Dog licking plate???

I've also seen people allow their cats to walk all over their kitchen counters; kitchen table; drink out of cereal bowls; etc.. So I would say, yes - there are people who think it's okay..

"Mr. Boots for the last time stay out of the butter"...:rotfl:

I love my dog and kitten, but there is NO way they are going near the plates, I know what they lick. The whole "dog's mouth is clean" thing isn't necessarily true as there are other sources that reveal that a dog's mouth isn't necessarily sanitary.

I think it is gross. I also would think it was gross if the homeowners were licking their plate so I don't discriminate.:laughing: I try to block things like that out when I eat somewhere. I don't usually like to eat at cat houses though. The thought of the cats walking on the counter skeeves me out. The fur is flying, their paws (feet) are all over the counter and if they sit on the counter then their naked butt is on the counter and animals don't even wipe. Not that it would make much difference because I wouldn't want a wiped human butt up on a counter but that's a whole different topic.:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: at the human butt!!!!

And cats can be very easily trained to not get on a counter. I didn't let my dog up there, why would I let them? And to go off on a completely different topic-ABSOLUTELY NO PURSES on the counter!!! :scared1:

Actually my cat Autumn rarely sits on the naked counter. She will sit on a piece of paper on the counter instead, she's weird like that. She's a tiny cat and once day I found her sitting in a ball cap that was left on the bar.

Most, but not all...we tried with Autumn. We tried ALL the tricks to keep her off, then we gave up because it just wasn't worth the hassle. :confused3

Besides, even cats that are "trained" to stay off the counter are really only trained to stay off when you are around! ;)

The cats aren't around when I am cooking or eating but if the cat wants to sit on a newspaper on my counter during the day, I don't care.

My dog eats off plates. They get washed, so I don't see what the big deal is. He's not a mangy stray with fleas and who knows what diseases.

He's a spoiled rotten house dog who gets a lot of people food because he is allergic to dog food. :rolleyes:
