Doing the WET Documents drying... Thanks USPS!

We've been on DCL twice and used TA's twice. Our docs came by USPS and were left once on the door step and once inside the door on the floor of our entry way. It is very common where we live to find packages hanging from your mail box and boxes left outside in the rain and snow. Because of this DH usually has packages delivered to his office.

I didn't mean to sound harsh earlier (especially to a fellow 9/4 cruiser). I understand in rereading your post that you needed to call DCL about document replacement. Hope everything works out well and look forward to seeing you on the cruise.

I have a mailbox on a post near the curb at the end of my driveway. Literally almost every day when I get home, the mailbox door is wide open. When it rains, everything gets wet. I have left a note for the carrier to please make sure the door is shut and rec'd a note back saying she shut it.....but funny thing is when we shut it on sat...it stays shut until the next time we get mail. We have called the post office to complain but have gotten nowhere. We constantly get our neighbor's mail, and I'm sure they get ours as well. I now have to mail all bills from work as I had some bills never arrive. I really don't know if our carrier does this on purpose or is just negligent. It seems to happen more often when someone parks a car on the street...like she's mad she has to drive around it. Weird. Don't like it at all. Plan to move in a year or two so hopefully we'll get someone better next time around.

Hey NP ;) I just wanted to share my story. And from the looks of it appears others have stories as well. The Doc's dried ok "warped" but ok :D . I must say this is better than:

DCL uses FedEx, TAs use whatever. We had one who used Airborne Express. They left the docs on the front porch--not even inside the unlocked screen door. A neighborhood dog ate them!!!
I prob would have been freaking out if this was the case. Running around the neighborhood... ::yes:: Just to find him, and ask him how they tasted. :teeth:

They probably taste like shrimp and mango soup.

FYI, the USPS and FedEx no longer have any links with each other. That contract ended a little while ago.

Disney has been using USPS. Most TA's have to use FedEx for a quickie delivery because they have held on to them till the last minute.

To get the correct mail in your box, post inside of your mailbox the names of those receiving mail to your box and place the words "ONLY" boldly under your names.
If you have a plastic mail box, ask your carrier to burp your box after closing the door. Pressure builds up in the box and pops the door open.
Try giving your Postal person a nice Christmas gift, a great way for them to remember you and getting the correct mail in your box.
