I was looking for excursion info for Hilton Head for our upcoming trip this weekend. I am really interested in seeing the dolphins. But I was wondering if I would make out better going with an off site company or going direct with Disney on this? Looking to save some money if possible.

We have done the kayak tour through Disney and saw many dolphin up close ( 8-10 ft from kayak) this is cheaper than doing the boat, I believe it was around 100- 125 for us 4, but you do get wet. You can sign up when you get there because they do fill up. Word of warning, once you sign up you cannot get your money back if you change your mind or can't go. Outside hilton head is right there in shelter cove with boats that go out on dolphin cruises, this is a bit more $$ though.
We did find Capt mark dolphin cruises that's a bigger boat that also goes out of the harbor for I think 18 a person. Check the website I think they do advance reservations now.

The on site experience offered is great. Small boat limited to six people so very intimate feel.
