Don't eat that! Let me take a picture first! 7 nights on the basic DDP. Complete 5/5

That pretzel looks so yummy! I still have not tryed one, I must remember them for our next trip in Sept!

I've meant to every trip, too. I'm so glad I remembered this time! It is REALLY good.

Here's a little tip that worked for me....
I made a SNACK index card for each park. I wrote down everything that I thought we'd like to try. It worked out great! We didn't waste all our credits on bottled water this year. :thumbsup2

Thanks, that sounds great!

I'm definitely going to do that. Now will I remember to take it with me when we go.

Sci-Fi Diner

This is one of our favorites for lunch! It doesn't work that well for us on the DDP, so we always do it OOP.

Just walking inside here makes me know I'm in Disney! I LOVE going at lunch when it is so bright and sunny outside and a dark, cool night inside. It really feels magical to me. :cloud9:

That's not us out front, just some people who happened to be standing there. The parks were really not crowded at all. We are used to June when you can barely see the entrance for all the people. :goodvibes

Even the check-in area wasn't crowded!

There were auditioning people for American Idol right outside the restaurant. They were asking people to cheer as the contestants ran out with their golden tickets. It was fun to watch as we waited for our table.

Here is the view from our car. We had two rows, so the boys sat in the front and DH and I sat in the back seat.

This is a view of the kitchen area. It is set-up to look like a snack bar at a drive-in movie.

DH and I both started with my favorite. Vanilla Coke! So sweet and yummy.

IMG_0237.jpg

DH has to have the 7 Bean Beef Chili (that comes with shredded cheddar, pico de gallo, and tortilla strips). It looks and smells wonderful, but he doesn't share. ;) He must really like it, because he orders it every time and cleans his plate.

IMG_0235.jpg

The boys both had the same thing. The menu lists appetizer choices as tomato soup or garden salad, sadly my boys don't eat either. They always let us substitute another side. We chose apple slices (without brown sugar). They both had burgers (with cheese, mustard and ketchup) and fries. And as usual, milk to drink.

While I was taking pictures of our food, the kids attacked theirs. So sorry for this picture, but I wanted to give you an idea of a kids meal here.

DH and I were pretty boring this trip. We ordered a lot of the same meals. This time we both had Angus Chuck Burgers (Flame-broiled beef patty topped with cheddar or swiss cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms and crispy bacon. Served with a choice of cucumber-melon salad or french fries.) We even both chose swiss cheese! :confused3 For our sides, DH had fries and I had BOTH! I love the cucumber-melon salad, but I really like having fries with my burger. So I had the salad with my meal and a side of fries. We both ordered our burgers well-done, and they were still very juicy and not over-done. The entire meal was really good.

Our CM was Tony, and he was great! He had fun with the boys, and took a couple of pictures for us. There are ketchup and mustard bottles on the tables, and Tony brought us all small cups of mayo.

This was our day to celebrate DS7's birthday. (We each picked a day or two to wear a button. Since we can't go on our "real" birthday, we pick a Disney birthday.)

Both boys had ice cream with their meals, but DS7's came with a candle. It looks a little melty, but he finished it off anyway.

The total cost for this meal was $59.99 before tip. We love it here and will be back again year after year. The burgers and fries are great, but the atmosphere is the BEST! :thumbsup2

I'm loving your report so far :thumbsup2! I am hoping to book a trip this October and want to stay at POFQ.
The LeCellier pics are great. Just wondering....what exactly is the tongue part of the chocolate moose?

Sci Fi sounds like a great place to eat. We have not been there before, I'm sure it will be a meal that we will choose very soon as I think the kids will really like it.

Your snack idea is the bomb!!!!!! LOL I will surely have to "borrow" that one from you!!

That stuffed pretzel has my name on it! yummmmmm

Wow! Sci Fi looks terrific. I love a good burger but haven't been there. I think I'm going to fix that! ::yes:: Thanks for sharing!!

I have just found your reviews and they are great. I can not wait for more. My family is going to Disney in June and we have 3 kids, DD12 DS9 DD5, that are enjoying your reviews too. You are eating at some of the restaurants that we are and they are enjoying hearing about what they can have too.

Great reviews!!:thumbsup2 I loved the pictures of LeCellar, hoping for reservations in Oct!! The pretzel snack looks delicious! Thanks for the reviews, will keep waiting for more:surfweb:!

It was a cookie, but I'm not sure what flavor. If DH remembers I'll let you know. He only got to eat one of them. DS7 borrowed the second one and never gave it back. :lmao:

We love it!:thumbsup2

It really did work great. Every other year I've just tried to remember and ended up eating lots of Mickey bars and drinking lots of bottled water.

I also had a card for each park listing all the CS places and what they offered to eat. Those really helped, too. :goodvibes

IMHO, their burgers are the best at Disney. :woohoo:

Thanks! :)

Maudite rules!!!
Yeah, baby! :thumbsup2

The Sci-Fi pictures are awesome. Thanks for the thread!
Thanks!:)

While we were waiting to use our fast passes for Toy Story and RNR, we decided to have a little - OK, huge - snack at...

STARRING ROLLS CAFE

We had 4 bottles of water, but paid OOP for those. :goodvibes

For some reason DS7 always chooses parfaits then never likes them. :confused3 I think he expects them all to taste like the ones at McDonalds. :upsidedow So he chose.... big surprise....

Strawberry Shortcake Parfait. Since he didn't eat very much of it, I tried a little taste. It was just OK. I wouldn't waste a credit on this one. Not much to it. He eventually dug down and ate the jelly-like substance at the bottom.

IMG_0271.jpg

DS9 is a brownie freak! He will eat them in any shape or form, so this was right up his alley. He LOVED it and finished the whole thing. I think he did have mercy on his brother and give him a bite or two.

M and M Brownie

IMG_0272.jpg

I had a heavenly Fruit Tart. The crust was thick, almost like a dense, chocolated lined, sugar cookie, the filling was light and creamy, and the fruit was fresh and fantastic. The only problem I had with it was that it wasn't big enough! :lmao: I think I could have eaten at least 2 of these. I also had mercy on DS7 and gave him a raspberry - but just one. ;)

IMG_0274.jpg

And DH being the peanut butter fiend that he is had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake. This was gigantic! He didn't even come close to finishing it all, so we all had some!!! :woohoo: The chocolate shavings were wonderful, but even better was the chocolate cupcake filled with a creamy peanut butter and chocolate center. It was like having a creamy, truffle in the middle of a small cake. Soooooo good.....

IMG_0273-Copy.jpg

This will be a must do for us from now on! We may even try it for lunch. The sandwiches were on display and they looked really good. They were huge and piled high with meat. :goodvibes

I have got to try one of those chocolate peanut butter cupcakes :). I absolutely love chocolate and peanut butter together!

OMG that cupcake was GINORMOUS!!!! Thanks for explaining what the crust was like on those tarts!!! I have seen pics of them from time to time (and well @ WDW) but I figured that the crust was like a dry pie crust. :confused3 So it tastes more like a sugar cookie?? I may definetly be trying one now on this trip!

Oh and by the way just finding your dining report and LOVING it!!!:hippie:

YUM I can't wait to eat at Sci Fi again. We love it there.

Strarring rolls is a fave too! That M and M brownie looks amazing lol!
