In about 15 days, I will be taking a group of young dancers down for their first real dance competition. We can't book our faspasses until the day of because of some group ticketing limitations. I can't wait to report back that we still had a magical time. I truly can't wait to see Disney through their eyes.
The funny thing is, I took their moms down as teenagers back in 2000 and 2001 for one of their first dance competitions. I'm pretty sure it will be a very emotional and memorable trip! We plan recreating some of the same pics we took back in 2000 with my young dancers today.
.No cancelling for us, in fact, we've booked 2 trips this year!
DH & I were able to try out the MB's last October and we had absolutely no problems with them & we also liked FP+ and were still able to ride other popular rides with little wait (and the parks were far from empty). Also, while we are no longer park commandos, we do take advantage of EMH's and find that we can get a lot accomplished before even using our FP's. We have also found that many of the stand-by times are overly exagerated. ie: TSM... last August, can't even tell you how many times the stand-by line said over 2 hours wait, and it only took us between 20-35 min to get on the ride each time (and yes, we timed it). With the exception of Soarin', we found this to be the same at many of the other popular headliners. In a nutshell, we are all extremely excited about our upcoming August trip. We'll be celebrating our youngest DD's sweet 16, we'll be trying a new resort and of all the places we've traveled (and we've traveled a lot), Disney is still our "happy place!" Disney to us is so much more than just the rides...that's why we keep going back.
Now that tiers are dead at DHS and EPCOT I love FPP even more than I did before!![]()
Wait I just looked after reading your post, I was over the moon. But I still see tiers at Epcot and DHS.
Gotcha, darn its a work around which means maybe Disney did not mean for this to happen![]()
Also on some rides we only scanned one band so we had an extra one to use. We weren't trying to cheat the CM said he just needed one..... When we went to another ride we had an extra person and her two little kids (under 3) and they just let us all through. I know scold me if you want
It was nice to change it with the app. It did take some getting use to but after a day we got it down. I noticed if you missed one you could change it to a different time (if one was available) then you could go in and change the experience. But you couldn't change the experience once the time passed but you could change the time for the missed one. in my opinion, Disney headline rides are not as good as the headline ride in parks such as Cedar Point or Universal. Disney's big rides are ok, but definitely not what makes Disney World, Disney World. Go to Cedar Point, or Universal Studios if big exciting rides are your thing. I, in fact love, Cedar Point for that reason.
My first trip there I was disappointed because of the tameness of their rides…I didn't get it yet! After the trip, I figured that I probably wouldn't go back… Disney World was fun, but there were lots of other places to see and do.
on every trip, but that life
. But I remind myself how truly lucky I am to be able to go to WDW.
