Doing water parks

Does anyone go to the water parks with just clothes/towel/flip flops? I do not want to pay to rent a locker.

I have luggage locks for my room to keep my phone, camera, and money safe.

Has anyone gone to the parks with just a cheap pair of flip flops and their clothes? Not a big deal if my dollar store flip flops get stollen. And if I have a modest swimsuit (tankini) do I have to wear something overtop?

I assume I can ask a cast member for the time.

I've done it a zillion times with only my swim stuff (towel, goggles, sunscreen) and toiletries to shower after, along with my car keys which I stuff in a pocket of my clothes and roll up inside a plastic grocery bag. I leave the phone & wallet in the car. Never had an issue. I presume your question though is on the bus do you need to be wearing more? I've definitely seen people in just a swimsuit and towel on the WP buses or waiting for them so I'd think you'd just need some kind of shoes.

That's exactly what I was asking! Very helpful. Thank you!

Keep in mind though that they recently changed the water park buses so you have to transfer sometimes at Disney Springs (or somewhere else I think) - haven't been since they made the change but if you wouldn't feel comfortable standing around DS in what you are wearing you might want some kind of cover-up.

Edited to add a link - looks like DS or AK:

I haven't been since magic bands, but I'm thinking the magic bands would also make it easy since you don't even need to carry money.

We go light to the waterparks, even renting towels! We wear our suits and cover ups, flip flops, sunglasses (cheap ones, not our good ones), and take a small bag with sunscreen and maybe some cash. We do what the PP stated-roll it all up in someone's shirt and leave tucked under our towels on our chairs. We LOVE the waterparks and hit both on our longer summer trips. Have a great time!!

I was there last fall and never got a locker. We had a bag for all of our "valuables" and even felt safe enough to wrap them up and both leave (we're a couple with no kids) to go into the wave pool, slides etc for a good amount of time.

We wore clothes over our bathing suits and then took them off in the general changing rooms once there. My wife wanted to change out of her wet bathing suit afterwards but I think mine was dry by the end of the day and I didn't need to.

Thank you everyone for your helpful answers! I guess I don't have to worry about my dollar store flip flops getting stollen. On my way to my resort now!! Day 1!!

Yup! We leave our phones locked in the hotel safe & enjoy the day relaxing disconnected from the world!
