We need a room for one night before we check into BCV. Can a family of six stay in this room? Do the nurse discounts or starwood points discounts apply? Will our luggage be transferred to BCV? Thanks so much!

Probably 6 people can fit into this room since it has 2 queen size beds which can fit 4 people and 2 on the sleeper sofa. Nurse discount might not apply to room but Starwood points probably would. I highly doubt your luggage would be transferred over to BCV since Dolphin is a Starwood hotel and not a Disney-owned hotel. Even though it occupies land on Disney property, it is not associated with the Disney brand.

You can use the Nurse/Teacher/Government discount. It is roughly $100 more than the cost for the standard room. There is only one bathroom and you can not close off the bed area from the couch/sitting area. The Executive Suite has a close off bedroom and is $149 more than the standard room. There are also some standard rooms called Alcove rooms, but I do not know the price. We are debating paying the extra for our family of five in a premium studio, just to give the older two kids some space.

Yes, your luggage they will transfer your luggage. An executive suite is very nice, we've stayed in that suite a bunch. You can get it with either 1 king or 2 doubles. The living room has a king murphy bed and a sleeper sofa.

On Swan/Dolphin site the professional discount (nurse, teacher, etc) doesn't go until the end of 2010. Will those rates be available the week of the Dec 24-31? Thanks for the replies. Looks like Dolphin will work out nicely for us -- just need to decide on how we will travel from airport to Dolphin.

Does anyone have pictures or floorplans for these suites. I would love to see what they look like. Thank you!!

Just an FYI - in the floorplans linked above, the rooms show the main beds as kings. There are premium studios, alcoves, and executive suites with two double beds in the main sleeping area - you just need to be sure to tell the reservation agent if that is what you want. Also, the executive suite looks like it has two close off bedrooms - the second is an "add on" at an additional price. The rate + $149/nt is for the one close off bedroom and parlor room with sleep sofa.
If you have questions, call Dolphin. I have called four times now, asking about the studio/suite se-ups, prices, etc., they have been very nice and willing to answer my questions. Oh - that reminds me - at the Dolphin, the agent told me all of the premium studios have been recently updated (new wall paper/paint, new carpet, new bedding, flat screen tvs). Don't know if that is important to you. I am still leaning towards the studio.
