Don't be so quick to walk by the people taking surveys

Several years ago, DH and I were approached in MGM. We were asked if we wanted to watch a TV pilot show (The District) and then we had a LOOOONG form to fill out with questions about every detail of the show. It took the better part of two hours. We didn't get anything, just "thank you very much for your time" - never got a pin code either. But, it was fun and we never expected anything anyway.

That's great...but I think the difference is your survey took 1 1/2 hours. Most others are just a few questions.

Lucky you!

I'll talk to the survey people as I'm LEAVING a Disney park but not on arriving. I've been approached by people asking for some of my time at rope drop - NO WAY! My early morning Disney time is worth more to me than $100 Disney dollars.

I have done several survey upon entering the parks and received nothing in return except "Thank you for your time".

I got to try a new VR video game once at Epcot :)
We were cooling off inside Innoventions and a CM walked up and asked us if we had a few minutes. We did, so followed him into a CM only door to find a whole room set up where they were testing an Aladdin VR game. I got to ride a thing....kinds like a motorcycle....and wore a helmet with visor and it all made me feel like I was on a flying carpet flying through the alleys of Agriba. It was VERY cool! I've always wondered if it ended up at DisneyQuest or something, as this was the year before DQ opened.... Maybe if we ever got to DQ I'll find out!

thanks for the url

I just finished 2 online. One of them I was approached at Epcot for my email address and when I came home the survey link was waiting for me. Next was a postcard from CBR asking me to log on and do another survey. Anyone get anything from these tyes of surveys? That would be great!

Kilee,
This is one of the attractions at DQ! :moped:

I do online surveys all the time. I have gotten $20.00 so far, which I used to get Disney Dollars. Most of them take from 5 to 15 min. and they give you 10 to 15 points. Once you get to a certain amount you can turn them in for money or prizes. Some of them will ask basic questions then tell you you quailify for a longer one for more points. One of the ones I got to do was for these new Pillsbury biscuits that are packaged for individuals, I think they are called Perfect Portions. There are two biscuits in each pack and there are six packs per box. If you get a chance to do these kinds of survey's DON'T do the ones that offer you chances at winning money, only do those that give points for participation.

It did make it to Disney Quest :earboy2:

This past May DD9 was approached at Universal to taste-test some cereal. She did and then they asked her questions from a computer and got $10 in Universal bucks.

DH years ago was approached at Epcot and did a movie and a survey on the future attraction of Test Track, it took him about 1 1/2 hours and he got $75. It was our last day there and I just went shopping he really enjoyed it... :sunny:
