We are in a slightly different boat, in that we're expecting our 2nd adopted child within a 3 to 9 month time frame (This is what we're being told by the agency. But, don't know exactly when yet and it could be years instead of months, the way adoption works). We have had a late September/early October trip planned for about 6 months now, which falls right in that 3-9 month window. Going with DH, DS(3), my brother and his girlfriend, my parents and in-laws. So, it's a big trip. This whole time, my only worry on the timing of our adoption has been how it could affect our Disney trip!
Obviously I'm a worrier because the chances of us having the baby by September are slim (We've been through this whole process with our 1st and know that it's usually longer than they say.). But, what if I have a 1 month old! I guess I have the advantage of not worrying about recovery time after birth. But, there is everything else to worry about! When we first started this adoption, I called Disney right away to see what would happen if we had to reschedule our trip at the last minute. They said that we could cancel up till the day before with no penalty (IF we're just rescheduling and not cancelling) AND our new dates cost more than our current dates. If our new dates cost less, then there's a $50 change fee.
