Maya got a few pins on our first trip, and by the end of the week was brave enough to trade a couple times. So i decided she needs some to trade and James needs some period. i figured i would aim for about 15 pins. That way both kids could choose a couple to keep home and still have plenty to trade. (and yes, my 2 year old will probably trade. he does everythign his sister does. he thinks he is five also
)
i used the pin thread here to find some recomendations for ebay pin sellers. i picked a couple of sellers and bid on a few pins each seller.
i won one pin each seller. Not such a great deal if you pay shipping on each seller. and of course, each of those sellers has specific timelines for combined shipping and the pins they had listed were after my combined shipping deadlines.
so i went back in for round 2. one of the sellers had a much larger quantity of pins listed so i decided just to bid there. i figured i had won about 10% of the first ones i bid on- so i bumped up my bid max by .10 and bid on 30 pins, hoping to win about 10-12 more
whoops, i now have 28 pins coming my way
and on another note.... dd had an eventful day yesterday. she has been asking me for months... i told her all that is involved and let her watch videos to make sure it is what she wanted... it was her choice... we even went a month or two ago to do it and she backed down last minute... well, she randomly asked me yesterday if she coudl try again and i said sure without hesitation!
before
after
she almost backed out again but the techs had her sit on her hands and they did both ears at once. she cried for a second and then had to call and tell everyone she knew about her beautiful ears! i think she had the best timing because we leave in 7 weeks. so she can pick out her first earrings at Disney!
i have not trimmed James hair yet but i just dont know if it can make it another 7 weeks.
