don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

6 DAYYYYYSSSSSS!!!!!!

I really love the idea of Tonys if you want something new. I would choose it myself over LTT only becuase #1 I loooove italiano, so I think food wise I'd pick Tony's,the location of both LTT and Tonys would be great for going out to watch the parade afterwards bc theyre both kinda on the parade route, but Tonys is also in a good spot to watch the fireworks and then be able to jet outta there to the buses right away.

CRT would still be fun to if you want that character meal. I just hate the 2 credits!

And dont forget you could always watch a parade and then hop on the monorail to, ohhhh say Ohana and watch Wishes there! They turn the lights down and pipe in the music and they do the coconut races and stuff for the kiddos.

Ack! Sorry! Im not being helpful by offering even MORE suggestions, am I!?!?!? Soooo many choices, its almost a burden, lol! :rotfl:

yes, such a burden. ;) I don't like doing two credits at CRT either, which is partly why I'm leaning towards something else. I think it'd be neat to see the fireworks from there, but we've done it once. Not sure i feel the need to do it again yet.

I thought the same thing about Tony's. closer to the bus when I have to roll my stuffed self out of the park! :rotfl: I'm thinking its a toss up between Tony's and LTT. Or the plaza--I'd really like to try that too.

Love your sewing projects...so jealous! I wish I was better at it! The girls are so cute!

One thing I would suggest is to do a quick service somewhere before the party...or a very early dinner (around 4 pm) so once the party gets underway you are not wasting anytime with a sit down meal. Then snack the rest of the evening.

thanks! pinterest and a bite from the sewing bug have really gotten to me lately!

oh, you can bet we'll be snacking! :thumbsup2 I saw a picture of the waffle at the halloween party (like the Nutella ones)--it looked SO good! I think we're just going to eat at the resort before we leave for the party. That way we can (fingers crossed) get naps in before we have to leave.

You are a pretty talented sewing chic!

I'm not in the least bit a crafty person...I love to look at Pinterest ideas, but not sure any of my boards would ever come to see the light of day?

I would love to make a autograph book or something for our next trip on Oct. 2015...my mom is the scrapbook person, so I may enlist her help on that one!

If I were you, I would come back Sunday morning. I think it will make it a bit more enjoyable because all day Saturday you won't have it in the back of your head that we have to be out by this time bc we have a flight to catch. On such a short trip, I would squeeze every possible minute out of it. But I do understand about your hubby having to work....

i agree--I think if we tried to leave Saturday night I'd be all stressed out about getting back in time and not enjoy the park. I'm still looking at flights and trying to decide what to do about leaving. There is a 7ish flight out Wednesday night. I could maybe do that for me and the girls and DH could come alone the next morning, or we could all leave together really late, but then we'd have a layover. Why can't St. Louis be a hub for SOMEBODY again so there'd be better flights? Don't they know we need to get to Disney?!? :lmao:

My aunt does scrapbooking and made really cute books for the girls after their first trip. They love them and look at them all the time. I just can't get started on scrapbooking--there are too many choices! But if you want some help crafting up other stuff, I'll help if I can. We could have a Disney craft STL DISmeet! :thumbsup2

Love all your sewing items! The dresses are so cute!

thanks! I have really had the itch to sew lately. Thankfully, the girls still think it's cool to have me make stuff for them--got to enjoy it while it lasts! :)

has anybody seen these on Pinterest yet? I thought they were so cute! And what a fun, easy way to decorate some eggs! (Of course we always go to the in laws and all the cousins make a HUGE mess in the basement decorating eggs, but we could still do these too) they're just temporary tattoos put on the eggs just like you'd put them on kids. Too cute!

That's awesome!

The eggs remind me of the people who have been decorating their magic bands. A lot have used temp tattoos and they look REALLY cool! I kinda wanna do it!
You should search the boards and look for the thread. It's like 50 pages long but some people have done really cool stuff!

I hear you on Lambert not being a hub for at least one airline. That's why it gets to be so expensive to go see DH's family in PA, bc we have to fly into Harrisburg. It's cheaper to fly into Philadelphia or Baltimore, but both are like 1.5-2 hrs away and by the time you factor in time and gas, it's just easier to fly into Harrisburg. I'm not sure why we have Lambert International and we don't have at least one airline that we have a hub for? :confused3

/
can anybody explain this to me? what is the fantasmic dinner package? can I use dining credits for it, or is it separate from the dining plan? is it worth it to get the reserved seats at fantasmic? I'm trying to decide if it's worth worrying about or not....thoughts?

i'll have to look for that. I wasn't planning on decorating our bands, but I think even I could manage slapping on some temporary tattoos!

we always blame it on TWA.....even if they're not around anymore to take the blame  but you're right, you'd think somebody would want to be based here. sigh.... :sad1: if it didn't take so much of our precious few days off, I'd just drive but I can't sit in the car with the kids that long! somebody would end up tied to the roof the entire trip (me, for the peace and quiet! :rotfl2: )

You go have dinner between certain times and then you get a spot in the reserved section at Fantasmic. Its not a reserved seat, just a section, so you can sit anywhere in that section. FYI its in the middle of the auditorium.

Yes you can use your credit like normal. You can only book it through Mama Melrose, Hollywood & Vine or Brown Derby. Thats really the only catch. Brown Derby is a 2 credit meal, the others are 1. (MM would get my vote! H&V is a buffet and no characters for dinner)

The only thing I dont know 100% is that I think that they need a credit card to reserve a spot. So you may have to do that even if your on the dining plan.

;)

Oh! And yes I'd say its worth it if you were maybe going to dinner at one of those places anyway!! I know I really wanna try MM!!! But it got beat out for the fun of Sci Fi this time, so maybe next trip!!

I wouldnt let the seating be your main factor..you are going during low crowd times anyway, and if you go a little early youd still be able to get a good seat. Its just nice if you do have the reserved section to be able to walk up right before the show and know youve got a good spot. But they say there are no "bad" seats for that show. I know I sat on the too row last time and it was great!

thanks! I wanted to do a character meal, so I guess the fantasmic package won't work for that. we've only done fantasmic once, years ago, but I don't remember there being bad seats. i'm also not sure how the girls will do there. we've never gotten to see fireworks yet and with the flames and stuff, maybe further back/to the side wouldn't be bad for their first experience there.

Yea you can do the Dis Junior characters at breakfast or lunch at H&V, we're gonna do breakfast before the park opens. I agree on sitting back for the show if they havent seen it much!! Olivia loved it, but did admit it had scary parts. So probably good that she didn't feel we were right up next to it! lol

:banana::woohoo::cheer2: WE ARE BOOKED!!! :cheer2::woohoo::banana:

sorry--just a little excited there! it's really official...we are booked and have 183 days until our trip! our plan right now is to leave Wednesday night and come back sunday morning. we may have to split up due to DHs work schedule to go down, but we'll just keep our fingers crossed and hope we all get to travel at the same time. so I booked us in a preferred room at all star movies for now. if free dining comes out, I might try to change that to CBR, but we'll see. i'm sort of excited to see ASMo again and all the things we missed the first time. of course, if free dining and switching resorts saves us a few hundred dollars somehow, i'm all over that too!

I also spent some time today figuring out ADRs! i'm so excited! here's the plan....for now....subject to change....let's hope not....

so not knowing when we'll get there Wednesday night, i'm not planning anything. if we get there early enough for some dinner, we'll probably just grab something at the resort and pay OOP for it.

THURSDAY: MK day
i'm a little torn about going over to Poly and having breakfast at Kona Café and just getting to MK and grabbing a cinnamon roll and some fruit at Gaston's in the park. I have Gaston's written down, but that tonga toast is calling my name!

for lunch I would like to try Casey's Corner. we've never been in there and the menu looks yummy!

I think dinner will be at Liberty Tree Tavern. we've never been here either, we'll be over here to try to meet tiana and Naveen towards the end of the day, I hear there's good places to see MSEP....all signs point to giving this place a try! my other thoughts were the plaza or tony's, but i'm pretty happy with LTT for now.

FRIDAY: party day
I also thought about doing breakfast at Kona this day, but i'd really like to just stay at the resort and CHILL, so my plan for now is just breakfast and lunch at the resort.

i'm thinking we won't eat a real dinner. we'll get to the park at 4 for the party, do whatever, get some snacks and get in line to meet Rapunzel and Flynn, then snack around the party the rest of the night. not healthy, but not the end of the world either. has anyone seen the party waffle at sleepy hollow? :hyper: it looks so good!

SATURDAY: HS day
i'm thinking we'll sleep in this morning and not get to the park until about 10 or so. with fastpass plus, I don't think that'll be a problem. my plan is to have a late breakfast/early lunch at Hollywood and Vine. the girls loved it there last time and I think they'll like the new characters.

then we'll have a late lunch/early supper at 50s prime time.

of course, there'll be snacks all those days, but i'm mostly planning on using snack credits at MNSSHP. if I've counted right, we'll use up all our credits and not waste any like last time. i'm also thinking about bringing some snacks this time--just poptarts, granola bars, fruit snacks sort of stuff.

WOOHOO! This calls for dancing banana's!!

Love all your plans! Sounds like a fun time! LTT food does look super delish!

We have the same plan for no official dinner on party day! That's when hubs may grab a hot dog at Casey's and I really wanna try a pork shank at Gastons!!

YEEEEEE! I am just so excited things are coming together!! Almost ADR day!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: YAY!!!! Congrats on booking your trip!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

What exciting news! I think you park plans are great... and you will love your LTT dinner! We initially had that one booked because we couldn't get BOG, then BOG released more tables so I had to book it because our friends wanted to eat there. But I really did seriously look at booking it and paying OOP because it was so yummy. Didn't do it and I'm going to miss it!

Finally catching up here now that your TR is done! Yay for being booked!! I think your plans look great. If it were me, I'd definitely do Kona on your Party day. But I'm a rope-dropper, so getting to MK after opening would drive me crazy! And I think that breakfast at the Poly when you don't have to get to a park in the morning is still very relaxing. Eat, explore a little bit, head back to ASMo to relax and get changed before the party. Sounds perfect to me! :goodvibes:

i can't believe it's so close! Last time I booked our trip and had months to wait until I could make ADRs. Now I just have a couple days! I'm excited to try some new places too!

I'm glad we're not the only neglectful parents letting their kids (and themselves) eat junk food the night of the party! :lmao:

im so excited! Now to figure out plans for the day and wait and wait to make fastpass reservations (Anna and Elsa and 7 Dwarves, of course!).
