Please tell me about your experiences here with Donald and company. We're going in September with a huge Donald fan. I've never done this breakfast. Just thought maybe I should book this one.

For sure, book this one, we usually book this each trip, with or without the grandkids. The last trip with the grandkids, they had a terrific time, enjoyed all the characters. The servers were very attentive with the kids, joking and playing. The adults got into the fun also. The food was good, many choices along with all the fruits and buns.

There were just us four adults went to this breakfast last year me and dh (27) and my parents (50s) we thought it was great, nice restaurant, great food (fresh with a fab selection) and the character interaction was perfect. I would recommend to anyone.

I've eaten at Donald's on several occasions. The food is not great, but it is good. Typical buffet food, but the have breakfast pizza that is pretty good and a quiche that is also good.

Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy come around to the tables. They don't spend a lot of time, but enough for some interaction and a couple of pictures.

We usually try to get an 8am ADR. Its kind of cool to walk through the park before it is open. Then, when you are done, the its about 9am and you can head right out to ride the attractions in "Dino-land". Not my favorite place, but I have little kids who love to ride Triceratops Spin. Made the mistake of riding Primeval Hurl (I mean Whirl) right after breakfast. Never again!

I'm thinking of secretly making an ADR for Donald's to surprise DH.. Is it enjoyable for a couple of twentysomethings with no kids?? Also, is it worth the price ($18.99 for adults, I think)?

We eat there every time we are at the world! My DH and I are often the only ones in our group that will get up early and we love Donald's. We always get attention from the wait staff and also great character interaction. I would highly recommend this breakfast to everyone - with or without kids!

We did it last year and I wasn't that impressed. The food was nice and plentiful but as two adults we were totally ignored by the characters, the handler was pulling them round to all the tables with children and we were invisible to her. I actually had to grab pluto while he was standing waiting for Goofy to finish with another table but Mickey and Donald did come over for a picture. Never did get to meet Goofy.

my dh and I do this meal each trip. We've have gotten lots of attn from characters and servers are great.

as for pranks only ones that come to mind are a ketchup one and a plastic dino that hangs with server.

We were there last July for the first ADR of the morning. The buffet was decent and lots of choices. The character interaction was terrible - it was incredibly rushed. We had already done CP breakfast and 1900 Park Faire dinner at that point, and both of those were so much more relaxed as far as the character interaction even though they were both incredibly busy. It truly felt like we had a 3 minute limit for the characters at the table for Donald's. We were very disappointed and won't return. I've heard mixed reviews and was hoping to have a good experience, but I guess we weren't lucky that morning LOL

We, too, do this every trip. What works best for us is to make a LATE reservation, 10:30ish. This way the restaurant is nearly empty and lots af character interaction. Food is good for us, good selection. We get to the park for opening and do the big name attractions and when we are about through those, it is time for breakfast. A friend of mine does the opposite---before park opens ADR. She likes being in the park before everyone. I don't see a great advantage with that method, plus breakfast is a lot more crowded at that time.

We are a couple of twentysomethings with no kids! DH and I had a good time when we went in January. See if you can get ressies "before park opens" to get a head start on everyone. :teeth:
The waitstaff is very funny here. I was at the buffet and kept on feeling something gently hitting my leg. I asked my DH about it and he looked at me like I was nuts (have you seen hitchhiker's guide??). I thought it was my imagination until finally caught one of the waiters :rotfl: .

If you have a Donald fan in your group, you should definitely try Donald's Breakfastasaurus. My younger son is a huge Donald fan, so we go to Donald's every trip.

The food is pretty good - typical breakfast buffet. Some of our servers have been more fun than others, but we've never had bad service. One of our servers played pranks with fake squirting ketchup, and another one had a dinosaur hand puppet (that server was hilarious :rotfl2: :lmao: ). Other servers haven't interacted much, but still provided good service.

Character interaction isn't as lengthy and relaxed as some other restaurants (Cape May and Garden Grill come to mind) but we've always had all the characters visit our table, they've stayed long enough to interact a little and pose for pictures, and we've had a couple of characters stick around and play a little.
