About a month ago, or so, on a Saturday evening, we looked over at Charley and one pupil was **wayyy** small. Way small. And in a dim lit evening living room, it wasn't right.

So, I googled. STROKE! Get your dog to the vet ASAP.

And we did. The emergency vet. They did lot's of test, including a snazzy $75 eye pressure test. Total Bill - $233. BUT, no real answer. Perhaps an infection.

By the next day, he was better - but we continued the meds. Talked to our vet. Thought all was well.

This has happened now - 3 more times. But again, by the next morning, he was good again. And as a side note - during these creepy pupil events, he can see just fine.

Now about 2 months ago, (a month prior to first time) my husband was messing around with him on the floor. They were wrestling, and fooling around, Charley ran behind him, my husband went to grab him again and *really* knocked him in that eye, with his elbow. He didn't yelp or anything, continued playing, actually - but my husband's elbow hurt - that's how hard he popped him. :guilty:

The following day, his eye was kinda puffy. I said if he was a human, he would have totally had a black eye. But again, it went down, and seemed alright.

We have an appointment with our Vet - but anyone have any idea's? Could this still be caused from the abuse my husband did to him? ;)

If I google, I come up with a continual small pupil - but not a coming and going one??

Not really sure but we have recently had doggie eye problems too. I took our Shih tzu to 2 ER hospitals in the middle of the night and the regular vets had said that there was a good chance that he may loose his eye. Well, I was devastated since I thought it was a problem that could have been avoided by me...

The ophthalmologist saw him the next day and was able to prescribe meds, etc to save the eye (he is blind in that eye though)...long story short, if you are really concerned and do not get the answers you think are correct from a regular vet, see a specialist.

Wishing your furbaby the best.
