoop Dee, but with such a short trip I agree that you should just stay and eat in MK. You need to get the most out of your time, and Hoop Dee is a long show/meal as is, plus the travel to get to it, you'd miss many hours in the park.

CRT for like an 8pm ressie to see the FW isn't a bad idea. As you recall, we did that exact thing and it was kind of magical to see the FW from INSIDE the castle. Def a fun, new way to see Wishes. But it wasn't my fave meal, not that it wasn't delish, just compared to others. But still, I think its a great idea if you are trying to stay in the parks. I'd probably do that or early dinner at a monorail resort if you're looking for a short reprieve and be able to hop back over to MK.

Decisions, decisions.... :scratchin

It is SO hard for me to even imagine planning a short trip. Picking between new things and old faves is an impossible choice, but ultimately I would go with things you know and love and won't be disappointed in, and that you already know what to expect. You don't want any hiccups to mess with your few precious days there!!

I CANT WAIT to see what ADR's you finally settle on!! You don't have much time to decide!!

How about LTT for dinner?? We did it our last trip and loved it! The food was wonderful! We always have good luck finding a pretty good MSEP spot over in Frontierland, and you'd be right there!

Have you eaten at CRT before? I love eating in the castle, so I am partial with this meal!

Which would your girls enjoy more?

How about BOG or LTT (like mentioned above)?

While I really like the idea of HDDMR, I think I would rather do it with a group of friends...not something my children would really get into. And anything that gives me more time in the parks soaking up the atmosphere is more my style.

How about California Grill, Ohana, Nacrosees? These all offer great views of Wishes...and if you decide you want to go back to MK you can!

I'm pretty sure we can't be friends anymore... :( Lol j/k

Lol! Don't hate me but I don't like it either...actually the ride was fine but it made me SO sick. I'm too scared to try Mission Space bc if Soarin got me that sick...lol

I really want to try HDDMR, but I also want to have time to spend in MK....i'm really leaning towards just staying at MK and saving HDDMR to do with friends on our next WDW trip.

I think planning a short trip is SO hard! I think i'm finally getting that it's not a week long trip, so don't try to make it into one. we'll just enjoy what we get to do....it IS Disney afterall! :thumbsup2

I'm pretty sure we can't be friends anymore... :(
Lol j/k

I was afraid you'd say that! can I blame it on DH? :rotfl:

that's a good idea. we've never eaten there before and I was thinking about trying it last trip, but we didn't. if we could watch the parade from that area too, even better!

my other thought was tony's--only because we just saw lady and the tramp and the girls might like the themeing AND because it's right by the front so we wouldn't have to haul our tired/full selves so far to a bus! :lmao:

we have had lunch at CRT before but not dinner. I don't know if the menus are that different for the two meals or not, but we did like it. I thought everything tasted wonderful because, hello?, YOU'RE IN A CASTLE!!! princess: the girls liked meeting the princesses and I liked getting to meet them all without waiting in lines. i'm not crazy about using 2 dining credits for it, but it would be for our anniversary dinner....

we did BOG for dinner last time, and it was fun, but not my favorite. i'd rather go back for lunch there. i'm going to have to look into the other ideas you listed. we love ohana for breakfast and I think it'd be fun to do dinner there too.

I think the girls would be happy with anything. they'll probably be too tired by that time to care!

Lol! Don't hate me but I don't like it either...actually the ride was fine but it made me SO sick. I'm too scared to try Mission Space bc if Soarin got me that sick...lol

I can't even use being sick as an excuse. we rode it and DH thought it was boring. I thought it was fine, but I just don't need to do it again. I am always glad that we don't have to use a FP for it or wait in line. I guess we'll probably do it again sometime when the girls are older so they can try it, but until they know they're missing something, we'll just skip it for now...:ssst:

I love the new plan, definitely need more time in MK!! I think I would skip HDDR. It will be nice to be able to look forward to doing it next time, especially since your friends have not been either. As for dinner....:confused3....this is my downfall. They all look good to me....sorry, not helping, I know :)

you can't go wrong with MORE time at MK, right? I know--I want to try all the restaurants. I've got to get to thinking about places because our 180 day mark is in 6 days!

fair warning--this post is a little :offtopic:

I had a lot of fun sewing this weekend and wanted to share what I made! First, I finished some matching dresses for Madison and her friend. Aren't they too cute?

Then, I made Easter dresses for Hannah and Maddie. They are super cute, however, I accidentally cut maddies too short, so hers will need some leggings. Oh well-- I still like it.

I also made these super simple skirts for the girls. I've had this fabric forever and just got to making these. Hannah loves superheroes and Maddie loves skirts, so win-win!

And now, Disney related! I finished the pillowcases that I had fabric for! I need to still find some Disney fabric that all the characters can sign on. So, the pirate one is for jack sparrow, the green/blue one is for jasmine and Aladdin, tiana is for tiana and naveen and the princess one is for all the princesses to sign. They all have the white border on the edge. That's where they can sign. The girls are very excited, so I'm happy.

Other things on my mind right now--I haven't booked our trip yet (keep flip flopping on leaving Wednesday night vs Thursday morning and coming back Saturday night vs Sunday morning) but I need to do that because Saturday is our 180 mark!! I also need to get to thinking about ADRs, because I still haven't made final decisions. I am so excited for this trip but it seems like it's all coming so quickly and I'm not ready this time! Excited--you bet! Prepared--not at all! :rolleyes2

P.S. sorry about the huge pics. We are having Internet issues so I'm on my phone and photobucket won't let me edit size from here.

6 DAYYYYYSSSSSS!!!!!!

I really love the idea of Tonys if you want something new. I would choose it myself over LTT only becuase #1 I loooove italiano, so I think food wise I'd pick Tony's,the location of both LTT and Tonys would be great for going out to watch the parade afterwards bc theyre both kinda on the parade route, but Tonys is also in a good spot to watch the fireworks and then be able to jet outta there to the buses right away.

CRT would still be fun to if you want that character meal. I just hate the 2 credits!

And dont forget you could always watch a parade and then hop on the monorail to, ohhhh say Ohana and watch Wishes there! They turn the lights down and pipe in the music and they do the coconut races and stuff for the kiddos.

Ack! Sorry! Im not being helpful by offering even MORE suggestions, am I!?!?!? Soooo many choices, its almost a burden, lol! :rotfl:

Love your sewing projects...so jealous! I wish I was better at it! The girls are so cute!

One thing I would suggest is to do a quick service somewhere before the party...or a very early dinner (around 4 pm) so once the party gets underway you are not wasting anytime with a sit down meal. Then snack the rest of the evening.

You are a pretty talented sewing chic!

I'm not in the least bit a crafty person...I love to look at Pinterest ideas, but not sure any of my boards would ever come to see the light of day?

I would love to make a autograph book or something for our next trip on Oct. 2015...my mom is the scrapbook person, so I may enlist her help on that one!

If I were you, I would come back Sunday morning. I think it will make it a bit more enjoyable because all day Saturday you won't have it in the back of your head that we have to be out by this time bc we have a flight to catch. On such a short trip, I would squeeze every possible minute out of it. But I do understand about your hubby having to work....
