Lazy Day's RV Founder (Seffner, FL)

You have to see the mansion he is building on Lake Thonotosassa.

Very nice.
I wonder if he would let Denise and I rent a room for vacations ?

Man, that's gonna be a pain in the butt for him to paint when it needs it.

Personally, I'd rather have my trailer.

I know some rich kids and they grew up clueless and unable to cope in this economy. Wonder how his kids will fare?

If this is what he wants, I don't deny the man his McMansion. He fought and clawed his way to where he is now, and made Lazy Days world renowned. This is the perfect time to build any home - regular man's house or McMansion - because you can get the most bang for your buck. Plus - a lot of people are working because of this project. I would love to be the building supply company, architect, or contractor that won the bid for this job! Let's not forget the property taxes this will generate for Hillsborough County.

Would I want this? No, not even if I could afford it. My last home was 3,000+ s.f. - and that - IMHO - was too big for two people. Of course - I had to keep it clean - and that makes all the difference in the world as to how big a house you want! :rotfl2:

You mean his wife isn't going to do the housework???

OK, I will play devil's advocate.... If you read the article, Lazy Dayz laid off 200+ workers and filed for bankruptcy. So I do have a problem with him, one of the primary owners or stockholders of the company, not paying the companies bills, but blowing probably 20+ million on a luxury! So as this guy lives the hi life, we the public get to pay his 200 employees unemployment, and we will end up footing the bill for his bankruptcy as well. :(

Ok off my soapbox now.

We know the company that got the contract on the roof - try (1.5 million ~ dollars...............)

we bought our everest from them in 05 and our sierra from them in 08. I would like to think I paid for at least 1 of his pools.:rotfl2:

I'm thinking the least he should do is invite you over for a swim and a hot dog.

Nope - you had to purchase a qualifying Crown Club Coach. I've bought 2 used & 2 new Class A's from them & didn't qualify for Crown Club. An acquaintance bought 1 very used Holiday Rambler Class A for 1/2 what I paid for one Winnie and qualified for Crown Club membership because H.R. was a Monaco product. Crown Club members can eat steak for free at Lazy Day's very nice & exclusive restaurant. Regular members just get.......

....a hot dog!! Saturday is hot dog day at Lazy Days! Once you purchase an RV from them, you are a lifetime member & can have breakfast and lunch on them Monday thru Saturday and anyone can get a free coffee or soft drink from 8am to 1:30pm every day!! Oh boy!!! :yay::yay:

I agree with ya.

Or at least the steps and handrail.:lmao:

Hot dogs are noses and butt holes...that's what I tell my family when they're eating them.

I really appreciate that. Why do people have to ruin all the good stuff lol.

Toe nails and testicles are the good stuff?:rotfl2: Obviously I'm not a hot dog person, but I do indulge myself once or twice in the fall only if it's covered with chili, onions, and mustard.

You cover your nose and butt hole with chili, onions and mustard in the fall? :confused3 Honestly, I will never understand you East Tennesseans....here in middle TN we just put on a sweater when it gets cold. :rotfl:

Ya know if you smear a little Limburger cheese on that like a spread,, you dont even think about the noses and butt holes.
Mmmmm, Limburger :thumbsup2

We can all feel good about ourselves again. Don Wallace sold control of Lazy Days to a New York investment firm in 2004. So, anything you've purchase in the last 6 years has not profited Mr. Wallace, and you should not expect an invitation to swim in either of his pools.
