First, I want to thank everyone on these boards :worship: A month ago when we first started planning this trip I did not even know what an ADR was :confused3 But thanks to all you knowlegeable people I made my ADRs this morning and got ALL my first choices:banana: How did I do? Did I pass the Disboards initiation

Oct 18 Arrival Day 5:40 pm 50's Prime Time Cafe
Oct 19 5:00 pm O'Hana's
Oct 20 8:10 am ....Drum Roll Please.... :cheer2: CRT!!!! The kids are thrilled!!!
Oct 21 5:10 pm Crystal Palace - to be followed by MNSSHP
Oct 22 5:00 pm 1900 Fare
Oct 23 5:30 pm California Grill
Oct 24 5:00 pm Coral Reef

I was going to make ressies for the California Grill or O'Hana's for fireworks viewing but the kids are 6 and 8 and when the 6 year old gets tired she goes into total -go-directly-to-meltdown-you-couldn't-turn-back-if-you-wanted-to mode. So I thought it better to enjoy our meals and see the fireworks at the park. My thinking is perhaps Sunday the 18th for Wishes and if that doesn't pan out then Wednesday (but because of MNSSHP this will be our last opportunity for Wishes). I am shooting for Monday for Fantasmic - morning at MK, back to the hotel (GF) for rest and a late lunch then head over to DS for Fantasmic. From what I have been reading we should be getting our seats about 2 hours before Fantasmic is this right?

Again, I want to thank everyone for their help :flower3: When I first logged on to this board I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed and could not imagine that I would ever "get it". but thanks to all of you the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together and I am beginning to be able to actually plan things that sort of make sense. For example, originally I wanted to do CRT on Wed but then realized that after the late night of MNSSHP that it would be a disaster - talk about a meltdown!!! So I planned for an easy day the day after MNSSHP and dinner at our hotel. It is the little things like this that I have been able to pick up on this board that will make the difference between a good trip and the Trip of a Lifetime because I have no idea when we will be back. Thanks again.

Our schedules are very similar!

Oct 18 - Arrival Day (staying at the Poly)
Oct 20 - We'll be at MK too - we weren't going to do CRT but then DD (10) mentioned that maybe we should - we realized she had outgrown it last time we went but I think she wants to go for my sake. :lovestruc But, I forgot the whole 180+10 day thing and missed the boat! By the time my brain decided to work it was 11am and the early times were gone. They had later times but I like the early seatings. You are going to LOVE the 8:10am seating - you and your family can walk down an empty Main Street! And maybe you can get to Tinkerbell's Treasures and wake Tinkerbell. We got to do that a few years ago after our 8:05am ADR.
Oct 21 - We'll be at MNSSHP too

We are eating at California Grill (Dinner-Oct 22) and Coral Reef (Lunch-Oct 20) too.

Well "Hey it's Me" I feel good knowing that I have a similar schedule to a Disney Vet like you ;) Have you ever done MNSSHP before?

Cool stuff! Are you planning to see Fantasmic on your first night? Seems like you've timed it right if everyone can stay awake.

Word of advice: if you want to see characters at the DHS on Day 1 try to do so before dinner. We were very disappointed to find they were pretty much gone by 6pm. (nephew had his heart set on seeing Lightning McQueen). Same is true for the Beauty and the Beast show.

Have a great week!

I too am new to these boards and I can't get the hang of it. I see my post, but I'm not sure if anyone else does. I'm not getting any feedback. I'm sure its something I'm doing.

Do you have a question?

well i had a list of restaurants we had reservations for and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a counter service in the Animal Kingdom.

I can't find your list posted so I cannot offer any feed back. Create a new post with the list and give us another chance to respond.

We ate CS at our resort before heading to AK, had ice cream treats in the park then dinner at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, so I can't make any inside the park CS options. I can recommend Boma, it was excellent with many, many choices.

I would love to go to Fantasmic but I from what I have read on these boards people get seats about 2 hours before it starts. Our ressie is for 5:40 - do you think we will have enough time for the later show - assuming everyone can stay awake!!!

Hi! Yes we have - - first time was in 2003. Then we went twice in 2004 and twice in 2006. We are only planning on attending once this trip. I love how the park is decorated and lit. It's alot of fun!! The Trick or Treat lines can get kinda crazy - - there was one that we couldn't find the end of because it went on and on and just blended into the crowd! I'm not a big parade person the the Boo to You parade is neat and you gotta make sure to catch a glimpse of the Headless Horseman.

We've worn costumes before but I think I'm just going to do the Halloween t-shirt route this time. It seems like every costume I've had is either too itchy, too uncomfortable, too hot/cold, etc.

We are all excited about MNSSHP. My nieces (ages 6 & 8) have princess costumes. I think we are going to bring a change of clothes for them - just in case. I will have to keep my eyes out for some cute Halloween T-shirts for everybody!!!

I absolutely think you'll have time. You'll probably be done with dinner between 7 and 7:30 there is a second show at 8:30 that night and I hear those are generally easy enough to get into, so I'd plan on it w/o rushing through dinner. First show is at 7pm, if you finish early you could take a chance, but I wouldn't get indegestion!
