Don't forget to pack ____

Which size do you have? And do you hold it like a shoulder purse or cross body?

We have, I believe, the medium. I can get a travel umbrella, pair of flip flops, camera, all kinds of stuff. Thinking about getting a small one. I wear it on my shoulder and DH wears it cross body! LOL. It is very user friendly.

Here are the dimensions/sizes:

I didn't pay that price, however. Much cheaper at AAA.

Silly question, how do you have stuff mailed from the internet to your room ahead of time? What if it arrives on Tuesday and I don't get there until Thursday, do they just randomly look in the computer to see if you will be a guest and hold it for you?

Not silly at all. IDK, but the conference resorts may have a fee to do this, but others don't...but do recommend a tip to portage/baggage services.

You need to have your name on the pkg as GUEST c/o RESORT NAME & you have to make sure you have the EXACT address info. for the resort, otherwise your package will go to WDW general mail.

On Disney's site it says:

Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can receive mail during their stay. Occasionally, some Guests choose to ship items in advance of their vacation to help save luggage space. If you intend to receive mail during your vacation, be sure the receiving letter or package:

Includes the mailing address of the Disney Resort Hotel
Clearly features the word “Guest” on the front and the date of the recipient’s arrival at the hotel and Reservation Number.

Just make sure you have the exact resort address.

Ok, call me dumb... By AAA, you don't mean the auto club, right?

:thumbsup2 Yes...that is where I got mine. Prices are comparable at Amazon if you aren't a member of AAA. I just checked at Amazon and the prices are much cheaper than directly from Ameribag.

I bought it on Amazon last night! Thanks!

Now I'm researching light up trinkets and breakfast food to purchase on Amazon and have shipped directly to the hotel! Anyone do this and have any tips?

Where are you staying, if you don't mind me asking...Each resort has an exact resort address that you would need to put on the package. I got light up trinkets at the Dollar store for my daughter - light up wands, light sticks, bracelets, etc. You can have it shipped to you as guest. Here's the information I got from Port Orleans site:

Guest or Party Name, Reservation # (with Room Number if known, otherwise check-in date)

Packages by courier (UPS/FEDEX) rather than by post, or if you have perishable deliveries such as groceries, it is best to use the hotel’s street address (2201 Orleans Drive, zip code 32830-8424 for French Quarter or 1251 Riverside Drive, zip code 32830-8514 for Riverside) rather than the PO Box number for general post. Please advise them if a food delivery will need to be kept refrigerated, and Bell Services can arrange this for you.

If the delivery is for a guest not listed on the reservation, use the name of the primary guest on the reservation. If the guest has not yet checked in, the mail will be held for them. You will get a call or message from the Front Desk to notify you when a package arrives. Do make sure you work your timings out so the package arrives in good time though, you don’t want to miss it!

The resort asks that water deliveries be kept to a maximum of one pack per outer cardboard box, as Wal-Mart and some other companies have started packing two large packs of water into a single outer carton, and these heavy boxes are becoming difficult to handle.

Don't know what you are shipping, but if breakfast items (granola bars, etc, I guess I would ship my own pkg via UPS Store so I know it went out when I wanted it to. Just make sure you have the exact resort address and not the general Disney address.

I'm staying at POR. :) Thanks for the info! I was going to use Amazon Prime for free quick shipping, but I was going to send it a week or two early... If that was allowed... And nothing that needed to be refrigerated before opening.

I'll definitely do dollar store glow sticks if I can't find any cool and cheap electronic/spinning glow things.

Cool! Be sure to check out the POR Thread under resorts. It's my home away from home! Have a good trip!

Thanks everyone for their advice and broadening my education.
After help from google I now know what body glide and a boony hat are lol

We have 1 small bag:
ameribag_baglett_micro_sea_moss.png

LOADS of pockets. Looks small, but will hold a lot. I like it because it's waterproof and can put phone in there on wet rides. It is amazing what it will hold. Try as I may, we always have to have some sort of something: tylenol, meds, whatever and this works excellently for us. I've rolled up a princess dress and squeezed it in there after Akershus! LOL There are 3 sizes. I got mine at AAA.

That looks like a great bag. I might have to try it. I've always been a baggallini fan, but do not like the messenger bag as much as I thought.

I have a similarly shaped and sized bag that I bought at our Totes outlet for $10!! I've used it on our last 5 trips..it's literally the perfect bag! It's a backpack, but the straps are super thin and can zip together if you'd rather wear it differently. It's nylon so it sort of waterproofs it. It's just the right size, and is somewhat triangular in shape so it fits your back nicely. I have pics I can post, but I'm on my phone. Will post later :) :)

Nightlight
Power "squid" type power strip
Sunscreen
Poncho
Moleskin
Extra contact lenses
Charging cords for electronics
Ziploc bags (various sizes
Refillable water bottle
Clothespins (to keep draes shut in room)
White noise machine
Baggallini messenger bag (love mine!)
Skechers memory foam sneakers (the best shoes ever!)

Awesome list! I love the idea of the squid type power strip and the white noise machine.

As a non-American, this need to "sanitise" everything is one of the strangest cultural things about America.

Alcohol based sanitisers are not effective against norovirus (which causes most stomach bugs) http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/...-norovirus-spread/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0

The need to "disinfect" everything is making it hard for hospitals to sterilise operating theatres effectively (which leads to people getting infections that can't be treated). It's increasing antibiotic resistant diseases. And soap and water works better. http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Antibacterial_cleaning_products

And being too clean probably promotes allergies, asthma and maybe even immune system dysfunction in your kids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hygiene_hypothesis

I just don't get it.

I'm not one to sanitize everything and am not a germophobe at all. But when it comes to a hotel room you bet I'll be spraying it down with lysol. You never know how well it was cleaned since the last person was in there (and who knows what germs the last person had). So on my once or twice a year vacation I'll be darn sure to whip out a can of lysol if it helps keep me from getting sick while i'm on vacation.

I agree! I am a person who snuggles duvets and blankets around my face when I sleep. I never thought much about it when I was younger and we traveled. Then one day I saw a picture on the DIS of someone changing their baby's diaper on the bedspread without anything under them and I was so disgusted. I know the bedspreads aren't washed as often as the sheets. Ugh! Gross! Now I always bring my own blanket and use it instead of the bedspread.

Yep! And spraying down the room isn't going to kill you. If anything, it helps. Lysol Brand III contains the ability to kill most things your typical hand sanitizer doesn't. If you want a real heavy duty hand sanitizer, you'll want to look for the Clorox Bleach-Free spray. Pricey, but the best freaking sanitizer out there. As long as you're smart with it (meaning you don't use it every two seconds), you're fine! Bonus points if you wash your hands regularly with hot water and soap, and don't touch your face.

Please also note that they typically only hold packages for up to two weeks, so even if you send it early, don't send it THAT early. Try to get it delivered within a week or less of your arrival.

Hi all! I think a few people had mentioned bringing the Frogg Togg cooling towels... So I looked into it. It seems like many of the reviews say that it works great in dry climates, but not good at all in humid climates. Isn't DW pretty humid in the end of May/beginning of June timeframe? Has anyone used them in that timeframe or in a really humid timeframe and found them useful?

Also, which size (towel, sport towel, Dana, wristband, or headband) would you recommend and why?

Thanks!!!
