Does your husband call you by your first name or does he use a term of endearment?

He always calls me by my first name BUT when referring to me, he says "SweetPea" ... :lovestruc (We will be married 30 years the end of this month.)

Now my Mom, her maiden name is O'Brien and my dad has called her "O'Bie" our entire life!!! :thumbsup2

We call each other hon or honey and it's soooo weird when we call each other by name, which we only do in front of friends/family. We also sometimes call each other "pants" and I, for the life of me, can't remember why!

He calls me a shortened version of my first name, that only my really close friends and family do (my name is Laurie, he calls me 'Lau'). I can't remember the last time he used my whole first name. Otherwise, he calls me Sweets.

My first name begins with the letter B so he usually calls me by my first name, or calls me "B".

However, if I've done something that he's not happy about... I've heard him mutter some other names under his breath.:scared:

Mostly uses my name. We love each other dearly, but we are not cutsie.

He calls me "Bean" or "My Friend". We call each other "My Friend" more than anything and I never really thought about how nice it was until people commented on it. We're absolutely best friends first, and it's just what we say. He rarely calls me "Erin".

He calls me Mare or hon. If he calls me "MaryAnn" I know I've done something wrong, like not recording a check. ;)

Not hubby buy BF calls me Matilda when he is being frisky. Don't have
clue how it started.

DH and I have a lot of names of endearment and different forms of our names that we call each other. Each one has a purpose, too, kind of like our own language after so many years of being married.

For example, when he calls me "cupcake" I'm really not being endearing to him, he's being rather sarcastic. When he calls me "peach", I'm being clumsy (got that from Caddyshack, when Mr. Havacamp tells Mrs. Havacamp "That's a peach, hon!"):flower3:

He calls me Baby.

I call him Honey. Unless he's decided to call me his OTHER nickname for me. In which case I call him my other nickname for him "I'll SHOW YOU "T-REX ARMS" YOU @#$%!$@#$#@#@" :lmao:

I only get called 'Cathryn' when he's mad at me.

He callls me Jen, and now all his family does, too. Which is funny, because until I met him, nobody EVER called me Jen. It was always Jenny or Jennifer. I like when he uses that name, but his family using it bugs me for some reason.

Other times he calls me Bump or Pook.

I honestly can't remember the last time my husband called me by my name.

Ditto. Usually it's either a pet name or no name at all, just "Thanks" or "Would you mind getting me a glass of water?" No name involved at all.

Rarely my name, it's either Cotton or Baby but not too often my name. My nick names have changed a bit over 20 years but baby seems to have stayed the longest but I like cotton the most.

I get the standard Sweetie.

We also have other name-calling type pet names for one another. I get called Stinky-Butt, Stupid LLama-Face (from the emperors new groove, we loved the movie when first dating), Fluffy, Super Spazz, Grace (when clumsy).

I usually call him Bubby or Boy.

I have also called him: Butt-face, Stupid llama-face (an ongoing play argument is which of us this name actually belongs to), Captain Obvious, Fuzzy

I'm sure other people hear us name-calling sometimes and must think we are on the verge of divorce. It is just our weird way of being affectionate.

The cat even has a nick-name: the Cat Butt, or Senor Don Gato.
