PLEASE....If any one is using anything by this company, please stop.
I was using Diamond dog food. I bought a 40lb bag of dog food about 2 weeks before the recall. I noticed that my dogs (all pugs) seemed off. Draco the worst. He just wasnt right. Nothing that warrented a vet visit, but the food was definatly the reason, as it started after the new bag of food. The only difference in the food is I normally got the Lamb and Rice formula, this time I bought the Maintence formula. So as an experiment, I changed foods. I went and bought a 20lb bag of Purina One Lamb and Rice w/yogurt. Issues cleared. No more poops. No more acting weird.
Then the recall. Dogs were getting seriously ill and dying. I didnt have my bag any longer, so there was nothing for me to do. While I do not believe I had the full effects of the toxins, I thinks there was a VERY good chance my babies may have received some tainted food nonetheless. Diamond has contacted me and asked how my dogs are. I told them they are better now that they are on a food that wont kill them. I asked for a refund on the food, and they told me no, as I dont have the bag. I just had 35lbs of food to throw away.
Sorry to run on like this, but just wanted to let you know of 5 little fur babies that were affected by this, but all of them are better now...
