Dog Bully Sticks for Really Cheap

I'm 99% certain you will receive one, not a box of 25.

If this were Amazon directly and you only ordered one, they'd refund your money and let you keep the item when you contact them with your complaint. But this is a third party through Amazon. So, they'll probably offer a refund after you ship the item back. This type of mistake is just a huge headache. You will not come out ahead.

Also, a "bully stick" is not rawhide. It's made from a very specific muscle that only bulls (males) have.

I sell as a third party through Amazon, and they control enough of the transaction that I'd feel pretty comfortable that any issues with this order would be handled much as a normal Amazon order would.

I guess that we'll see what happens. I hope that people report back when their packages arrive so that we know what happened. I still think that you are wrong about how Amazon would handle refunds/returns on such a low-value item.

And thank you for the anatomy lesson. I know what a bully stick is. However, it is still a chew treat and it still has to be processed before it can be sold. It's the processing method that I find suspect in a lot of foreign factories.

Have to agree with how you feel. I see treats in so many stores but if it's not US made I personally wouldn't give my dogs these. For the ones that are buying, I hope it all works out for you and your dogs.

NOPE! I don't care how cheap it is, there is no way I'd feed these to my pup. If they aren't made in the USA they aren't safe.

I purchased 6. We will see what happens. I have purchased these in the past and I know my dog loves them.

Would you mind sharing how you do this?:)
It's not complicated. Just slice sweet potatoes thinly (¼" in less) lengthwise. Leave the skin on. Place on a wire rack over a baking sheet. Place in a cool oven (250º) and bake until dehydrated for 3 hours or more depending on how crunchy you want them, turning if necessary. I store them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator and don't keep them longer than a week. Not that they last longer than that with my two!

Thanks! Cheap, easy, and natural. I'll give it a try.:)

I ordered them my Labs seem to be able to eat almost anything without any problems.

So I just googled "what are bully sticks made of."

Answer: Bull "boy parts"

Thank you I was going to ask if no one else did. My dog loves the pumkin peanut butter cookies that I found on a thread here over a year ago.

I received an email from Petco (third party seller) that they are currently in the process of canceling orders. They said the description was wrong, that it should have read 1 bull spring, not 1 box of 25.

This isn't a surprise. What I'm surprised about is how many people jump on it when they seem to know it was an error.
And I'm also surprised about how many people will jump on a cheap treat for their beloved dog not knowing what country the product was made in, how it was processed, what the expiration date was, etc.

It is my understanding that something made in the USA can still have ingredients that are not sourced in the USA. It is very hard (and expensive) to find products that have no ingredients that come from other countries.

I'm careful with my current dog since my last one got very sick from some foreign treats and was bleeding from his rectum, was vomiting and had diarrhea for days. But rawhides are very hard to find made in the US. You can get small treats that are domestic but the rawhides (which is the only thing that takes my huge dog more than 10 seconds to eat) are far and few between. Target has a line (but they also sell the foreign ones so read the labels) but the last ones I bought from them crumbled into dust and tiny sharp pieces, so I imagine they were old.

It depends how it's stated. An unqualified "Made in the USA" claim means that all parts are domestically produced. They are required to be more specific if parts are sourced internationally, such as "Assembled I the USA" or "Made in the USA with 60% foreign content."

Interesting.

And yet Amazon still has the listing worded as a 25-pack for $3.59 + shipping. You would think that someone at Petco would have clued them in by now.

I won't buy anything for pets that is not from in the USA. Too many unfortunate pets have suffered and died from pet treats not made in the USA.
