Dolphin Encounter help, please!

We are leaving Sunday on the Wonder and my daughter wants to do a dolphin encounter. I was under the impression that there are 2 types of encounters- one where you actually swim with the dolphins and the other where you are in knee/waist deep water and pet the dolphins and have them do tricks. My daughter wants to do the second one where you do not actually swim with them. I am being told that there is only one option and it is a 4-5 hour trip for 114.00. I thought the encounter was shorter than thatand less expensive. Is there a way I can book this trip directly without going through DCL? Or was I reading someones post wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

I believe regardless of how you book, the duration of the time on Blue Lagoon will be the same. The first boat leaves from Nassau at about 9:00 and I believe the first boat leaving BL going back to Nassau is at 2:00.

As far as the pricing - I think the $114 is the adult price - DS (7) did the encounter through disney and that price was $88.00.

You can see the cost to book it through them and what each program is.

If you book through them directly - bring your reservation letter when you go then go to the boat right off the the Disney boat with the people who booked through Disney. And that is it.

Only problem - if weather prohibits the ship from docking in Nassau - then I don't believe there will be a refund.

We booked through the Dolphin swim directly twice and it was great. We did the swim once and the encounter once.

What an experience.
