Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

Hi Guys

Sorry for being MIA, but as Dave says we have been having more problems with the wedding and its just really stressful right now, not to mention we have been two people down at work as well for the past two weeks which hasn't helped either.

But things are looking up, won't keep you in too much suspense, but my lovely fiancee came up with the brilliant idea of getting married in Lake Garda, Italy. He showed me an amazing venue for the ceremony and a lovely restaurant for the reception which is family run and right on the lake.

We are meeting with our wedding planner tonight to discuss options and once those are down I will post some pics of the place.

We are also hoping to go for a mini vacation next month, if possible, there to check it out. Me and my dad discussed possibly driving all the way and taking the scenic route, but complications with my mum's work has kinda of thrown a spanner in those works. So we might end up flying, but either way it will be awesome as we have never been to Italy and Lake Garda looks absolutely gorgeous

I also promise an update on the PTR too as I was going to update weekend just gone, but things got too hectic so...

On the plus side, Disneyfoodblog has posted the menus for the F&W booths which I am going to eagerly check out and see what we are going to try

Well we are going to fly now, just decided that with dad. I said that I still want to do the drive because I was so excited about it yesterday, so it may be on the cards for next year

It would be awesome if we could meet

When we were doing the Auto route it took us through France, Germany and Switzerland. Not sure what part of Germany though, but I am sure we could figure something out as we would go for a lot longer next year to pace out the driving

Just catching up and you have me on a roller coaster with the venues! I'm sure that's how you've felt! But as soon as I read "Italy," I actually gasped! That sounds just wonderful! A friend of mine was having a lot of trouble with her wedding and decided just to go and get married in Jamaica, so that's what they are doing! Keep us updated and I am praying that this works out for you!

Thanx The wedding planner is going to get things started today contacting agents/companies that do package weddings so fingers crossed we can get something down by next week

Any excuse to go travelling The place is just beautiful and I promise I will post some pics that sold me on the idea and lots more when we come back from our trip next month.

Hey Guys

How are we all doing? Hope your Saturday is getting off to a good start.

I have been catching up on the Dis this morning, am so behind on my threads.

We are off out shortly so am posting a quick update.

So as you know, how wedding venue has changed (yet again!) and I have found some pictures off the net for you to get an idea of how gorgeous this place is. Just to tide you over until we next month

This is the venue, its called Malcesine Castle and it was built in 568 ad

The ceremony would take place ontop of the tower

This is the hotel

and the restaurant where we would like to have the reception

The restaurant is family owned and the guy that owns it apparently goes all out and can provide you with this, amongst other special things too

So thats the venue, what do you guys think?

I have sent my planner some links to companies that do Italian Wedding Packages and he should have contacted them yesterday, but Dave found one which quoted a price and its not bad, alot cheaper than if we were to get married over here.

We are thinking that we might get married at the beginning of September and then a few weeks later go on honeymoon. That way we don't have to wait too long and we get an extra few months to save to pay for the wedding Hopefully we can get the dates we want, but we haven't narrowed down a specific one.

We just booked the Wishes Dessert Party for October 10th, the day after Dave's birthday so I am off the hook getting him a cake now

Am very excited as I have been waiting for them to extend beyond August for a while now. Can't wait to eat all the delicious desserts that they have to offer

Thank you I am hoping it will be an intimate affair with just my parents and maybe a friend from work that I have become good friends with and her husband. Dave is still deciding on who he would like there.

Oh wonderful!!

We had a VERY rainy night for our dessert party but it was nice to sit and have coffee and be under cover! We had a great table because we are 2 and I think they put parties of 2 in the front!

There was also a photopass photographer there!
