Okay, here’s the plan for the next few updates…

This is still a PRE-Trip Report, so while I’ll offer some insights and a boat-load of photos from our little weekend at WDW, it won’t be a formal report. Actually, it was something of a learning experience in anticipation of the August trip in addition to just being a fun getaway, so that’s the approach I’ll be taking.

Lesson 1: Be Flexible. Or, Don’t Plan Squat for Day One


Thanks to some freakish storm thing, it rained here for about a week straight before heading to WDW. I kept my fingers crossed for a break during our trip, but that did not happen on our first day. And the Plan for that first day was… to hit the pool. I scrapped that Plan and made a new one in which we’d quickly get checked in at the Poly, get Leo’s new AP and head into the MK to ride a few rides.

What really happened was we less-than-quickly checked in, forgot Leo needed a new AP and took an extra loop around the monorail track to get to the TTC, and gave up on the MK after waiting 30 minutes to buy the dang AP.

Instead, we lounged around the Poly for a few hours and I played photographer.

Well. That’s different.

Don’t we look happy? Appearances can be deceiving.

Note to self: get rid of that horrible skort immediately.

Ever stop to look at the Tambu Lounge ceiling? We did.

All together now – aaaawwwww!!!!


The rain was on and off all afternoon. It stopped long enough to grab some pictures outside, and we probably could have hit the pool after all… except that Bell Services had custody of our swimwear by that time. Urgh. See Lesson 1.

But, thanks to having all plans foiled, I snagged some really pretty shots, if I may be so immodest as to say so. Enjoy!

Just getting caught up on all my TRs in between getting chewed out by my boss

Loved the pics - some look postcardish. Leo is gorgeous and has a great sense of humor. I love the fact that you and he picked out your ADRs together. I guess that is a big benefit to having an only child. If I tried that I would get 5 different answers and whichever I picked I would be accused of playing favorites, always doing what he/she wants to do, we never do what they want to do, etc.

Your twittering was also great.

I think I have learned that we need to scrap most plans when in WDW

we have come to learn that when you go often enough(several time a year) it seems the plans are ALWAYS changing

our plans the last few times were fly by the seat of our pants!!!
