Done It Once, Don't Need to Do It Again...?

Indy Speedway. Way too boring and so un-Disneyish.

My DH and DS hate parades. They stood in line with me for the MNSSHP villains parade ---which I loved -- and they both hated.

Sidetrack story. My DS is 5 and learned the "F" word in school. His teacher told me how he used it appropriately in the following sentence, "My Mommy made me watch the F-ing parade at Disneyworld." God help me please!

1. An meal at Teppanyaki (sp?). It was an overpriced Benihana.

2. Alien Encounter - SO glad it's gone

3. Star Tours - Did not understand what was supposedly so great about this one.

MGM -- Sounds Dangerous, Fantasmic, Indiana Jones

Epcot -- Living Seas

MK -- Big Thunder Mtn., Country Bears, and the NEW Tiki Room

AK -- Kilimanjaro Safaris, the walking trails, the parade, and all shows except Lion King.

LIVING SEAS by far- unbearable boredom, haven't been in there in years.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit...better write these down for myself because by the time we get back I'm going to want to see EVERYTHING again which almost killed my family :)

MK:
Swiss Family Tree House
Hall of Presidents (unless my kids actually want to see it)

Epcot:
The Living Seas
Rio del Tiempo

Animal Kingdom
Tarzan Rocks

MGM
Sounds Dangerous (I'll jump on that bandwagon)

other:
Hoop de Du - I was glad we did it once but I'll pass on a second viewing.

Have to agree with Mission: Space, or the Vomit Comet, as I like to call it - never, never, never, never again! Could also skip most of the AK, with the exception of the Lion King show, the safari, and ITTBAB. And I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Backlot Tour - I think it's a total yawn. I also personally have no desire to do another character meal - entirely too much money when your kids are lukewarm about the characters.

My 40 year old body can't handle these rides anymore. I was so bummed out. Around 5 years ago I would have loved it. I went on it recently and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had chest pains and I was dizzy.

Never again.

Because of this experience, I didn't go I Mission Space because I have high blood pressure and all the signs scared me.

Oh well. I'll have to stick with Winnie the Pooh and Small World.

LOL.

P.S. I still do love Tower of Terror. I don't think I can ever get tired of that ride.

And Dinosour in Animal Kingdom is exceptional.

In my post I forgot to include Pizza Planet. Chuck E. Cheese's I can find in Pennsylvania.

I have 2:

My Mother (who was in her 70's when she rode it) challenged me to go on Splash Mountain. (she knew how low-tech I am). So I did. and cried for a half hour after it was over. Never again. I was scared out of my wits.

It's A Small World: Besides feeling it was a waste of stand in line time, we couldn't get that song out of our heads for days. Oh no, I'n hearing it now)

Gah!! The Hall of Presidents! We love the Hall of Presidents and the Country Bear Jamboree!

Isnt if funny how different tastes can be.

And what is with the Living Seas lately. Arent there suppossed to be manatees or something in that big tank that is always EMPTY! Yeesh!

I would say for us there isn't much we would say we would never do again. Although I can't ride Mission Space because of motion sickness, but my dh loves it!

*Gasp* I forgot, we like Spaceship Earth too!! :teeth:

MK
1)Speedway
2)any parade
3)any Dumbo-esque ride (3 in MK alone, sheesh)
4)Carousel

D-MGM
1) Star Tours (or, as I call it, Return of the Vomit-i)
2)Fantasmic (unless I had a FDP and entered 10minutes before the show, rather than the 30-45 minutes suggested, and even then... especially lame that you have to go by all the $tore$ to exit from FDP section, rather than out the way you came in at Oscar's)
3)Pizza Planet (weak, could be so much better)
4) Sounds Dangerous (never done it, but just from the description--"go undercover and witness wacky audio illusions"-- "sounds" sounds bad...very,very bad)
5)parade

EpCot
1)that one really weird, bizarre tasting carbonated beverage at Ice Station Cool-- "Beverly"?
2)haven't done everything at EpCot, so there will probably be additions to this list :headache:

AK
1)Kali River Rapids (I must've hit low-water season, cause "rapids" were nowhere to be seen)
2)Triceratops (that's four like that--I'm just amazed they don't have one at D-MGM and EpCot)
3)probably more in the future, as we haven't seen all the shows :headache:

It looks like I'm overly harshing D-MGM, but I do really like the park. There are plenty of things I would do over and over there. And I also enjoy the scenes of the various performing "citizens" (Mayor, Card Shark, Gangster Dating Game, etc.,-- cool).

I guess it all depends on your state of health. I am 56 and I go on all the rides and like them as much now as I did when I was in my 30's. I also have high blood pressure but it is controlled by medication so I went on Mission Space with no problems at all except that I thought it was awesome.

In no particular order:

1) Tomorrowland Speedway - Although my 5yr DD loved that she got to steer, she still said "can't this go any faster???????".

2) Swiss Family Tree House

3) The Dinoland midway

4) Hall of Presidents

5) The current version of Journey into Imagination with Figment

6) The Maelstrom

7) The China movie

8) Cinderellas Carousel

9) Tom Sawyer Island

10) Indiana Stunt Show

11) Disney Quest

12) The Boardwalk - unless I was staying at one of those hotels

Mk - Tomorrowland speedway

Epcot - Ellen's Adventure, Test Track

AK - ITTBAB

I think the Hall of Presidents is one of the best napping places in the state of Florida. The air conditioning is great!:)

I hated Timekeeper, I think it wouldn't have been so bad if you could sit down. (and take a nap)
I like Ellen's Energy Adventure and Hall of Presidents for napping.
I like Star Tours but Body Wars bangs around too much.

I have never been on either one of these, now i am afraid of trying them. Tom Sawyer Island- ditto
Sounds Dangerous. Do you think i should at least try them once?????

Sound Dangerous--the vast concensus is DON"T BOTHER

For Tom Sawyer Island, it depends upon some things:

for those of us who had a childhood close to one of the Disney parks Tom Sawyer's Island is part of our childhood nostalgia, and one jump on the pontoon bridge is all it takes to bring it all back. If you have an adventurous kid inside of you, then by all means give it a shot.

If you read Tom Sawyer, give it a shot, you'll find caves and be back with Tom and Huck and what's his face the bad guy.

If you have a kid with you who has been doing everything on a "track" then take them to Tom Sawyer's island, and let them find their own way. It's an adventure.

I think, if you take the first boat over, and find a paint brush, that you get a free fastpass for everyone in the party, unless they've discontinued it.

What i would NEVER do again:

Country Bear Jamboree (we walked out in the middle)

Snow White (kids hated it, so did i:D )
