I just saw this on the Disney site, say it ain't so?
Universal allows Florida residents to purchase for their families (or they never check/ask/mention it)

What are you trying to say.. confused.. here... :confused3
I just went over a few things, and I guess it is true, that you can't buy families (that are out of state) florida discount tickets. Oh well, there goes Disney's money :confused3

oh. that sucks. why couldn't you just like put there address or whatever as yours? it is not like you have to give a SS number or anything if you are buying it. then they could just write you a check or something

Unless you are talking about something different. i am sorry i get totally confused easily lol

I'm pretty sure you have to present a valid FL ID to buy the tix, and I think they would limit it to one per person. I don't understand though, what about kids w/o IDs? :confused3

Hmn. I am not sure then. sorry and that is confusing about kids w/o id's I think it is probably they go by there parents.. hmn i am not sure..

Does anyone know where would be good to look for "discounted" tickets?
Where have you purchased from?

You have to show a Florida ID for each Florida ticket purchased. When bought online, they mail you vouchers, which you redeem at WDW, with your Florida ID's. After you have your Florida tickets, you may need to show ID at the gate, not usually, but occasionaly they ask. And they also do the biometric scans for the FL tickets as well.

Nope--can't by tickets for non-residents.

And to suggest ways around it---I believe has been tackled on the DIS before....and has repeatedly been one of those taboo how to get around the system topics.

No you do not have to provide a background check--but it is a perk for Florida Residents.
