Hi all! I think a few people had mentioned bringing the Frogg Togg cooling towels... So I looked into it. It seems like many of the reviews say that it works great in dry climates, but not good at all in humid climates. Isn't DW pretty humid in the end of May/beginning of June timeframe? Has anyone used them in that timeframe or in a really humid timeframe and found them useful?
Also, which size (towel, sport towel, Dana, wristband, or headband) would you recommend and why?
Thanks!!!
I recommended these to my friend as her DH is a very large guy (6-4 300lbs) and they were going in JULY! Well, he said they worked great in WDW. Like the Enduracool or any snapcool towels, you do have to move it or snap it after a while. He'd get a glass of icewater from CS and just re-wet it after a few hours. There's some reviews in Amazon with one recent one mentioning in the comments that somebody had just taken them to Panama on their vacation. He used the larger towels because he's a larger guy, but you could use whatever size is appropriate to your size. The neck ones will keep you cooler than the wrist ones, obviously, and I don't like a headband, but that's me.
I'm sure, in hindsight we should have allowed them to fully dry before putting them in our bag, but in Florida, in June, we would've been walking around waving our towel in the air trying to dry it for hours.
People have mentioned forgetting their underoos, but my last trip, I forgot to pack my regular bras and only had the sports bra I wore on the plane trip over. It was super hot and just too tight for all day wear in FL weather and was forced to buy some ridculous one that was too expensive and that I hated.
