Dolphin - Govt rate for Fall 2004

Called to make reservations for November 2004 at the Dolphin, in the hopes of getting their discounted govt/teacher rate.

They stated that these rates are not available yet.

Does anyone know how far in advance the discount rates become available?

I would try calling again to speak to another CM. I booked our Dolphin government rate in July '03 for our stay in June '04. I thought that you could book a room (even with a discount) 14 months in advance.

I booked teacher's rate (same as government) for New Year's trip this year in August for the Swan.

BWV4, I agree with the others that you should call back.

I played around with the Dreams Unlimited site for the Dolphin, here:

I was able to get the discount pricing to show up for Nov of 2004.

I have booked stays at WDW with Dreams Unlimited and been very happy with their service. Whether or not you book with them, you can look at that link to see that discounts are available for booking in November.

Just my luck - Called the Dolphin again today and had a nice CM that told me- Gov't rate is available during all other weekends in November but that weekend in particular(11/11-11/15) is blocked out.

She said that the hotel must be anticipating a high occupancy rate that weekend and are not offering gov't or teacher discounts.

I guess I'll keep checking back to see if the "blackout" is lifted sometime in the future.
