Hey Ducks!
I'm still here. Just really busy getting settled in Houston and starting the new job. I picked up my new car last night. The house inspections are complete and closing is in less than two weeks now. Still need to go shop for a washer and dryer and various other bits for the move-in. The truck from Canada will unload at my new house on 2 May, so maybe some normalcy will begin to settle in after that.
Looks like the new job will have me traveling to Louisiana a fair bit. I'll be supporting one of our chemical plants between New Orleans and Baton Rouge on some project work. I'm hoping to minimize the travel, but I'm not sure I'll have much say.
I'm running now OUTSIDE 3-4 times a week, thinking about getting ready for the W&D Half. I must admit, I really enjoy the fact that I can run outside year-round now, as opposed to the 6 months inside running in Canada.
Laura - Loved your report on the Capital Half. What a cool course!
Tim - So glad to see you back here. And running too!
Liz - Hope you're over your March crud and April is going better for you.
In terms of WDW, I was able to snag a breakfast ADR at the castle. MY BFF wants to eat breakfast with Cinderella when we're there in October. Again, for the record, I think Princesses are sissies. But I'll take one for the team.
Starting to work on January Marathon Week plans, but not too seriously.
To all - Keep flappin' yer feathers! I'll get back here when time permits. In the meantime, I'll keep lurking.

. I'm looking forward to some warm weather, I'll even take HOT weather, after the winter we've had. When are you getting in for the race? Debbie and I fly in Friday morning and plan on spending the day at Epcot, it's open till midnight and we are going to try stay the whole time. Gotta nap on the plane to be able to pull it off.

But, last night I made the decision to move our treadmill into our family room. It's currently in pieces in our garage (we had to take it apart to get it out of our last place). I know that if I keep it in the garage, I will not use it. So, even though I hate the idea of having to look at it in our family room, it will be the best place for it so I can watch TV while I exercise in an air conditioned room.

My next race will be Wine & Dine. Until the training for that begins my motivation will be pretty low, really. I'll be on the tm for the most part from now on due to warm temps here. Usually by the time I can run each day the sun is out and beating down. And that beating down sun is worse than warm temps to me, I really dislike it!
