Dollywood Help!!

I know that others said that the Grand Hotel was run down, but we stayed there two years ago and really enjoyed it. We thought it was very nice. We've also stayed at the Red Roof Inn and loved it.

Long time Dollywood Season Pass Holder here too. We are going back in a few weeks actually.

Hampton Inn by the River in Pigeon Forge was nice the last time we stayed. There is a new Econo Lodge that looks nice as well but I haven't stayed there. Main Stay Suites is wonderful as well.

We just got back from Dollywood last week and we had so much fun, even though it rained most of the day. There were so many shows, it was great. If you plan on going back for 2 days or anymore this year (CHristmas is amazing there) it is best to get a season pass. If you do get a season pass, make sure one is gold - that gives you free parking and 20% off all food and other purchases in the park - ours paid for itself in the one day there.
If you have little ones, Boyds has a huge store in PF (4 floors) - you can make you own stuffed animal or "adopt" one. Last year we made our own. This year my 5 year old "adopted" - it was so much fun. She picked out her bear from the nursery and made matching bracelets for her and her bear and then they took her picture with the bear. She has had it since Feb and plays with it everyday and brings it everywear. It was a little pricey, but they took an expired coupon I had gotten from a broshure for 25% off. They also have a great restaurant there.

Wow so many great responses and opinions. Thank you all so much. I do really appreciate the help because we are only going for a few days so time will be limited and I would really like to make the most of it while we are there. Now I guess I need to sit down with DH and go over all the posts and suggestions and decide on a place to stay and get it booked. Please if you have any more ideas on ways to save time or ideas let me
know.

Hi, Melissa. We are also going to be in PF for 3 nights in June (11-14). What days will you be there? We stay at the Music Road Inn. It is really great. The pool area is wonderful, they have a nice free breakfast and the rooms are beautiful and very large. Also, most have a refrigerator and microwave, so we take sandwich stuff for lunch if we are swimming most of the day. We do not like their snack bar for lunches. It is also a very good location. Music Road Hotel is right next door, and they are set up the same way. Hope you have fun!

Oh, and I would also like to suggest you try dinner at the Old Mill Restuarant or the Apple Barn. Yummy!
