OMG the food at Yachtsman's looks amazing. I may have to try to talk DP in to there for our date night in November. Loving your report!

Elizabeth when I saw the picture of your ds from House of Blues, I was :rotfl2:, and why do you ask? Guess what... I bought the SAME exact shirt for middle ds . I cant remember where I got it, maybe Team Mickey a long time ago?

What days does Ricardo work?

I love the colony salad from LTT too!

Hope you have a great time at Cali Grill tonight. Are you timing it with the fireworks?

:offtopic: Just wanted to say that I love :lovestruc your screen name and I too Love Mary Poppins! One of my faves!

Great photos from Yachtman's! I've got to try it this August (I don't want to stress you on your trip but admitting that I haven't made any ADR's for August yet.).

I tried LTT for the first time in May and really loved that Colony Salad and the Ooey Gooey dessert too.

Hope California Grill was great.

;) We bought the shirt last year at a shop in Adventureland.

I am not sure what Ricardo's schedule is. I know he works on Tuesdays.

We didn't stay for fireworks. Cali Grill had quite the profusion of naughty children tonight. And we are all really stuffed and sleepy.

Bernadette, MAKE SOME ADRs, woman! :scared1: I REALLY wanted the ooey gooey cake. But DS was cold and DH was full so they didn't want to sit there while I ate dessert.

You should have told them to leave and stay and enjoy it all by yourself! Have you ever tried it? Next time order that first.

I had to go to LTT by myself because my travel mates decided they don't like MK and I had already spent all of about 3 hours there on another day with one of them and so neither of them wanted to go. I normally wouldn't do TS alone at WDW but I'm so glad I did!!!

Hey!! I can't believe it. We were at LTT at the same time today! Well we were seated at 11:40 and out of there by 12:20. I had the colony salad as well! Luckily I did get to try the toffee cake and it was delicious!!! We leave tomorrow wah!! But we've already decided next year will be a long trip! 10 nights! Yes!! Have an amazing rest of your trip and can't wait to follow along.

This just goes to show you how enormous MK is. Well, how enormous WDW is in general. You can be in the same place as other people and never bump into them! :rotfl:

Now I am really disappointed about the cake. But you know what? I'm here for another WEEK! So DS and DH can do whatever, and I can go have CAKE! So THERE!

10 nights is a great length for a trip! You'll have to keep me posted as your plans come together! :thumbsup2

California Grill was interesting.

It was very LOUD. There were lots of naughty little children there. Children screeching, children running, children throwing themselves on the floor in a fit and howling. Seeing how I deplore that sort of behavior, Cali Grill lost some atmosphere points. Our waiter, Walter, was terrific. We started with a HUGE platter of sushi, which ended up making me so full I only took about 5 bites of my entree. But everything was very good. Alas, no dessert because I was STUFFED. And I didn't see anything I wanted to order to go. We did NOT feel rushed this time like we did last time, so that was good. We didn't have a good view, so we are at 100% for crummy views every time we have been there.

California Grill photos look great! I think your chances of a window table are better if you eat when they open at 5:30 but I know you don't like that. When we go as a family we never get a window table-they don't have them for parties of 5.

You have to go back to LTT!

I lvoe your food pictures! popcorn:: I just have to be sure that I have eaten lunch before I look at them. :rotfl2: Great pics of the Four of you! Four I say???? Because I keep picturing myself there with you!!!!:rotfl2: Looks like you are having a great time.

That sushi looks delish!!!

It was good, but it was REALLY filling.

Candy, we wish you were here!! :)

Bernadette, I need to tweak some ADRs. I should see if I can add an LTT lunch next week.

Star Wars Weekends has had some changes this year. Not for the better, in my opinion!
Last year the parade was at 11 AM, and it ran the "normal" route from the gate up front to the gate next to Star Tours. This is significant for a couple of reasons: one, the sun at 12:40 is INSANE. We sat down at 11:45 in the shade and by 12:15 we were in FULL sun. And the route is now from the gate up front to the HAT! By cutting two-thirds of the route they effectively crammed A LOT more people into a very small section of the park. It was not pleasant.

We agreed we will NOT do Star Wars next year. It was way too hot, too crowded, and too much was in the sun. Character lines were in full sun for sections, and they move so slow we were in the sun for extended periods of time.

We had lunch at Sci FI, but no photos because I was halfway through my chicken sandwich before I realized I didn't take any pics.

Wow, great food pictures! I am so hungry after looking through all of them.

Sorry to hear it was so hot and crowded for Star Wars Weekend. I have been twice in May. Not as crowded, but the heat was killer. The heat, coupled with some sinus/ear problems from flying, left me stuck in a room one year with a very bad flu-like sickness.

Did you at least get to meet any fun characters?

DS got photos with Boba Fett and Darth Maul. He did Chewbacca and Darth Vader last year and those lines were easily over an hour so he didn't want to stand there this year. He also got photos with Stitch, Donald, and Goofy & Pluto in the Animation Building where it was nice and cool and shady! :thumbsup2 He really has very little patience for character photos, so I think we were lucky to talk him into those few.

The artist who designed the Nightmare before X-mas Vinylmations was signing them in the gallery, so I got a Mayor. :yay: His little head spins so his face changes, just like the REAL Mayor! :rotfl2:
