Does your trip start when you leave home or when you arrive?

For me, it starts when were at the airport, after we have checked in and passed the security screening. Its smooth sailing after that.

We're drivers from central IL and so the trip down is almost always an adventure as you can imagine. I'd say it starts the minute you get in the car. ;)

Mine starts BEFORE I even leave LOL!!!

I brainwash myself with Disney movies and old Disney trip home videos about a month before departure.

I love getting psyched up for Disney.

My DH and I both agree, our vacation starts the minute we leave work on that final day.

Example: We have reservation at FW 10/29-11/5. My vacation starts 10/27 at 3:30pm, DH 10/27 at 4:30pm

I think it's a freedom thing with us.

:tinker:

My trip starts before I leave my house. With the planning, packing, countdown, etc. It really starts though when I leave my home to go to the airport. Waiting to board that plane to Orlando gets me all excited and, of course, I have to listen to music from Disney World on the plane ride down. The excitement just keeps building when I land @ MCO and, now don't laugh, but I always get choked up and get a tear of happiness in my eyes when I see the big sign you drive under that says "WALT DISNEY WORLD"!!!!!!!

We think of our vacation starting as soon as we get off work. Thats how our phone countdowns are set up. Having never been to WDW before this will be a great adventure for us and we spend hours reading the postings for the boards. Can't wait.

When we leave all of our responsibilities behind us! (Well, except the ones that we're taking with us. lol. See siggie.)

Ours will start for sure when we leave our house for the airport. We are suprising the kids with a limo pickup (heck this whole trip is a suprise but we will tell them we are going to Disney the night before) and they will LOVE that!

My DW is the same way! She tears up just driving under the WDW entrance sign! :lovestruc

Mine begins as soon as I leave work before vacation!

For our family the vacation starts when we walk out the door. We have flown to WDW many times, but I think we have the best time when we drive. :drive: We had the option to fly this upcoming trip in Sept., but the family all agreed, they wanted to drive! I know it sounds crazy everyone cramped together in a van for 16 hours but there is just something about it! We talk, sing songs, play Disney music and fun car games like "License Plate Bingo". I just love spending time with my DW & DKIDS. :hyper:

Now, growing up...thats a whole different story! My father and my grandparents, their vacations didn't start until we got there. Driving as fast as they can :car: to get there...stressing the entire way! :scared: I hated it, but I can understand why some people do that. So my questions is what kind of vacationers are you? :listen:
My holiday starts when i shut my front door even if i stay at a hotel near the airport the nite before it starts then :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Ours starts when we walk out the front door.....this year will be December 22nd, we drive to Milwaukee and spend the night before flying out December 23rd!! We can't wait!!

The minute we walk out the door which is usually about 5am because we always take a flight that leaves about 6:30 or 7 and we only live a few minutes from the airport. I really need another vacation now but it looks like I have to wait until April.

When I leave the office! I have the CD in the truck ready to go for the ride home-used to be Illuminations, now it's Wishes!!
