I'm shocked that Crab Cake Boy didn't get the gateau of crab! I'm surprised Mary and JoJo didn't look at you like you had two heads.

Everything looked fabulous. It's been a few years since I had eaten there, but it's good to know the food and service area still great. While I don't think Citrico's is stuffy, I do think it's a bit more sophisticated than someplace like Kona Cafe.

It's hard to live up to romance when Vicki and Al's Diner is right next door, right?

Pop Century Pizza, Late Night Snack, 09-24-08
Ok, this will be a quick review of some Pop Century Pizza and late night dessert!

We had an earlier than normal dinner on this night, so that we could make it back to the resort for the Lime Lights DIS meet.... and since JoJo & I shared our meal for dinner at Citricos, this gave us 2 extra credits, and Amanda was now feeling better. What better time to get some of that cheesecake and the favorite cheesy snack.. pizza!

The meet was over and it was pretty late, close to midnight. I decided that we should just get it ourselves from the counter instead of having it delivered. We ended up being the last pizza made for the night. So off we went headed thru the resort on the way back to our room with food in hand and brightly decorated with about 20 lime green glow sticks and necklaces.



The Pizza
16 Inch Pizza - Pepperoni $15.38
Sure I have had better pizza in my life, but I have most definitely had much nastier than this too! We liked the pizza just fine, I found it to be just a bit above your average pepperoni pizza. It was definitely large enough in size, it was cooked just fine (not burnt or undercooked, and no big air bubbles in the crust), and there was enough cheese and pepperoni on it to satisfy!

The Dessert
Tie-Dyed Cheesecake - Tie-Dyed Cheesecake - $3.59
The cheesecake was wonderful, but be warned your mouth and teeth will turn various colors after eating this stuff, a tooth brushing was most certainly in order. The crust to this cheesecake is made of cake instead of your typical graham cracker, it helped make it more unique than just the colors. We liked it lots and got it again for a snack on another night.

The Beverages

Service
This was our first time eating anything from the Pop food court. I found the CM's here to all be very nice and fun. The service was also very quick.


Atmosphere
What else can I say... hotel room, Pajamas, Movie on the television.


Food
Better than what we actually expected and we wouldn't hesitate to order it again.


Overall
A great late night meal... good service, decent food, and relaxed in our room!

We've had many meals at Pop Century, and aside from one or two items we didn't care for due to personal taste, and one incident of under done chicken (out of many orders of chicken), we have been very satisfied with their food.

As a general rule I try to stay away from Disney pizza of any kind, as I'm a pizza snob. But I broke my own rule by making a microwave pizza in my villa a few hours before going to Party for the Senses. The carrots and celery I had at AK that day weren't enough to keep me satisfied yet hungry. Hmm, I should have posted that in my report but didn't.

I've been enjoying your TR on the down low, but had to come out of lurkdom for the tie dyed cheesecake. Even when we're not staying at Pop, we have to get there at least once each trip just for the tie dyed cheesecake (and the requisite photo of the tongue!). It is delicious, and I'm not a cheesecake fan--I guess I like the "cake" more than the "cheese."

Just a warning for those who haven't tried it--the colors, ahem, come out as vibrant as they went in. Every year, my dh thinks he dying of some terrible disease until I remind him, "tie dyed cheesecake?!?" Oh yeah. . . .

I also love Pop'sfood court My fav is the Chicken Alfredo with breadstix . I used to love the Twinkie Tiramusu but they don't have that any more soo now TyeDye is my fav.. Had to bring one home for DD who is a huge fan of it !!

I make pizza from scratch at home including the crust, so I understand the pizza snob! We were happy though cause we were half expecting a nasty version of frozen pizza.

I will be skipping the counter service lunch at Blizzard Beach for the moment and move on to California Grill. I will come back to the waterpark shortly. My goal is to finish up with all the reviews by the 20th of this month....

That way I don't leave you all hangin any longer and I will have them finished before company for the holiday shows up!

Speaking of holidays, I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that all of you are blessed with many things to be thankful for! My oldest daughter came home from college for the night and we had a nice small family meal, put up our Christmas Tree and decorations, and spent the rest of the day playing games. I couldn't have asked for a better day to be more thankful for!

And then came Friday morning shopping.....LOL we were up at 4am and off to the store, got a few good deals and had some good dad & daughter shopping moments!
